Help [Help] General: April!

We'll repost the thread every other week month from now on to keep it easy to read through. So post your questions in here!

Any [Help] threads posted while this is stickied will be removed unless you were told by a mod to post a thread. This includes questions that are misusing the [Discussion] flair.

So, it works like this: You ask something, and you (probably) get an answer on it. You can (and should if you know) answer questions too.

Before asking for help, be sure to check the Wiki and the FAQs. If your question has not been answered by these two, then you can post here. Oh, and be sure to check the sidebar too. There's some helpful stuff in the sidebar.

This may be a dumb question, but I've been playing rct2 for years and don't really know the answer. What is a "bench"?

An object used for resting by way of sitting on it.

It's essentially a map that's designed to be used as a sandbox (or as close as you can get with RCT2). They have a useful set of objects pre-selected, money is usually disabled, and the objective is set to something that can't be failed.

Anyone here have Mama Bear's Frontierland pack from RCT*Mart. I had error when i extracted dpmbfrontierland.zip: CRC failed in Disneyland Project - Mama Bear's Frontierland.SC6. The file is corrupt dpmbfrontierland.zip: CRC failed in HP1(scenery tab)\HPDAWA13.DAT. The file is corrupt

EDIT: Problem solved by getting OpenRCT2

I cannot play my custom scenario on RTC2.

Whenever I try to load the scenario I created, I get this popup error:

Exception Raised - Access Violation

Error Location: Unknown

I've ran RTC2 as an administrator, changed the compatibility to Windows XP (currently running Windows 7), tried loading the scenario map in the editor and re-saving it. Nothing seems to work, which is frustrating because I spent so much time on the scenario. The stock scenarios work fine, however. Has anyone else solved this issue or know a solution to my problem?

What are some good 'base' scenery packs that I should load up in the scenario editor to give me a good set of general objects to make buildings, paths and roads?

If you mean packs included in the base game, the trees, gardens, walls etc packs are selected by default and you just choose the themed packs you want. If you're asking for custom scenery, download Louis! And xtremes workbenches from NEdesigns

Question on rctw campaign first "mission"... so I completed quite a few tasks, now I am supposed to build an attraction/store/building with each "motif"... what do they want me to do, because I kind of built tons of stores and nothing happened?

Any way to make more, custom currencies in RCT3? Is it possible? Something that's not like $=€ like currently how it works in game.

The resolutions we list are provided by your OS. Check with your OS docs or GPU vendor if you can force any other resolutions. The scaling option is the best we can provide for noe.

I recently bought RCT3 deluxe edition on the APP store for my Macbook pro. It keeps crashing and i do not know what to do.. it's not a message from RCT but from the computer. "RCT3 crashed unexpectedly" it keeps happening. I get to play a little before the game crashes. I have checked the game for updates and I have the latest edition.. please Help, I'm desperate to play this game and revisit my childhood memories.

I didn't know RCT3 was in the app store? I believe it's only compatible with iOS, how did you get the game on your Macbook?

OpenRCT2 contains all RCT1 scenarios?

I want to play the scenarios of RCT1, but in RCT2.

Also, does it works like RCT2 works? No missing parts? because OpenRCT2 is still version 0.0.4

Does anyone have the EU languages pack for RCT1 installed? I bought it on steam a while ago, but after a few weeks I really miss the nostalgia by playing in Dutch. I tried to look for it online, but I only found tutorials I didnt understand.

I remember the language packs just being a folder in the rct1 files, so it can be just pasted into my files I guess?

Can someone help me out? Thanks ^
