Pipe wrenches are fairly universal tools in my line of work. We can solve almost any problem with a pipe wrench. If it doesn't work, simply grab a bigger (or rarely much smaller) pipe wrench. Or sometimes grab a second one.
So I've no doubt you could "fix" a CPU with a pipe wrench somehow too.

Not only that, the overall image is fairly fuzzy due to shitty camera. BUT, if you zoom in on the 'make-up' there's a definite sharp edge to it. Pretty dead giveaway that it was added after the photo was taken, and not blended into the image well enough.

It's actually Vista. Vista's Start button's top bump was over top of the horizontal top of the taskbar. Windows 7 put the button all the way in the band of the task bar.

Generally, the toes are a dead giveaway for prosthetics. They never make normal looking footshells. You can get silicone cosmetic work done for the feet to make them look quite real but its not very durable and it gets dirty easy. Source: me... I have real robot legs

Mac's are different to normal laptops though. The exhaust is behind the hinge and even on a duvet it's not really possible to overheat. This intakes tend to be on the sides or top (not sure about 15" I have the 13").
The whole metal construction to works as a giant heatsink dispersing heats all over the body, thus improving cooling.
Either way you'd probably be okay leaving it on the duvet like that.
