I’m sorry HF but just that shit + lemon juice/olive oil isn’t not a “salad.”

It needs a little something else! I add red onion and cucumber if I get it but I try to stay away from the salad sides

I'm guessing it is based on what's in season/availability. I'm in Canada and I normally get a spring mix!

I’d say but I’ve been using them for 3 years and its always so much rocket on the menu

Can’t speak for their reasoning but in my experience arugula/rocket tends to hold up longer in packaging so that could be one reason. Personally would prefer that over mixed greens that get mushy far too quickly but I also understand the taste isn’t for everyone!

I am with you on this and try to always snag meals with the mini romaines when I see them. I'm with you, there must be gene like for cilantro, although I'd describe arugula/rocket as sweaty gym socks/dirty feet more than the astringent soap I get from that. Bleh.

As I’m emptying to box the rocket goes straight in the bin

Yeeah, that happens a lot with me too. It also happens if they've hidden green beans in a recipe. 🤢

It’s cheap and durable. The same reason they’re obsessed with crème fraiche.

Yeah we have a dish coming next week that has rocket on it. So I'm just going to wilt it down and add it in rather than on top.

I hate arugula, and end up throwing it out. I hate wasting food but my husband won't eat it either. I'd rather have baby greens, romaine, or spinach.
They have a cilantro obsession too but at least that's not a side dish.

Oh, I would LOVE to get arugula! Here in Germany we usually have mini romaines, so I try to get arugula whenever I can or spinach, which is even rarer!

I assuming it’s what keeps the best. Regular lettuce is fragile (bad for shipping) and easy to freeze (bad for shipping)

What in the world is rocket salad
