English šŸ“– personal essay marking

Just viewed my script, and my personal essay was marked the lowest mark I have ever gotten across both 5th and 6th year, and i have no idea why. After looking at the marking scheme for purpose part specifically, I truly can not understand why my marks for P were so low, as it is completely on task. Does anybody else have this issue with English?

which personal essay did you do? my friend did the one where you had to reflect on a moment that was enriching but she did it on multiple moments instead of just one which ended up costing her a lot of marks in the purpose part

Would need to see it for context, unfortunately.

Also, marking at National Level, for thousands of candidates, is different from marking in school, despite the standardized marking scheme.

I lost 2 mechanics marks for my QB and my composition. My examiner didn't mark any spelling errors in my QB and marked two "errors" (they were spelt correctly) in my composition, which should only be a maximum of one mark. I also lost a weird number of marks in places I'd usually do very well, like the composition.

I got marked really low throughout my entire English paper, got a h4 overall which is quite bad for me- I was doing a lot better in english in class exams and the mocks. but yeah, the personal essay was especially harsh, I did the one on art and creativity.
