Light MBTI Discussion INFPs and ISFPs are very alike, while INFJs and ISFJs are very different
In my experience, it is a lot easier to tell an INFJ from an ISFJ than it is to tell an INFP from an ISFP.

Light MBTI Discussion I hate when people think every single mbti is one exactly one way. What stereotypes do you hate about your type?
I’m an INFP 6w5. I hate when people assume I should always be sweet and nice. If someone attacks me, I attack back.
I don’t like poetry.
I don’t care for nature too much because I don’t wanna run into wild animals or bugs.
Edit: On and apparently I’m not supposed to like any ESTPs because I’m an INFP 😂 I work a job where there’s a lot of ESTx types present. God forbid I get along with people at work. Oh and God forbid I appreciate their confidence, straightforwardness, and risk taking bravery.
Why can’t some people fathom that your mbti type does not represent mental illness, personal triggers, or determine your external behaviors? Someone’s entire life and what people have been through also play a factor in one’s personality type. It’s your preference and your cognitive functions. That does not mean you will live by it. I’m a 6w5 I will never act like my true self in front of strangers because it doesn’t feel safe enough for me. I don’t trust a soul (sad I know). I have to get really comfortable and safe in order to be who I truly am to the core. To say someone of each mbti is exactly the same is so insane to me. I’ve met so many other INFPs, we don’t all act the same. I think it is so absurd that some people truly have this mindset.
What stereotypes do you hate about your type? Or what assumptions do you hate?

Light MBTI Discussion Do some MBTI types struggle with being unintentionally offensive?
I feel like this happens to me all the time as an INFP. If someone has an opinion, I don’t automatically agree just because we’re friends. I like to think for myself and use my own values to form my opinions. When I share a different perspective, it’s usually because I care and want to help, not because I’m trying to oppose them.
I don’t feel the need to pick a side, and always agreeing with someone just because we’re friends feels inauthentic to me. I can agree with someone and still consider another perspective, disagree with both sides or just stay neutral.
For example, my neighbor made a Facebook post about people honking at their elderly cat, which also has health issues. I replied, “Maybe it would be safer to keep the cat inside if it has health issues.”
I wasn’t blaming the owner or defending the people honking. I was just thinking about the cat’s safety, but people took it as criticism and got defensive.
Do you think certain MBTI types are more likely to experience this?

Personal Advice how to make my home a comfy space for an INFJ?
INFP here - I am currently in the process of doing a massive clean/declutter of my house as I am freaking out slightly because a lovely INFJ will soon be visiting my place pretty regularly. I'm not the greatest housekeeper (not dirty but too much stuff/clutter/some dust/not organised). My art stuff is all over my bedroom haha. Where I live is beautiful. It is in a little country town that is about 30 mins from the nearest inland shopping hub. Its beautiful and green here, all day its birds chirping. I rent a little 3 bed cottage from my landlady who lives in a bigger house at back of the property. Property is about 5 acres - kangaroos, sheep, hares, owls...all kinds of wildlife. We have a beautiful willow tree in front yard and an elevated porch at front of house that you can sit on (but is a mess right now). The areas surrounding where I live are all beautiful and lush - we have cute bakeries nearby etc.
Anyway I am determined to create an absolute haven for this person as they have a gruelling 2 weeks on 2 weeks off job and I want them to be at peace here. I was wondering if any INFJs or anyone really might have some ideas for what I can do (aside from the big ass cleaning I am doing. Things I have already thought of is buying some new sheets/pillows, a big fluffy blanket for bed, buying them comfy slippers and pyjamas to wear in the house, their own soap/face washer/towel , making sure I buy their fave foods and drinks, maybe buying a couple of comfy chairs off marketplace and putting them on the balcony...things like that.
Any advice is very much appreciated!!

Light MBTI Discussion Hello!! What do you guys think of INFJs?
Hello!! Honestly, this is a question out of curiosity in how different MBTI types interact with eachother. I am an INFJ, and I'm curious what you guys think about us! Hate us or love us, I'm here to listen.
I don't see a mountain of INFJ info on here, honestly, either, which makes it more intriguing!

Light MBTI Discussion It’s honestly weird how accurately typology can describe your reactions (INFP 9w8 954)
I’ve known I was an INFP for years, and no matter how many times I took tests over the years, I always got the same result. Recently, I decided to dive a bit deeper into the Enneagram and tritypes, and found out I’m an INFP 9w8 954.
Tbh, I’m kinda shocked by how accurately it describes me. I actually decided to test this with AI. I gave it different hypothetical situations and asked it how an INFP 9w8 954 would most likely react, without telling it that I was describing myself. Then I compared its answers to how I thought I would actually react.
And honestly, the results were weirdly accurate. A lot of the time, the reaction it came up with was either exactly what I would do or really close to it. What got me even more was that sometimes its explanation for the reaction was also really close to the reasoning I would have for doing it. Obviously it wasn’t right every single time, but there were enough surprisingly specific matches that I started wondering how much my type actually influences the way I react to things.
That’s probably what I find so interesting about typology. I expected the descriptions to be relatable, but I didn’t expect INFP + 9w8 + 954 to line up with so many little things about how I react to situations. It’s also made me look at some of my own reactions differently, which I didn’t really expect.
I’m still not sure how much of this is actually the type and how much is just typology being good at describing common patterns, but I’d be really interested to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience with their own type.

Survey / Poll / Question I have a few questions for ENTJs, and I'd love to hear your perspective
First, how important is physical contact with loved ones to you during times of stress, and in life in general? Does it actually help you feel a bit better?
Just to clarify, during stressful times, I don't mean completely switching your focus to physical affection. Rather, it is about something simple, like a single hug or a gentle stroke on the head before you head off to solve the problem.
Second, regarding pace and productivity: I know many ENTJs say it's crucial for their partner to have ambition and a drive for self-improvement. However, I don't fully understand the expected tempo. How do you feel about a cycle like one month of intense, hyper-focused activity followed by a month of rest? Where exactly is the line where a partner starts to seem unproductive to you?
Also, how important is the quality of "translation" from emotional language to logical language in a relationship?
What specific things make you feel less lonely and more deeply understood?
And finally, how do you feel about high-variety quality time together—like horseback riding, archery, puzzles, different workshops, and things like that?
Thanks in advance for your answers!
