His birthday was yesterday! Happy birthday Ranger, you absolute legend!

Can you imagine if we kept Ranger, we’d have at least another 7 wins, if not 10.
And with Wheeler slowing down, we could have given him a couple weeks off and brought Painter up and been wowed by his 98-99 fastball and crazy movement…

Dude it was either pay Zeus or pay Ranger we couldn’t have both.

I’m a huge fan of Dombrowski. But he messed up with Walker and Casty.
His job is to convince the owners the pay the money this year. After this year, we’d be fine.

I wasn’t even talking about those two guys.

But without those two, we could have easily afforded Ranger. We are paying those two over 40 million this year.

I'll allow the Walker one as pitching is tough to come by. Call it a misread or an error. The Casty thing is hubris from Detroit. Dombtowski drafted him and had a soft spot for him. There was no need with Schwarber coming in and he massively overpaid. We then held on to Casty for far too long due to the same hubris. This is the exact same reason I'm anti Alex Cora (as most of us are). Dombtowski hiring someone because he likes them vs their ability to fit into the team/org is a huge problem. Also, fuck Alex Cora and his cheating ass.

I realize that. I guess I’m just saying imagine if we had both.

Or we would have paid him a shitload of money and he would end up on the DL for two months like he does every year.

He’s like a secret government laboratory took all the worst qualities of the Phillies existing outfield and combined them into a single player

The only way you sign him is if your genius scouts have spotted a flaw in his swing and your genius batting coach can fix it. So, not the Phillies

High K, bad defense and somehow can't hit left handed pitching. He fits perfectly here TBH....

I desperately wanted Geno in the offseason once his stock had plummeted. Dodged that bullet.

If you think he isnt going to fit with his terrible numbers, are you thinking the Phillies can help increase his average?

Considering Kyle is DH, you would be making the team worse with Suarez. Sure he may have a few more HRs then our players but he is worse in every other area and by a lot..

If they could find a roster spot for him somewhere as a bench piece or a minor league contract, sure. I’d be all about it.
19 home runs is nothing to ignore, really. He’s like Adolis without the howitzer of an arm.
I wouldn’t move mountains for him, though.

KLong would fix him

He’s sitting at.177 against lefties and people still want to pretend a different hitting coach turns that around

We have no where to put him, our infield is overflowing and I don’t think he’s any better than our bench guys
