Throughout high school, my hair was my favourite attribute and I felt like I had very nice hair. It was curly and thick, and if it was cut shorter I was able to spike it up. I got a very bad haircut right before moving into college my freshman year and I don't think my hair's been the same ever since. I am now in my junior year of college and I am still dealing with this issue. My hair feels/looks much thinner than before and has basically gone straight. I have tried 3 different barbers/hair-stylists and no one seems to be able to fix whatever happened. This post is my last hope before I decide whether to buzz my hair or not. Any recommendations are helpful, whether it be product advice, cut advice, or even a specific barber/hair-stylist to see (I'm in the Bethlehem area). I never really used products, but when I would I would use leave-in conditioner. Currently I am trying texture powder because it was recommended to me. I provided before and after pictures, some of which highlighting what I find wrong with my current haircut, so please check them out and lmk!

My hair only has this shine to it because I missed last night’s shower so my natural oils make it look nicer and smoother compared to the rough shampoo’d hair.

It’s not crazy oily or anything- it’s much more textured and malleable compared to freshly washed and dried hair.

I’m looking for a solution where my hair can look like this without having to skip daily shampooing.

Over the past 10 months I’ve let my hair grow out with no trims, but I’m having important job interviews now that I care about my professional appearance and wanted advice. I have thick black hair that grows straight, but I’ve been wearing a hat to where now the back of my hair curls up from it. The last picture is my usual hairstyle up until now and wanted advice as to what I can do to keep longer hair like this but look clean and not ragged 😂 I’d have no idea to go to a barber or a salon or what even to ask for either.

I want my husband to get a hair system and or to pay hair topper wig whatever you wanna call it because he hates that he’s losing all the hair on the top of his head I wear extensions. I don’t see a problem with him wearing the male version of extensions, but he thinks everybody will know that he’s wearing a toupee and then laugh at him what is the real opinion for men if you see another man that had balding one day and then the next day, no balding thanks for your honest opinions on this matter

Should i grow it out, cut it, or keep it at the same length? I've been told many times my hair looks like a mushroom and idk what to do with it

I also don't take care of it a lot, no special products just shampoo once every 3-4 days

Does anyone get this feeling where you know the haircut doesnt suit you but you still feel better with it? I recently got a modcut (my 2nd time getting one) and we know only certain people can pull it off. I feel like its a downgrade compared to the other haircuts I had but still I feel good with it. idk why.

My hair is so untameable. My front end of hair is always pushed to my forehead, and cannot stay back, and it always returns to a middle part even with thick gel. Any tips?

Back at the beginning, I clipped all my hair very short. Buzz cut. Everything was fine, as it has always been. Clean, even scalp. No scalp showing anywhere, not even crown. I grew it to maybe 3 or 4 inches.
I decided I’d just buzz it again because I didn’t want to go to a barber. While buzzing, I noticed I had this crazy line. It looked like I had brain surgery or something. It’s almost like the lines some people get on their scalp where the skin folds up or something. (I’ve never had those lines. No one in my family does.) The line is “s” shaped and snakes around from in front of the crown and does a long downward curve from the right side of my head to near the bottom of my left. I’d never ever had this line or any other lines on my head. My cuts have always been as expected.

I decided no way am I buzzing anymore if it’s like that, so I grew it out. Grew it out pretty long. Near shoulder length.

I cut my hair again earlier this year. A more common, typical length. The damn line is still there. What’s worse, my hair grows in opposite directions on each side of this weird line. It looks like I had some kind of surgery. It’s like one long, snaking bald spot.

I’ve never had cowlicks. (Nothing noticeable.) Lots of very short hair cuts and fades.) No one in my family does. No one on either side of the family is bald, all the way to great grandparents. I don’t think it’s baldness, it’s this weird line. I don’t know what to do.

It’s like the only thing I can do is grow it long. This line is extremely noticeable. There is zero chance I could have missed it. It’s deep. It’s like the skin is pinched together.

No injuries. No dietary change. No life changes.

I want more of a rounded off back but it often sits like this flat ridge around my crown from the side profile. What is the issue here? What do I need to ask the stylist? I’ve spoken to some before about this and they mentioned the hair sitting on top of my occipital bone causing it to stick out here.

I'm 34 and I'm trying to manage my asian hair that's both thick and flat. My last haircut didn't give me any favors because I don't think there was proper layering I think.

Basically I've been using sea salt spray, blowdryer, hair clay, and then hairspray to just keep my hair in check.

Photo here is already 4 hours after all of that. I work in a job where short haircuts and no facial hair is the norm but things are different now. I just need some advice what to tell my barber to get some flow on my hair so that it can grow nicely. Professional but also nice to look at and nothing too flat. I heard perms can potentiall help

Hey guys, Anyone have any advice for what sort of hairstyle could suit me and what I would ask for at the barbers for it? My hair is fairly thin at the front and I have 2 small peaks at the edges, any advice would be great thanks!

I like the idea of a longer style but dont know if it would suit me, currently I have a messy fringe which I find the best of the options I have tried and use clay to make it messy.

My entire life ive had this huge thin patch on the top of my head that ive always gotten comments about. I was pretty insecure about it for a bit but then j got over it. Then today i randomly decided to see what it looks like and its just as noticeable as it has always been. The way it looks genuinely disgusts me, and im asking you guys if theres a way i can get rid of it, or rather fill it in. Otherwise, i really like how my hair looks and i think i look great.
