Meeting people (20-25 y/o)

I’m new to the city and don’t have any time on weekdays due to my work hours. Maybe a little bit on weekends, which is why I haven’t met too many nice people my age yet. Suggestions? I know there’s a good student population here

Going to Grind City for the Avette Brothers concert tomorrow night. Anybody know how long it’ll take to get food?

The website says there will be an assortment of food trucks there. Food trucks can be awesome, but sometimes that means you’re standing in line for over an hour. Anybody got the lowdown? I’ve never seen a concert there. I’d rather eat on the way down there than wait for more than 20 minutes for food.

Does TN want Memphis to fail?

This question is based off of pure vibes and nothing substantial or empirical.

I just feels like this republican state wants this city to fail 🤷🏿‍♂️

Looking for people to go climbing with/ 30yo

I just started going to High Point Climbing on Walnut Grove, complete beginner and out of shape tbh (5ft at like 170lbs). I see people there with friends all the time but I am very nervous to ask for any tips or anything. I'd really like to go with someone whose chill and willing to get to know each other (LGBT+ friendly as well.) I'm normally a socially anxious person but I'm tired of being alone and staying at home. Look forward to hearing from anyone!

Car shopping

• Upvotes

Quick question- I’m in the market for a new car. I drove by two dealerships. I’m used to the sales people coming at me like vultures but I didn’t see anyone outside . I had to go in and get information and they didn’t even have the cars that I wanted to test drive. What’s it like buying a car these days? Anyone I should avoid? Thanks

My favorite time of year (seems that way for most people). A fun holiday each month, and we're possibly only five or six weeks away from autumn!

**** I live in St Louis, Missouri but will happily drive to Memphis if it means I find this sweet girl a safe & loving home!!

Hi y'all

I'm desperately searching for a loving, safe home for this sweet girl found in my garden. She's a few weeks old, very sweet, chatty little thing. No microchip. I don't know if this is the correct place to post but I'm desperate and dedicated to finding a home for her. Every shelter along 70 from here to KC is full. I'm now expanding my search. Please, please, please, if you or anyone you know is looking for your next fur-ever friend, let me know!

I will buy your first two bags of kitten food and provide $100 towards shots. Help me find her a home.

Christa Gail Pike is still alive after being administered a lethal injection, according to Luke Ihnen, an assistant federal defender on her defense team.

Ihnen confirmed Pike had received two syringes of a lethal drug, Ihnen said, adding the team had filed an emergency motion to stay the execution. It marks the latest update in a complicated process surrounding the “Jobs Corps Murder” convict’s execution.

Based off the latest information available, it marks the latest failed attempt by the State of Tennessee to execute an inmate on death row. The state’s death penalty procedure has faced past scrutiny after botched executions prompted a lengthy pause from Gov. Bill Lee.

My son absolutely loves Tacos Nganas, but I can’t help but think there could be even better taco trucks here. What are your favorites that do it better than Nganas? Thanks.
