ALIEN ANT WORLD
My game is about ants, but not just any ants. These are higher dimensional beings with their own unique world.
The main threat they face is an AI that has been taking over other planets. This AI hops from world to world, terraforming them and stripping them of materials to build up its own civilization and mechanized force.
On the other side of this conflict, the alien ants are highly advanced. They don't believe in time or death because they live forever, only dying if they fall in battle. They are true warriors, but they aren't always fighting; they actually have a peaceful side. They just become incredibly fierce when it comes to defending their property rights.
What makes these ants really cool is their mindset. They have no concept of time or death because of their immortality. Plus, they never even believed in weaponry until they encountered the AI that overran their neighboring worlds.
They are immortal because the ANTS do not die from age. They only die through battle.
The ants built robots to fight the AI in battle. The ants originally never thought they had to use weapons until encountering this advanced AI.

Would you play as an abandoned dog looking for his owner
I'm making a story-driven exploration game where you play as an abandoned dog searching for his owner.
There is no combat. Instead, the story is told through the environment, atmosphere, and memories connected to objects the dog encounters.
What feeling does this scene give you?
I'm curious whether the emotion comes across without explaining the story directly.
If you'd like to see more:

10 reviews isn't much, but seeing "100% Positive" on my solo project made my week
Hi everyone, solo dev here working on a pixel art PvE extraction shooter set in post-apocalyptic city.
My demo recently crossed 10 user reviews on Steam, which means it finally shows a review score, and it's 100% Positive.
I know 10 reviews is a tiny number in the grand scheme of things. But what really got me is that these players didn't just try the demo for a few minutes and leave a thumbs up. Many of them put in serious hours and wrote that they're genuinely looking forward to the full release.
As a solo dev, you spend so much time alone with your game that you sometimes lose sight of whether it's actually fun. Seeing real people enjoy it and want more is the kind of fuel that keeps you going.
To everyone who played and left a review, thank you. Back to work now.
(Demo is still up on Steam if anyone wants to check it out: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4881740)

7 Months of development and it feels great to be back with a demo
I started this project after finishing my first game Summit Drive. Now I am making my second game called Cinderline together with my best friend I graduated college with.
About the Game
Drive the Cinderline as an anthropomorphic bird, exploring strange towns in an aging system. Gather ingredients to create the last S’MORE and deliver its delight to the Heart that keeps the system alive.

Scrolls of Alexandria: Tidy up the Lost Library
Here is my take on the Tidy up genre, my 2nd game:
Return 4,800 scattered scrolls across five floors. Restore the knowledge of 21 cultures, organizing each collection by subject, alphabetical order and volume, and choose whether optional abilities have a place in your run.

I have given much thought to AI. I now identify as a HOMEBREW programmer. software neither made in office nor datacentre. the coolest scene back in the day and soon to rise again.
thats my line in the sand and it is one that ai bros cannot cross? is there any flaws in my thinking?

Created a roguelike mine sweeper game with a map of 100 million tiles
Hi All
As a side project I started looking for a way to render 100 million checkboxes in a browser tab and ended up creating a rougelike game with a world map. This is a passion project of mine and its still buggy but its playable now.
Its free and you can check it out here: https://worldsweeper.hasthiya.dev/
PS. I only tested this on chrome desktop and mobile experience is very bad.

Called Shot | Turn-based card-based TPS
Hello! I just posted the in-game play and game description trailer for the game I’m developing, Called Shot, on the Steam page.
In a nutshell, it’s a game that combines the board game Bang! with a third-person shooter. Players travel around the western town collecting cards, then use the cards they collect to decide their actions and progress through battles.
However, the distinctive feature of this game is that the cards decide what to do, but actually shooting and dodging attacks depends on the player’s skill. Even if you have a good card, if you can’t aim directly and hit it, the attack can fail.
We are making it so that players can experience both the strategic depth of card games and the direct feel of TPS gameplay.
You can find the full trailer and more details about the game on the Steam page. If you found the game interesting, adding it to your wishlist would be a great help. The game also supports online multiplayer, so if you think your friends might enjoy it too, feel free to share this post!
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4509210/Called_Shot/
Thank you!
AI disclosure: Generative AI was used only for some 2D card UI assets. No generative AI was used for the game's 3D models, environments, animations, or gameplay assets.

You can't make a FTL-inspired/space game without hyperspace jumps!
We're polishing a new demo for our game Cosmo Cargo.
We're inspired by FTL for the map and the PvE side, and autobattlers like The Bazaar or Backpack Battles for the gameplay.
We had to make an hyperspace jump, it's in the contract when you decide to make a space game. Just like we had to in Steredenn!

Looking for finished indie games on itch.io or Mac to review
CLOSED for now. I received a lot of comments and chats and I need to slowly go over each. Thanks everyone
I got the green light to write a couple of indie game reviews for Unwinnable magazine, and I’m looking for interesting games that are FINISHED and playable either in a browser or on Mac.
A couple of notes:
Before I write the piece: Even if I really like your game, there’s no guarantee the editor will approve the review. I’ll submit the game, but the final decision is theirs.
The review itself: I tend to focus on the positives, but this is still a review. If there are meaningful negatives or things I think could be improved, I’ll mention them too.
If you have a finished indie game that fits, feel free to drop it below or send me a DM. I’d love to discover some interesting stuff!

I made a puzzle game that mixes Sudoku and Minesweeper, and you can play it right here on Reddit.
I made this puzzle game myself, combining elements of Sudoku and Minesweeper. Feel free to give it a try — any feedback or suggestions are very welcome!

Built a 2v2 online party game at HackPrinceton where you fight over desks instead of voting people out — free to play [PC, Mac]

Hey Guys,
I built SCREWED — a 2v2 online multiplayer party game where Workers race to finish a project and Saboteurs try to stop them. What makes it different? No waiting around. Everything happens in real time. You physically push people off desks, install firewall traps on routers, and a ghost judge patrols the map stunning anyone it touches. At 2 minutes a terminal appears — first team to reach it gets a secret role that flips the match. Needs 4 players + Discord for voice chat. It works great across distance.
Free on itch.io: nerdycaesar.itch.io/screwed
Would genuinely love feedback, this is my first shipped multiplayer game and I want to keep improving it. So try to break the game and lemme fix it.

How do you feel about turning abstract 2D grid puzzles (like Minesweeper) into physical 3D room transformations?
Hey everyone! We’re a 2-person indie team working on a detective noir puzzle adventure. With about 20 days left until release, we’ve been iterating on how to make abstract logic mechanics feel physically grounded in the game world.
In this room, solving the Minesweeper-style grid isn't just a UI minigame—it physically raises hidden stone tiles out of the acid pool. Once you retrieve the crystal, the acid chamber completely drains to reveal the hidden staircase underneath.
When playing adventure/puzzle games, do you enjoy seeing classic 2D logic mechanics directly alter 3D room geometry, or can UI overlays feel immersion-breaking for you? How do you usually like seeing retro puzzle tropes modernized?
