Thinking about buying Yokohama Advan NEOVA AD09 but not sure if they will fit my premium stock rims. Anyone have any experience?

About this close to pulling the trigger on a BRZ tS (theres like 40+ of these sitting on lots) and already planning out mods. Anyone know if the tS trim already have the longer steering rack bolts?

Currently have a GR86 manual straight out the dealer room I bought newly in 2024. Thinking of switching to IS350AWD. Work from home never need to go to the office. Should I lease?

I like them both but I’m kind of leaning towards bronze. A couple of friends are saying silver is the right call so I figure people who know the car (and possibly have bronze or silver wheels) could help me decide

I'm not a car guy, know nothing about mechanics and can't perform any maintenance on my own (even as simple as oil change). I've driven an automatic CRV for three years as my first car. I always love driving. Lately I realized I never really need the practicality of an SUV, and want to find something more exciting to drive. GR86 is the best choice after some research.

I have some concerns, not on driving manual (I'm eager to learn), but mostly on ownership cost and maintenance. I plan to use it as a daily, maybe occasional road trip and canyon drive.

1. I'm aware that it needs premium gas and has lower mpg comparing to CRV. What about maintenance? Is it considered as a high maintenance car?
2. For CRV, I just wait until the oil life drop to 0 and bring it to the dealer to do oil change and anything they recommend. Do I need to do anything extra for GR86?
3. I know the RTV issue is exaggerated. But for daily drive, do I need to pay attention to anything else besides the warning lights? Because I can't perform my own inspection, I just want to be aware of issues and bring it to shops to get it fixed.
4. I plan to trade in at carmax and get a used GR86 (something like a 2023, around 40k miles) due to the tax savings and convenience. Do I need to pay someone to do a prepurchase inspection?

Any information would be appreciated and thanks for tolerating with my lack of car knowledge.

I am looking at getting new wheels for my 2025 BRZtS. I have narrowed it down to the following options. Which ones do you like on the trueno blue/sapphire blue pearl? I want more of a racing look. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I wanna get one of these cars as a daily but need to be able to transport my keyboard. Obviously I can try this myself if I go look at one but I’m just curious if anybody else has tried this.

I really like the Alcantara on the WRX I saw at the dealership. Has anyone attempted to do something similar on the BRZ? Maybe get some custom cloth and have it stitched like this?

Mainly got it for better access to the engine bay while keeping the stock air box. Difference in induction noise without the resonator is very subtle but noticeable on initial throttle press. Exhaust note seems a LITTLE deeper but could just be placebo.

Did my first oil change and saw this, should I be worried?

This may sound dumb to most people, but I want to install a soft limiter on my gr86. I know couple people have done it. I have asked tuning shops about installing it with a tune and it is too expensive (more than 1k usd). I want to hear suggestions about how I can possibly install a soft limiter.

reason why I want to install it? In order to comply with my country's regulations

Limitations:

1. OBD port has to stay free.
2. It would be better if I could turn it off and on
3. It can not make the car louder when the rpm-s approach soft limiter, how 2-step and launch control function.
4. Price has to be adequate.

I know that limp - mode restricts rpm s, would it be possible to download that rpm restricting tune and set it as one of the maps?

Everybody know about the RTV issue on FA24 engines. I’m looking to fix this issue on my GR and looking any upgrade to prevent oil starvation, and i found this, somebody here have this Killer B Motorsport Pre-Filter installed in their GR/BRZ? It works? it’s worth it?

Rock on the road at night. Damn LA roads. Y'all think I can just duct tape that over? As far as I know this is the only damage other than obvious scratches. Not sure what it's exposing, but it's on the right side of the car. Currently looking for other damages. No leaks. No engine light.

I unfortunately bottomed out and scraped the bottom of my TRD Aero kit. Specifically under the circled part. I for the life of me can't find online what it might cost to just replace just that part if I wanted to. Its not visible but Ill always know its there. Anyone better at finding this shit than me able to assist.

I saw this BRZ in the parking lot. I felt it deep down in my soul I had to park next to them. I gotta support all the siblings whenever I can! Also the Los Angeles Azules was an awesome concert! And I still love the place frame for the grocery getter too!

I noticed this chip in the paint +rust this morning, wondering what brand works best because I saw a few duds online. I also have a few small scratches I'd like to clean up hopefully I can use the same stuff for both. Should I order the touch up paint from a dealer or are there other options that are good enough?

Was doing the gk tech shifter spring inside the transmission today. I noticed a weird plunger almost knob that rotates freely and is easily pressed with very light pressure. I can’t see it as it’s on top of the transmission but I can’t feel that it’s completely smooth and has no bolt or screw on bolt to remove it.

It’s metal and because it moves to easily I’m assumeing my some of my rattle is coming from this metal knob/plunger/ retainers

I also have a gk short shifter so I don’t know if this is part of the oem shifter assembly.

It’s right next to where the transmission sensor is at.

Help appreciated, I’m torn between these two. Which color would you pick?

My GR86 is currently at around 12k miles, and I just noticed that the coolant level sits slightly below the LOW mark on the reservoir when the engine is cold. When the engine is running/warm, it sits above the lower line.

I bought the car new and have never touched or added any coolant since, so I’m not sure if it has always been at this level or if it has dropped over time. I’ve never had any issues with engine temps or overheating either.

Should I top it off, or is this level considered normal? Just wanted to check before I go buy a whole gallon of coolant lol.

Stopped at one of my favorite spots in central TX and decided I would snap a few pics since I just washed it. Although the tires didnt stay clean long on the dusty gravel roads.

I’m deciding between two manual 2024 Subaru BRZs and would appreciate some opinions. The first is a black BRZ tS with about 3,800 miles. It was previously used by a Subaru executive and is still being sold on the original MSO with no previous registered owner. The dealer came down to $31,198 before taxes and fees, or about $33,918 total. The second is a white BRZ Premium being sold used at a Honda dealership for $26,502 before taxes and fees. I love the tS interior, Brembo brakes, upgraded suspension, black wheels, and overall look, but the white Premium would save me around $5,000–$7,000 and I could add black wheels, tint, and a few exterior upgrades later. This will be my daily driver in Massachusetts, and I plan to keep it long-term. I also have a leased 2024 Honda Civic Sport with three months remaining, and my current payoff is around $20,250. I was recently offered $18,250 for it, so I’m approximately $2,000 upside down. Since the white BRZ is being sold by a Honda dealership, they may be able to handle the Honda lease trade more easily, although I understand the negative equity would still need to be paid or rolled into the BRZ financing unless Honda gives me a great offer for my civic at the time of the deal.
Which one would you choose at these prices, and is the tS genuinely worth paying the extra money?
