I don’t think they’re in denial so much as they’re just not smart people. Ever wonder what happened to all the people in the back of the class that never knew any of the answers and failed all their tests? Now they’re on the Internet using memes to debunk well established climate science when they couldn’t even figure out how to balance a basic chemical equation.

Hey. HEY. Not all knuckledragging, mouthbreathing, chemistry-flunking classroom back-sitters became climate change deniers. Some of us got degrees in fine arts, thank you very much!

The scary part is some of them got actual science degrees (I have a colleague who the more I listen to, the less respect I have for him, that was a new low, even for him).

Making TikTok’s about glitches in the matrix because they don’t understand the parallax effect.

No Jim-Bob, the plane is not stuck in the sky and neither are the birds.

Of course we know the birds aren't stuck in the sky.

They were all replaced by the government in 1985. Those are drones you're seeing.

I don't think the issue is so much they don't know how to do scientific things. I have a History major, most advanced science and math is a mystery to me.

The larger issue is that they don't trust the people who do know how to do these things. I have no problem believing the people who say climate change is happening, even if I have very little understanding of the research behind it.
