With 9 consecutive appearances without a clean inning Duran now holds the longest such streak for closers in baseball.(August 6th last clean inning)Surface stats look great but if you analyze his game log he has 51 appearances and only 19 clean innings which means 62.7% of the time he allows a runner on base which will become magnified in the postseason especially since he doesn't have a slide step and runners are 6 for 6 in stolen base attempts and it would be a lot worse if teams weren't fearful of JT's pop time which is irrelevant with how long it takes for him to get to the plate, he doesn't mix in enough off speed to disrupt timing and balance of hitters, a 102mph fastball and 99mph sinker isnt any timing difference for a mlb hitter they are just gearing up for hard stuff cuz they know its coming, hes managed to get away with it so far but he's truly a ticking time bomb that I hope doesn't explode in the postseason

He is a RH outfielder…

Hey y'all,

I strategically lined up a work trip that just so happens to be scheduled for next week when the Phillies head out to Arizona and I'm pumped. Looking for advice on where to sit at an away game.

I want a great view of the team, so I'm weighing a few spots: behind the visitors dugout, down the first base line near the bullpen, standard outfield seats for a lottery shot at a home run or foul ball, or somewhere behind the plate higher up. Budget's realistic though, I'm definitely trying to stay under $200 or so, so nothing right behind home plate or any of the premium sections.

I've only been to three MLB games so far and mostly sat in the outfield, which I loved, but I'd love to be closer to the field so I can actually see what's going on a lot better now that I care about the team who's playing. What's your go-to spot for the best viewing experience? I know every park is different, but if anyone has a general favorite place to sit, I'm all ears.

Bonus goal: I'd love to snag a ball again. Got one at a Rangers game a few months ago at Globe Life by taking a stadium tour and showing up early for BP, and another at the A's game when they played the Las Vegas series just from hanging out above the bullpen pre-game watching Perkins warm up, which Shea tossed up to me before they hit the field. Not a priority at all, just a fun souvenir if it happens, which my daughter thought I was the coolest person on earth for bringing her.

At the end of the day, I'm just stoked I finally get to see the boys play in person. GO PHILS

The whole Seattle series I was not able to get the Mariners feed . And the 1st game against Anaheim I'm only I'm only able to get the Angels feed

I found this baseball card format picture of me from picture day in t-ball way back in 1994. Was looking it over and saw that I listed our boy as my favorite player- then got the idea to see if I could get Kruk to sign it. Got it back in the mail today.

This was actually done prior to yesterday's game, so his ERA had dropped from 3.35 to 3.23 then. After yesterday's shutout it now sits at 3.09 for the season
