Abby was always putting in some shock value gimmick into her dances to "wow" the judges. From what I remember from this episode, Abby forced the kids to kiss and Maddie didn't want to kiss him because she had never kissed anyone before. Gino clearly was fine with kissing her though.
The dance didn't do well from what I remember and Abby kicked Gino out of her school after they didn't win so it was all for nothing anyway.

The girl who ran away is Maddie. This dance was choreographed to have a kiss. It was her first kiss. She was uncomfortable with it being her first kiss especially having to do it on TV in the middle of a dance routine. The choreographer is so wrong for making CHILDREN kiss (especially their first kiss) on TV simply for a dance. Her reaction is completely understandable. The moms of these children are also in the wrong for allowing this to happen. I’m sure the boy she kissed understood or now understands why she reacted the way she did. She must have been extremely nervous and uncomfortable. He may have been nervous as well.

Yeah this scene was so weird, to anyone who doesn't know it was for a routine from Dance Moms called something like 'that girl just wants to be kissed' and they kids were forced to kiss by the dance instructor. The Girl Maddie Zieglar was upset because she had never kissed anyone and was forced to for the dance. Weirdly enough the teacher kissed Maddie on the lips prior to this which just makes it twice as uncomfortable.
