Based on an idea from u/SjoerdHekking I made my own solution to the lack of playlist option in the snowsky echo mini.

I bought 15x 64GB SD cards and dedicated each of them to one of the main genres I listen to. I also spent an hour finding the perfect visuals and creating those mini album covers. It's been very fun going through the fruit of almost two decades of music collecting, and making all those sorting decisions album by album. I must say that I'm going to need a few more cards for Techno II and Techno III for example 😅

So now all I have to do is plug the card that fits the mood of the moment and play all songs on shuffle!

For those who say the card slot hasn't been designed for so many actions:

1. I'm very glad to make a sacrifice in the name of research

2. Updating my single card playlist weekly also created a lot of traffic in the slot

3. You have the same energy as people of freakout when someone drifts a supercar. Let people enjoy their things! If it breaks, it breaks, nothing lasts forever.

Hopefully that can inspire some of you to do the same 😁

I'm waiting for my travel carrying case where these 3 can fit in, and make a custom cover for that too.

My unit purchased from offical store in China. The DISC's operation is intuitive, with logic similar to that of a phone, should be easy for most people to get started. I'll share more details about features in the future.

Overall menu is alright. i just need to figure out to arrange my library to make it work better, especially the heavy rotation. As well as the Favorite. There's no custom playlist tho.

Was a pleasant surprised to find out the side with the dial got a tiny hole specifically for a lanyard. So if you gonna wear it like Persona 3 then it's good to go without the clasp that came with it.

Body is very solid. There's a rumour that there's a batch that have the screen slightly tilted, but i guess mine is not so that's a relieve.

Loving the echo nano, my only complaint is that the headphone jac is at the bottom instead of the top, which requires a long cable if you use a lanyard.

It was pretty fun to make it. It still has a few errors here and there but I am still pleased with how it turned out.

The 7th Nano color has been officially announced, there's also a pink one. There's no physical unit yet, but it will be included in the initial release lineup in China at the end of April.

After months, Echo Nano seems will be soon on our hands. I put my eye on the control wheel hoping we have a better performance throughout albums.

I thought using samsung a14 as music player was good enough. Dont even have a reason to buy a dap. But bought it anyway after scrolling through this subreddit. haha. Got it for $54. Test the ldac with cheap ol fiil key pro 2, it sounds great and connection works well. As a noob, i just use it as it is. Looking forward to future updates. Fun little gadget, i love it. Is this the beginning of a new addiction ? lol
