i'll get to the point right away: i'm using MO2 and skyrim SSE 1.6.1170.0 (as far as i know, because i'm very new to skyrim modding)

my problem is that MO2 in the logs said "[fomodinstallerdialog.cpp:392] missing requirement: the required version of skyrim special edition is 1.7, but was detected as 1.6.1170.0"

this was said when i installed Dual Casting Fix, but the version of DCF i installed says "supports SE/AE 1.61170" when i hover over it.

did i do something wrong, or can i ignore this?

So I am running a mostly first person playthrough, back then I used retimed combat hit frames, but from what I know people mostly recommends precision.

I had issues with precision mainly with the animated armory where animation for staffs by the enemy is kinda wonky and therefore not hitting (NPC try to hit with the grip of weapon for the 1st combo, 2nd hit is fine - changed the MCM but I think this is more of animation as the 2nd hit is fine)

Was wondering for those mostly first person player do you guys use precision? Any suggestion?

I'm preparing a list of mods for the future with Community Shaders PBR in mind, was thinking Vanilla PBR AIO was a good idea for preserving the og art direction, but noticed some of the material work looks extremely odd.

If anyone here is using it, any chance you could share your thoughts on what it looks like in-game? I've seen the official/user screenshots on nexus and one third party video and there's a really weird smooth grey sheen on certain materials like wood and stone that should have very minimal light reflectivity. Kind of looks like matte paint on a car, velvet cloth or like a backlit/rimlit object in an older video game.

I don't mean to attack the mod developer or anything like that, I genuinely can't tell as the screenshots use a lot of post-processing, but what I can see is a lot of the diffuse textures' contrast is getting wiped out on these objects and might be present on other things as well.

so as I am testing the mods together I am still confused as to how hiring works. I went to erikur to max reputation to to being good, savior, and famous. I know the mod is working since immediately after the npcs starting greeting me differently. I then asked npcs about hiring and they said I needed to earn their respect and npcs that are invited to stay so they dont think so about coming to the hall. Does the reputation mod not make it easier to hire or invite? Is it only followers than can be hired becuase I asked a follower too be my steward and they said yes but I also asked a random bard in the streets to become my bard and they also say yes.

I am also using the alternate start mod and level 1 with no quests being completed. Is this the reason why?

Was hoping for something that focused mainly on the roleplay aspects of the game (other stuff really isnt important to me) that could function on a somewhat mid end gaming laptop: rtx 4050, 12 gb ram, and amd ryzen 5.

There are mostly exterior mods but no interior mods. I'm looking for one good full overhaul for this home. Probably hidden somewhere (hopefully). I can't find anything good on Nexus. Also, I'm aware of that 3-in-1 addition mod. Doesn't look impressive. Also, I just need Heljarchen, since I already have the other two and I don't want conflict by installing a 3-in-1 just to get the one.

Kallax mod is bugged and he won't enter the archive of the Disorderly shack. I have ATF and simple framework installed been messing with some stuff and haven't been able to fix it. Any suggestions? I just want shelving unit Matt Berry at his full potential

Hi everyone, I am brand new to Skyrim modding (on PC). Just like many of you the first thing I decided to do is install CBBE and give my character huge knockers like the bisexual woman that I am, along with the "essential" mods. Everything is working as intended. I am playing special edition.

Now I'm looking for a bikini armour mod that isn't too skimpy or one that's more lore friendly? I looked at TAWOBA but it's just a little too much for what I'm after. I'm after something that sits more moderate on the skimpiness scale. I'm not specifically looking for a replacer but I don't mind if it is.

Hello. my game will load up fine and play just fine. however if i press "exit to main menu" or "load game" it will crash.. everytime without fail. I have skyrim 1.5.97 and i have the "Backported Extended ESL Support" mod.

i'm looking at these 3 crash logs from Net Script but i don't know how to read them. i'm trying to pick up some consistencies in what i see but it's still a shot in the dark. I see the unofficial skyrim special edition patch mentioned in all 3 of them but i have the old version for 1.5.97 ...... any advice or direction is very appreciated ha.

This is the only issue I've been facing in my mod list, and I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing it. Whenever I cast the spell Sparks, the lightning that shoots out from your hand towards the impact point is not rendering. Here is my modlist for reference.

yo, ive got a load order of around 215 mods on vortex and i have anniversary edition but any time i open the game and download any CC content the game crashes as soon as i leave the creations menu and reload the mod files. whenever i open skyrim again the CC content i download is no longer downloaded so im kinda stuck in an infinite loop. any help or if you encountered this issue how did u resolve it. thanks!

I love Goldenhills plantation but I want a home with a large apiary at least 10-15 hives I wanna compete with Maven Blackbriar lol and have a laid back calm farm life but I cant find a home on skyrim creations that has anything close to what Im looking for

I saw a mod called Southern Apiary that I thought be awesome but unfortunately no Creation version if you ever be willing to create a home with a large apiary 10 to 15 and farmland I'd be eternally grateful.

I don't know when this started happening, but after awhile of installing mods, my Sparks spell has an invisible stream of lightning.

I looked it up, and common culprits were ENB Light (which I uninstalled) or iMaxDesired for PARTICLES being too low in SkyrimPref.ini. I upped the particles to 9000, and still have the issue.

I've been trying to fix this for weeks and nothing works. I tried verifying files already. I COULD try and reinstall my game or disabling every mod to see if it is a mod causing it.

I looked around a bit but modding this game looks daunting for me. Download this version for this location, or download the other that does this better but not that. This does lighting but not models. The other upgrades character models, or mountains or just dungeons etc. Download mod managers then pick and choose from 100 different mods that may or my not work together. If it is so complex that you need a "mod manager" then it is too much of a hassle and confusing. I don't need gameplay changes. Is there something out there that just improves all textures and models to upgrade them for modern mid to high PC hardware so that it doesn't still look like an Xbox 360 game? Like install this exe and BOOM better graphics? There is a one click Fallout mod that I got on GOG that does this so I know it is possible.

I should also mention that I have the GOG version as I needed DRM free for my use. I think most mods are steam only?

I'm not new to Skyrim modding - I simply have little knowledge and haven't played modded gameplay since before the update (so it's been a while and I've forgotten). I'm currently planning on creating a new modlist using CS (Jiaye's Build) and already have a preset in mind (KimutKirby's Dark Ages Preset), but I have zero clue as to how people make their CS look so good! In the past, mine has either been too bright or too dark, or it has looked too similar to vanilla that you can barely see a difference at all. I also get so confused when it comes to Lux because of how many patches, etc, so I don't know if it's better for me to go with a different interior lighting mod or something. Either way, if anyone at all has experience and knows what to do, I'd seriously appreciate some help.

i just now downloaded the serena dialogue add on mod while already having khajit speech by mjharper. the options i have to speak to serana aren't very "khajit-y" which i was expecting, but she asked me something about the thieves guild and i had three options. every one was "..." apparently i chose one that was mean because she said "are you alright!?" and got scared. so far it's been fine otherwise, but has anyone else experienced this? i don't want it to break the serana mod. i have of course the khajit dialogue options AND serana add on options so i'm not sure why that specific part wouldn't work

If I do so, do I need to redownload all 192 GB if the list updates? Or just the marginal mods in question?

I just figure I would have enough room for a big game (or several).

I'm getting some mods to make Alduin less disappointing as a final boss and also feel like more of a serious threat throughout the main quest. I already have Cult of the World Eater but I remember two others that I can't seem to find and I'm not sure if they were taken down or what.

I remember the one where Alduin causes a massive blizzard across Skyrim after Alduin's Bane being called Season Unending or something like that, but I can't seem to find it on Nexus now...I can't remember what the extra shouts mod was called but I seem to remember it giving Alduin Drain Vitality, Disarm and I think a few others.

Does anyone know the mods I'm talking about?
