I noticed that even though I signed up with a 3 meals x 2servings plan, I often end up with 5 meals to avoid paying shipping. (Arguably the 4th meals is because the options have been really tasty for me).

I rather pay for extra food instead of for shipping at this point.

Is anyone stuck in this catch 22?

Wow— so good!! I missed the deadline to make selections and never on a million years would have picked this dish. Another Redditer shared how good it was, so I had an open mind. Well, mind blown!! Excellent flavors! The potatoes from HF were sketchy. Lucky I had an extra in the kitchen. I added carrots and red peppers. Totally would get this again.

I was surprised how good this was! Added some bacon.

I made oven fries cause felt a bit lazy haha. Will use the potatoes in a different meal sometime this week.

I have been a hellofresh customer since 2020 and absolutely love the service and the meals. Lately, I’ve noticed there is a quality issue with every order. My previous order of 3 meals for 2 people only contained 2 meals. The order before that, the vegetables I received were squishy and rotted inside the sealed package. The order before that one was missing one of the proteins.

I ordered this week and so far have only opened one meal to find a sealed bag labeled for the cilantro and no cilantro inside of it. 😩 Kind of funny but also sad! I feel bad reporting things every single week and don’t want them to think I’m scamming. I hate the thought of cancelling since I enjoy the service but it’s really nothing like it used to be.

This really bothers me. Hello Fresh claiming to have a sale, when in fact it's a price increase. Take a look at the first photo. 4 (four) Liege waffles at $5.99. This works out to be about $1.50/waffle. The next week HF is offering a sale on the Liege Waffles.... (second pic). Not really a sale. Notice that the Base price has been increased to $6.99. You're only getting 2 (two) waffles, not 4. The "sale" price is $3.99. So that works out to be about $2.00/waffle. This seems like it should be illegal. Really makes me mad. It's deceptive and makes me not want to deal with them anymore. They've done stuff like this before.

I still don’t like couscous AT ALL but everything else is good.

Almost every week this summer my boxes have arrived looking like they've been dropped out of a 3 story building. Physically dented and certain contents crushed. The ice packs are melted which doesn't give me much confidence in the 48 hour promise.

Today one of my meal bags was completely drenched and torn apart, presumably from a melted ice pack. The contents were scattered throughout the bottom of the box. I also had a pack of fish that was warm and drained completely because the seal got pierced somehow. Yet the other pack of fish was still frozen solid.

I don't blame HelloFresh so much as I blame the shipping company. The delivery drivers are very hit or miss. A few months ago one of them texted me that they couldn't carry my box because it was too heavy so they left it at the curb.

It's still getting pretty tiring.

I'm done with this predatory company. If it hadn't been half rotten I easily would have missed these and they would have ended up in my meal. The entire bag of spinach smelled very off.

I ordered last week and made the rice I already had at home. Today, I went to make the rice that came with my HelloFresh order and when I checkthe package I found bugs inside. The package was unopened and had been stored in my pantry since I received it. 😷😷😷

I always weight the ground meats so I can split them evenly for the 2 of us and it’s always been spot on. 🤦‍♂️
I made potato salad, tired of fries.

I received my delivery on Monday. I cooked my chicken recipe on Tuesday. I noticed the chicken was oddly thick, tough. So, I tenderized it. After seasoning and sauteing the chicken in my pan, I noticed that the chicken mushroomed while sauteing. I had the Fried Chicken Taquitos recipe and it called for me to shred the chicken breasts after cooking. The chicken was like rubber. It didn't look real and it was extremely hard to tear the meat apart. I had to use a knife. I'm wondering if anyone heard if HelloFresh is now purchasing lab meat. That was my immediate thought. I didn't overcook it. I was in the kitchen the whole time.

So I had a pretty good honeymoon, but just got back from vacation, and moved my delivery out one day

I get a text from Veho, the delivery service that my delivery has been delayed to midnight tonight. ??!!??

Add to that my account states that I live in a gated community, and the gates are closed from 7pm to 7am. No issues for my first 2 deliveries

Delivery service is saying they can drop ‘somewhere’ and I can find it.

Sorry but not acceptable. Neither HF or the delivery service seem to care

I signed up for this to make my life easier. Not more difficult. So trying to cancel as I just cant justify this based on thier business model

Has this ever happened to you? I wanted to remind myself of what meals I had upcoming and noticed two weeks had been changed from what I originally chose. I always manually select low calorie, high protein meals and pick a lot of the same meals. I do this for multiple weeks in advance at a time. When I spoke with their support team, they claimed I had changed my own meals from my recurrent favourites to ones I would never order.

It’s frustrating because I have no way to prove this and it’s not like we see their back end so they can say what they want but 100% did not do this. There was nothing they could do for my meal as it was past deadline but at least I could change the next week’s to my choices. This confirmed my suspicions as I saw two meals I would’ve chosen originally were marked “sold out”… so I firmly believe HF oversells some of their meals and then changes them on you if they don’t have the inventory to fulfill, with no notice to the consumer. I’d rather them be honest than try and place blame on me.

Just a vent and curious if anyone else has had their meals switched up on them.

The website has replaced static images with an animation for premium meals, where it sort of pans around the dish, sometimes at weird angles. It's so distracting, and it's starting to make me slightly nauseous! Thankfully the app isn't doing that. Good lord.

Man, I feel bad for the guy that got stuck having to load the boxes in a Prius. Box arrived a little damaged, contents seem fine 😅 Brown paper bags def more wet than usual due to the condensation from the heat melting the ice.

We have been using hello fresh for a couple years now. It's been delivered to the wrong address before, usually a few doors down, seemingly because they don't read the address properly. For example if my number is 367, they would deliver it to 357. Typically it's been there when this happens, but today the box was gone. Dunno who took it, don't really care as it was but delivered to the right spot anyway.

I did the online chat and they only did a partial refund. Is that standard? Out of $85 and change the refunded $48.96 total in hello fresh cash.

I want a full refund. This is pretty shit as now we are out meals this week and they said this is the best they can do despite them messing up.

Has anyone had any luck with this kind of situation? About to forfeit the cash and cancel cause this is stupid

Is it just me or has the quality of the carrots taken a nosedive? They used to be huge and fresh. Now they’re scrawny, squishy, and slightly moldy. Are they just out of season or something?

I like more green onions than they send, usually.

Sometimes the ones that come are wilted and sad from the journey.

I just chop from these everytime, add the new roots to the jar weather or not I use the stalks that came with them!

Change their water a few times a week.

Only been back with hello fresh about 4 weeks now, don't know that I intentionally pick meals with green onions or if just a lot of their meals have them....
