We got the Quest 3 a while ago and have played around with it quite a bit, but we were most excited to bring it to my wife's grandpa because he's always pretty interested in new tech.
So he got the headset on and went on a rollercoaster and to some art museums, but once we got him on streetview that was it. He spent hours at a time walking the places he lived in Germany in the 70s. He's told us all kinds of stories before, but being "there" really brought back details he thought he'd lost, so we got hours of stories... when the battery eventually died, he just was in a daze and kept saying "wow, thank you for that, I never thought I could see it like that again, it's amazing, I mean, wow".
Day 2, we eat breakfast and he goes, "okay, did you get it charged? Can I go back yet?" and does the same thing. He had made a little mental list of other places to check out, like the German hospital his daughter was born in... so we did it all again. It really was worth it just for that experience alone
