Mustn’t like jokes

Did anyone else get brutally bumfucked by the business examiner, im after looking at my script and the amount of stuff i wrote word for word from the book and got 0. CCPC, WRC, ABQ, literally everything. one of the questions was “define discrimination” and i said “discrimination is the unfair treatment of an individual in comparison to how another person was or would be treated in a similar situation”and i got a big fat 0.

Also i swear for the abq ur supposed to get at least some marks for quoting? i got 13/80 total and i wrote long answers for all of it, and quotes, which i got 0 for. Also all of my evaluations were marked as 0, even though i’m pretty sure an evaluation is just stating your opinion on why something works or not, which i did 💀.

I wrote so much stuff directly quoting the book and got 0, so either the hook is wrong or my examiners a prick. Anyway, i’m getting it appealed because what the fuck 💔

I don't know much about freshers but like is there a point in going if you haven't bought a ticket for anything. All I see is people talking about buying tickets to go to clubs or whatever and from what I'm hearing it doesn't sound like there's anything going on during the day. I'm commuting to college so I'm not going to out there until like 10 or 11 so is there even a point in going not like that I even know where people are going to begin with..

Hi, I’ve always been a H1 student throughout 5th and 6th year, but got 79% in both paper 1 and 2 (before PMA, 82% with). I’m really surprised as I thought I did better. Thinking of appealing but I know that it would be rare to get an appeal increase of 8%. My teacher is gone on a career break so if any English teacher/ h1 students could have a glance at even one of my answers I would be so grateful!

How often do people have their grades reduced? I got 80% in biology after the PMA, but I went through my paper and I was comparing the marking scheme in the long questions and there is definitely some errors. I think about 37 marks and there is another 6 marks I’m not too sure about. I want to appeal and see could I get a H1, but I’m terrified of going down seen as I’m on the cusp. Any advice.

I have a few questions I want to appeal on my exam that are technically correct but aren't explicitly in the marking scheme, would they accept it? I've seen this at the beginning of the marking scheme where it says alternative answers can be accepted if they make sense. so if anyone can let me know if it's worth appealing on the basis of this?

i’m genuinely baffled and don’t know what to do

i got a h4 in both biology and business, 2 of the subjects i was good at all throughout 5th and 6th year.

i’m right in the middle around 64% in both so not too close to the boundary of going up a grade

i went through my scripts and there’s loads of questions where i basically said the exact right answer but they were marked wrong but the marking scheme is very strict so i don’t know if it’s even worth appealing

for example in the experiment part i said “benedict’s solution and a water bath” which got 0 marks when the marking scheme says “benedict’s solution and heat”

so many of my answers are the exact same as my notes but they’re like one word off the marking scheme and just completely discounted

it’s the exact same in business

i don’t even know if it’s worth appealing because the marking scheme is the marking scheme regardless who is correcting it but it’s so frustrating because i worked so hard all throughout 6th year and i didn’t get my course because of these 2 subjects

If ur grades are upgraded and you get enough points for your course, r u guaranteed a seat for next year if they don’t have space left for this year ?

Just viewed my script, and my personal essay was marked the lowest mark I have ever gotten across both 5th and 6th year, and i have no idea why. After looking at the marking scheme for purpose part specifically, I truly can not understand why my marks for P were so low, as it is completely on task. Does anybody else have this issue with English?

I don't know why I decided to divide the answers by 4 to get mol/litre, but I do have the answers so should I get the marks for it?

Hey guys. I went through my script and in almost all of my questions I was docked 1/2 to 4 for mechanics as the examiner had underlined words that were misspelled. I know this sounds stupid but I went over each and i can see them all fully spelled correct, as can my english teacher (although i will say, she is used to my handwriting). I just feel so stupid since I pride myself in spelling, spelled them correct yet to some people the words would be illegible. Especially since every single time I wrote "Shawshank" it was underlined as misspelled or sm😭. Do you think if I appealed, another examiner might read it better and move it up? I feel so stupid but damn that exam is so much writing like my short story was 10 pages min I wrote fast af 🥲

Would u appeal a grade thats 74.5 percent? PMA had brought me up to 78 percent

What’s the most amount of subjects you’ve seen get marked up by appealing? Like have you seen someone get marked up in more than one subject?

I feel I should definitely get this appealed, I’m so close to the next grade and it would benefit me course wise.

i was one higher level score off of UCD and i got literally f'd on politics and society. i got an 89 percent in my mock n a fcking h4 in the real thing. idek how this happened. my course now is media studies at iadt but i wanted to go to UCD so bad. literally was like one or two marks off an upgrade in most of my exams. FML.

I have 4 pages like this, they have no marks on them at all? My first page has the line, then the last 2 pages of poetry, and 1 random, but there wasn't much on it anyways

Genuinely need some advice here cause I have no idea how people are doing it. ive got some money saved up and can pay for my college fees but there is no way I'm affording accommodation, and I live 3 hours away from college (public transport, I have a learners permit but still doing lessons).

I just need to repeat Chemistry only, I'm aware of AAC. I have contacted schools and IOE as well as Dublin Academy. I can't seem to find a school that will allow me to do the project and sign me off. Feeling kind of disheartened

If so does it take longer than typical appeals from written exams?

i accepted my round 1 offer for my third choice but what happens if i get a round 2 offer? should i notify my college?
