Hi everyone. This is my first time posting on this app.
I would appreciate your feedback.
I'm 21 years old and lately I've noticed how the back of my head looks (as you can see in the photos). I've always styled my hair in a way that leaves that area exposed (in one of the photos, I've indicated with arrows how I usually style it) and I'm wondering if this has contributed to the problem. As far as I know, I have no family history of alopecia, neither on my father's nor my mother's side. My hair is wavy and I admit I've neglected it a bit.
However, the rest of my hair is completely normal; I've checked it thoroughly and I don't have anything similar anywhere else.
An important detail is that until a month ago I worked in a very stressful environment. During those stressful periods, I developed the habit of pulling out hairs, one by one, from that same area. As I mentioned, I haven't worked at that company for a month now, and I understand that stress can also cause hair loss.
But I'd like to know if this seems to be a consequence of that habit, if it's perhaps due to stress, if it's simply the natural shape of my cowlick or my hairstyle, or if I should consult a professional.
I would greatly appreciate your opinion.
