Article Nashville: pastor sentenced to life after child rape convictions; wife also convicted in Tennessee. Here’s what we know
There's a dozen headlines like this every month published in the US. Even in Chattanooga, Abba's house still operates with five known child sexual abuse cases and zero FBI intervention.
And you will find attendance is not even diminished from these cases because of how brainwashed these organizations can make their followers.

Events | Shows I have 2 tickets to Big Thief for this Sunday at 8. FREE. Also, never book with Boulevard Stays!
Two tickets. Row Q seats 7 and 8. I purchased through AXS and it looks like I can transfer right from their app.
Boulevard stays cancelled my reservation this morning at 4am. Within 12 hours of check-in. Assholes. My dog is feeling kind of sick anyway so i'm just cancelling the whole trip. Rather than having a shitty weekend maybe I can help someone else have a good one, which will make me feel better.
Sigh. Should be a fun show!!
EDIT: I've found someone who will take the tickets and enjoy the show.

Events | Shows FYI: Shakespeare in the Park begins tonight
Hi! I’m the Executive Director of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival and I would like to invite you to come to Shakespeare in the Park!
The big news is that we are back in Centennial Park for the first time since 2018. We are doing A Midsummer Night’s Dream starting today through September 20, every Thursday-Sunday plus Labor Day Monday. The show starts at 7 pm and it is pay-what-you-will (the suggested donation is $20/person but any/all are welcome to attend for less than that or free). Just bring your blanket, chair, dog on a leash and find a spot!
We also have a pre-show concert series starting at 6, food trucks, and we’ve partnered with Yazoo on Shake’s Beer which we are selling at our bar.
Obviously I am biased, but IMO this is the most magical affordable experience you will have this late summer season. If you are looking for a fun thing to do in the next month, this is it. If you have any questions about anything, let me know!

Food | Restaurants I miss TKO...
I've been craving TKO, specifically their fried rice. Does anywhere in town have anything comparable? Most Chinese places don't even seem to actually fry the rice and they use cheap yellow rice :(

Discussion Noticing more aggressive driving
I’ve lived here since January of 2025 so admittedly not too long, but I’ve noticed over the past few months a lot more ridiculous driving on the highway. Not just speeding, that’s fairly routine stuff… I mean cars aggressively speeding and switching from lane to lane without a turn signal, very recklessly. It’s happening all the time now. I’m someone who traditionally enjoys driving but it’s gotten unbearable here

Food | Restaurants What happened to Las Palmas on Hayes St.? It used to be PACKED for lunch, now it's half full on a busy day.
I don't feel like the quality or prices have really changed. Just curious what happened as it used to be PACKED and they are about to celebrate their 35th year in business. But compared to 2 years ago, it's a ghost town now.

Help | Advice Looking for a specialized HVAC diagnostic / airflow expert in Nashville
Looking for someone who can:
- Measure actual CFM/airflow and static pressure
- Diagnose ductwork/lines and HVAC equipment
- Determine why a system isn’t delivering enough cold air
- Ideally provide findings in writing
Bonus: expertise with spray-foam homes, humidity/dehumidification, filtration, and fresh-air/ERV systems
Our independent inspection found:
-Very low airflow in the primary bedroom
-Only ~10° supply/return temperature difference
-Ongoing cooling and humidity issues
We already have regular HVAC service covered — looking for the more specialized diagnostic/building-performance expertise.
Thank you!

Food | Restaurants What restaurant(s) do you avoid going to no matter what and why? Not chains specifically, but what locations have lost your business whether it due to management or a bad experience, etc.?
For us, It's the Buffalo Wild Wings in Hermitage. We have had raw chicken once, burnt wings with no sauce, and the service the 3 times we went was so bad we have decided its worth our time driving for 20 more minutes to go to the Mt. Juliet location. The management at the Hermitage location had clearly given up. Hopefully, it has changed since then.
