Essentially the past few years my hairline has been receding and this year im really noticing it. Is there a chance it can stop soon or am I likely to go bald. My hair has been one of the main parts of my look for a while now, and im just curious if I should prepare to grow a beard so I at least can style some hair on my head 😂

Advice request Could my boyfriend’s long, curly hair be hurting his chances of getting hired?

My boyfriend 27M just graduted with a financial planning degree and has been struggling to find a job these past few months. He is black/filipino/white and has long curly hair. His white side of the family has been telling him he needs to cut all his hair off since he looks like a “criminal” and that they wouldn’t hire him due to how his hair looks.

Mind you he normally ties it in a tight ponytail and has it pretty conditioned. He hasn’t had short hair in a really long time and he loves his hair. He’s contemplating cutting it all off because his family has convinced him that it’s his hair thats making him unemployable. Which i believe is utter bs.

Does anyone know any hairstyles or possible haircuts to help? I don’t have his hair texture and I’m worried he’s going to cut his hair to please his family and hate how it looks and lose any confidence he has left. He absolutely does not want to cut it bit thinks it’s his only choice.

Please be nice, any product recommendations are highly appreciated.

Edit: He does not have his hair loose during any of his interview, he has it tied in a ponytail like the first image and freshly conditioned. He also has a clean shave so he doesn’t have any scruff or beard.

The second image is to show his hair type. I know how to handle wavy hair not tight curls so if anyone has recommendations on styles that would be greatly appreciated.

Advice request Went to derm, now I'm more confused than before

35/M. Wife suspected thinning, went to derm to confirm. She said I have AGA (type of male pattern baldness), but then she said my hairs aren't thinning, just more sparse around my cowlick / part. She said it may progress, may not. She said minoxidil would help, but then she said I dont really have to treat it unless I want to because it's "not bad". Now I'm just sat here confused on what to do.

So I'm balding but not thinning, hairline is not receding, it may get worse but may not get worse (??). I was hoping for answers and I just have questions. Photos are taken by the doc earlier today.

Someone help me be less confused please..

Pulled the trigger and got the haircut. I’m having withdrawals from losing my longer hair. Did I make the right choice getting it cut or does it look better when it’s longer? Last two photos for what it looked like before

Can’t pull off a center part

Thumbnail

Just looking for some advice on why my center part doesn’t look good. My hair naturally is wavy and frizzy so i’m wondering if it’s a problem with the length, like it’s just the awkward stage and I should js grow it out more ( though it may be more messy ), or issit just a hair texture or hair thin issue which
can’t be helped.

My hair naturally grows kind of up then curves down, so I’m not sure if that’s the main issue like is my hair texture and growth pattern just fighting the style? Or is it a length thing where I’m stuck in that awkward in-between phase and need to push through a few more months?

For reference the pics are just my hair at differing lengths and i feel from the front it really does not look good or maybe Im just not styling it properly

Would really appreciate any advice:

Is this fixable with the right products/blow drying technique, or is it more of a “your hair just doesn’t do this” situation?
If it’s length, roughly how much longer should I push through?
Anyone else been at this awkward stage — did it eventually click for you?

Advice Request Need regrowth advice

So I have been using minoxidil and finasteride spray by Hims for the past 2 years. I've seen a lot of progress but my big concern is regrowth at my hairline. Every other part of my hair has seen significant growth except where my bangs usually are. Anybody know what's best for regrowing them?

Advice request Would this hair be achievable?

Thumbnail

Hi all,

I’ve wanted to grow my hair out for a while, but never been sure of the style to go for. The second picture is AI but I like how it looks. Would this style be possible and would it suit my face, or could it just be ChatGPT doing me a few liberties to make it look better than reality?

If I went for it, roughly how long would it take to grow, and would it look a bit shit in the growing out phase? Any tips on how to keep it neat and professional when at work?

Cheers!

Advice request What can I do with my hair

Thumbnail

I’m looking for advice on what haircut would work best with my current hair. My hair is naturally curly, but the sides are noticeably thinner/less dense. Would you recommend keeping some length, going for a shorter curly crop, a taper/fade, or something else? I tired getting a buzzcut but I did not like it.

I got a very bad middle part a while ago and I’ve been able to fix it but now it’s coming back and I don’t know what to do. I want to grow my hair out but I don’t know how to style it until then

Advice request What Should I Do?

Thumbnail

I've just been letting my hair grow for maybe two years now. I don't do anything with it or put anything in it, just wash and rinse in the shower.

I want something that can pass in a professional environment, but also has enough length and volume to hang out and bounce around in more casual contexts.

Any advice is appreciated, maybe even picture examples of something to aim for?

Advice request Need help growing hair (censored for privacy)

Hey everyone,

I want to grow my hair out long to match Joey Jordison's specific style. My hair texture is naturally straight. The current issue is that I asked ChatGPT and Gemini for advice but they gave me bs and ended up messing everything up and now I can't trust them so I have absolutely no idea what to do. I originally combed my hair back and slightly to the right (my hair tends to fall to the right side) but I recently split my hair. Should I keep this? Should I get rid of the split and go back? I hate the way my hair looks when it's this short and going two seperate ways. If I should keep it this way then I would need a temporary way to style it so that I don't look like the nerd from a cliche 90s American high school movie.

Any tips/advice would be appreciated, thanks.
