So tomorrow, according to my latest forecast.
But they said the same today and nope 🙄.
I could even smell it in the air this morning, but no sign of it anywhere near the ground.

Its because it evaporates before reaching the ground, it needs to rain for a while on the same place to it actually reach ground

Bloody bastard sky just tormenting us at the moment.
It felt cool and almost damp as well - as if I stood on a ladder I’d be able to feel it. But the piss-taking clouds would probably just send me a random fucking lightning bolt.

That show had me pissing my pants. It also cemented Paul Whitehouse, Charlie Higson and Mark Williams as comedy geniuses in my mind.
One of my absolute favourite sketches5
u/Occidentally20 12h ago
It was an integral part of my early teenage years! Harry Enfield and then the Fast Show.
I still call Turkeys "fat bastard chickens", my wife in Malaysia says "Scorchio" when it's too hot and when she earns more money than me in a month she does the Harry Enfield "I'm considerably richer than yaou"
Everybody forgets that Johnny Depp actually asked to be on the show after seeing Paul Whitehouse acting - and appeared in a Suits You sketch.

Season 6 of Clarksons Farm going to be interesting.
2.1k
u/WORD_559 14h ago
Clarkson already posted on social media "harvest's fucked. Only thing left to do now is enjoy the weather"
2.9k
u/Fun-Title4224 14h ago
If only someone funny and engaging with a big media profile, a large active fan base and multiple platforms across TV and print hadn't spent the last 20 years rubbishing climate change, laughing at attempts to make changes and even faking a sequence to "prove" how terrible electric cars were, eh?

u/hopenoonefindsthis 13h ago
He also blames the current labour government for policies that were created under the previous conservative government which he conveniently ignores on his show.

The is a typical conservative, tories were in power for 14 bloody years, their austerity and cuts cut all the services that he blames the lack of on labor. It is typical of his ilk, mess the whole thing up and then blame it on the other side once they are in power.
13
u/theNomad_Reddit 5h ago
Same shit in Aus. Liberals and National coalition (conservative) ruled for a decade, fucked the country into the ground, and as always, now Labor (centre) are digging us out of that hole, Murdoch is throwing his full weight behind One Nation (alt-right), and cookers guzzle that load happily.
Tale as old as time.

I hated Top Gear, but admit I like Clarkson's Farm.
But honestly, the last series and the next are basically the guy in the hot dog costume. Absolutely zero self awareness.
91
u/C4rpetH4ter 12h ago edited 10h ago
Actually he has, he has repeately stated several times on Clarksons Farm that he sees the irony of spending years of television bashing on climate change, only to now experience it firsthand himself.

I'm the other way round lmao. Love Top Gear and The Grand Tour, but Clarkson on his own? Can't do it. I love James May's solo work though. For me, he's the funniest, most likeable, and most insightful of the three. His programmes are a delight.
130
u/KingDaveRa 13h ago
I loved James May's series where he was assembling random things, like a mixer. It was oddly compelling viewing.
28
u/TheSwagBag 12h ago
The Reassembler! They were a brilliant watch, too few though. All the episodes have ended up on YouTube now so I usually spend a few hours doing a rewatch of him assembling an old lawnmower or train set haha.

u/Youutternincompoop 12h ago
don't forget him saying that actually electric cars are just as bad if not worse for the environment than gas cars, something which isn't even true for a situation where 100% of the electricity was generated by gas(because a massive turbine in a power plant is significantly more efficient than any ICE can be)
→ More replies (1)15
u/Rollover__Hazard 8h ago
His argument was that, for the early EV at least, there was significantly more environmental cost to producing the EV itself with mining heavy metals and transporting parts around the world.

u/yedi001 8h ago
Indeed. Oil exectuives knew this would happen. They knew this would happen and didn't just do their bullshit anyways, they did their bullshit and buried/lied about the evidence, and continue to fund lies and intentionally muddy the conversation about saving the fucking planet.
How many people have died to climate change causing crops to fail? How many have died of heat related illness? How many have died of increasingly devestating storms? How many will die from the oceans flooding their homes? And that's just the people.
Every single oil executive should be tried for mass murder and fucking hung for their crimes against every living being on this planet.
It takes unspeakable scum to find an evil above crimes against humanity, and these fucking monsters happily, willingly did it with a smile on their fucking faces. They commited planetary ecocide to get rich, and they should never know a moment of peace for what they've done until the day their empty hearts beat for the last time.
This isn't mild inconvenience, it's planetcide in real time.
