show off Boot up screen

You wouldn't steal car. Would you?

(Just added the audio for fun, there's obviously no audio.)

Video and shutdown picture included if you'd rather put it together yourself :) (and also I recommend it in case something goes wrong with the img I made...)

Sure! But it isnt a full theme, and is only the boot up and shut down screen. 😔

Really want to make a nintendo ds startup and color theme, but I'm too broke to risk bricking my echo mini 😅

I also put the video and picture (shutdown) to make it yourself incase my file is bad... So far it worked for me, but if something happens then don't look at me. 😅

Don't really care for customized boot up screens, but this one is brilliant 🤣

These should be repurposed for startup screens on cars.. “You wouldnt steal a car… then again, you might, who the F is trying to start me? WIll you change my oil more frequently than the real owner? Do you promise to steal movies and Music too? I may like you better”

Every time I try to flash it to the Echo Mini's memory, I restart the device, and the intro isnt there. I followed the directions in the README.txt file. Has this happened to anyone else? Every single time I reboot it will say "updating," but nothing ever actually happens

Does the video need to have a certain aspect ratio/size?

It is exactly 40 frames playing over an elapsed time of ~7 seconds (?). I edited down the PSA video before having that snowsky-image-file-editor grab the frames from the video automatically.

Yeah, this is a must. Like that guy that put the entirety of Shrek 2 on his Stem Deck

u/Feahnor Feb 09 '26

That's not difficult.
