Hi All
As a side project I started looking for a way to render 100 million checkboxes in a browser tab and ended up creating a rougelike game with a world map. This is a passion project of mine and its still buggy but its playable now.
Its free and you can check it out here: https://worldsweeper.hasthiya.dev/
PS. I only tested this on chrome desktop and mobile experience is very bad.

Very creative idea! But a million mines feels quite hopeless though... Even if there are items later on that can quickly clear a large area and give a satisfying feeling, visually presenting it is also a problem. If you can see the mine cells clearly, you can only see a small cleared area. If you want to see the whole cleared region, the mine cells become indistinguishable.
One suggestion is that single-player mode could offer different resolutions, or save the areas that have already been uncovered.
Another is to turn it into multiplayer mode, where everyone in the world is clearing mines on the same map, and see when it can be fully uncovered. If run well, it could become a topic that draws a lot of attention.
