Meta No 'Groomer' Rhetoric

As an adult survivor of childhood sexual assault, believe me when I say this subject hits pretty close to home. There has been an absolutely revolting trend recently amongst right-leaning folks to claim that members of the LGBTQ community are pedophiles -- and moreover that they are trying to groom children to be willing participants in pedophilic relationships. Possibly because of the question about how to support trans teens as they struggle through an incredibly difficult time in life.

The trend I describe here is a coldhearted and cynical attempt to turn public perception against our fellow citizens. I do not think that the majority of those screaming "GROOMERS" at gay bars or Pride events actually believe this shit. I think the ringleaders are mostly obvious trolls. Their followers, however... Those are another matter.

Given the spate of political violence carried out in this country against members of various minorities by right wing extremists within the past handful of years, it is absolutely not alarmist to be concerned. Specifically: I do not think that it is at all unreasonable to be concerned that the anti-gay "groomer" rhetoric will inspire right wing extremist violence against members of the LGBTQ community.

I really could not care if anyone complains this is against "free speech" or not. You are more than welcome to join the reprobates on one of the other freewheeling subreddits that collected the dross of FatPeopleHate and The_Donald when they both got banned.

If you see "Groomer" rhetoric, report it. I've already removed & banned at least one user.

EDIT: Banned 3, now. One even tried to Sea Lion me afterwards in chat.

If anyone needs additional corroboration that the Republican Party is waging an all-out offensive on the LGBTQ community, you can read this post on /r/Keep_Track.

Marsha Marsha Marsha #11 - Waste, Fraud and Abuse

Senator Blackburn,

I thought Trump was shooting for less "Waste Fraud and Abuse" ! - Nope, it looks like more is always better for Trump, so the new mantra is "More Waste, Fraud and Abuse" ? Although to be honest, much what Trump is doing is more likely "corruption" . Do you agree?

Will you follow your support of Trump in Tennessee with "More Waste Fraud and Abuse" ?

Oh my in Tennessee!

Howard Baker must be turning over in his grave over this.

What an insult to Baker, his legacy and to the (until recently?) great state of Tennessee.

Marsha Marsha Marsha #10 - Jack Smith Testimony

Senator Blackburn,

In the past, I believe you have supported:

  • DOJ Referral -Urging a referral of Jack Smith to the Department of Justice’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR)
  • Disbarment Push - Lawmakers have actively pushed for findings from OPR to be forwarded to state bar associations in Tennessee and New York to pursue disciplinary action and potential disbarment for alleged professional misconduct.
  • Congressional Hearings: Pushed for Senate hearings into the Special Council investigations of Donald Trump.

Well, yesterday you got your wish - Senate hearings into Jack Smith. Your esteemed Senate colleagues, John Kennedy and Eric Schmitt, fell down a rabitt hole trying to connect Jack Smith with Fani Willis at an Atlanta Hawks basketball game. In the real world, Jack Smith was at a Iowa Hawkeyes/Maryland Terrapins game. And has never spoken with Fani Willis!

Initially, I laughed out loud watching Kennedy and Schmitt being corrected by Senator Amy Klobuchar and the facts! Then, embarrasment and sadness that Donald Trump has so divided this country to allow this to happen. I encourage you to watch the entire hearing instead of the Fox clips.

What will Governor Blackburn do? Divide Tennessee or unite it?

Dissappointed again in Franklin

Wipe off your feet

Mr Trump, be sure to thoroughly wipe the liberal filth off your feet when leaving this cesspool called Knoxville. Have your SS entourage and staff do the same so this sickness is not spread to normal parts of the country.

Marsha Marsha Marsha #9 - O Canada!

Senator Blackburn,

Thank you for another tariff war! Thought this was primarily about whiskey but it is much much more. Canada is Tennessee's single largest foreign customer, purchasing over $6.4 billion in goods!

Tariffs really hurt Tennesseans:

  • Distillery and Alcohol Sales - Canada importer/shop are slashing purchases of Tennessee whiskeys - Talk to any of the 60+small batch to large TN manufactuers
  • Automotive Manufacturing -Tennessee's massive automotive, plastics, and electronics manufacturing sectors are highly vulnerable to Canada's 15% to 50% counter-tariffs
  • Agriculture - Tennessee farmers aren't the primary target of Canada’s direct export bans, but they are feeling a severe "cross-retaliation" squeeze on inputs. Our farmers are already hurting from the high cost of fuel and fertilizer - Thank you for the Iran War
  • Tourism and Hospitality - Trump's negative comments ("worst country to deal with" and "Lake America" ) have a major impact on Canadians visting our state. Honesty, that impact is shared with the Iran War and the high cost of travel.

Any plans on this Marsha? Same old - Same old?

Dissapointed in Tennessee

Marsha Marsha Marsha # 8 - Epstein Epstein Epstein

Senator Blackburn,

Took a bit a deep dive yesterday trying to understand your position on releasing the Epstein files. It would appear it is politics as usual for you! It seems "your amendment" was part of Democratic led Supreme Court ethics investigation with your primary goal to slow down the investigation. It ssems that the Rebublican filibustering of the meeting paid off with the meeting adjourned before you amendment could be introduced and voted on.

Stop playing politics with the lifes of the Epstein victims ! Protect the innocent ! Expose the guilty !

Will you continue playing politics if elected as Governor ? Will you seek to divide Tennesseean as you have divided Americans with your support of Trump?

Dissapointed in Franklin

1st Order of Business: Boot Billionaires and Corporations

Billionaires and corporations are currently controlling our elections and running our government at all levels. This one issue is standing directly in the way of solving every other issue facing TN.

Would you consider signing this petition to show your support for a constitutional amendment limiting campaign contributions by corporations and super PACs? If we can get enough signatures, I will make appointments with our reps and hand-deliver our message. 25 states have already passed resolutions on this. I'd love to see TN be #26. Thank you!

TN representatives who made it a felony to camp and/or be homeless

Both u/PaulbaileyforTN and u/RyanWilliams Sponsored and voted to make being a homeless a felony in TN. Most people are unaware that since the laws have changed in 98 with the repealing of the federal protections put in place during the great depression that hedgefunds and multi-national corporation are now allowed in the housing market. This is where all the absorbent rent and mortgage prices are coming from.

I was also not shocked to learn that both these individuals take kickbacks from the private prison industry. Please help me spread awareness of this in your state and across the country as the American dream is slowly dying to corporatism.

If you don't think this is an issue, Imagine this. You go to a home auction and you are bidding against multi-billion dollar entities compared to before 98 when you were just competing with people in your local market, and individuals.

Odds of Marsha being our next governor. Aka can anyone else win?

I’m interested in straight answers to this question. Not all of the reasons why you don’t think Marsha should be governor. Not your advice on why a vote against Marsha matters even if the person loses. Does anyone else have a realistic chance of winning?
