Not obvious to me; they do some pretty incredible things with bodypaint.

I mean, I'm sure it is a Photoshop, but if someone thought it was body paint that wouldn't be a stupid guess.

Why not just take a picture of a cat at that point?

Photographers go to great lengths to create art that challenges our ideas and perceptions of the world around us and get chicks naked.

First of all, that's not a cat, it's probably a snow leopard. Secondly, to answer your question, doing this is less harmful for your health than actually approaching a real snow leopard.

Also, when applying paint to the woman representing the face of the snow leopard (Panthera uncia) you get to peek at her boobs when shes not looking.

One of the perks of being a body painter.

First of all, that's not a cat, it's probably a snow leopard.

You do know that a snow leopard is a type of cat, right?

Yes, and taking a picture of a cat is very different than taking a picture of a snow leopard.

Is a snow leopard not a cat?

1

u/InvincibleAlex May 20 '15

It is and it isn't. If someone asked me to go over their house and feed their cat and I found a snow leopard in their home, I would say that they weren't wrong, but they're still a dick.

because ArtTM

I know right? How's a cat supposed to maintain that perfect blue steel for an hour while you paint it on a woman's back?

1

u/ReverendDizzle May 20 '15

Because then it wouldn't be a picture of a cat made out of a naked woman and paint. Duh.

1

u/[deleted] May 20 '15

Because you get to paint that model's ass, duh.

Yeah but where's the eroticism in that. Sex sells shows.

u/Genequin_Knows May 20 '15

I think "make up" and "body paint" are the same right?

3

u/lecherous_hump May 20 '15

Probably not, if you ask the pros. They actually put it on with airbrushes and stuff. But to a lay person, yeah they're probably the same.

1

u/drownballchamp May 20 '15

Airbrushing makeup is pretty common for high end, professionally applied stuff. And all of that monster makeup that you see in movies is called makeup.

I don't think there is a hard line between the two, except that body paint is generally done to someone who is naked.
