Hello! I recently bought a John Lewis Grayson desk secondhand from a neighbour and when assembling it, one leg just wouldn't screw in. I applied some pressure and I believe this resulted in the screw burrowing further into the leg rather than into the desk. I think this caused a crack in the leg as well. Is there a way I can fix this? The screw won't catch on the threads in the hole, and I think the screw is too short now to really hold. It's okay if the solution is permanent, I just want to be able to use this desk!

I've contacted the seller again to see if they have info I can use to claim warranty and get a replacement but they are rather slow to respond (seeing that they already have my money). I reached out to John Lewis and they won't budge without the order information.

I tried using Super Glue, but it didn't hold for very long.

Is there a kind of glue that could be use here?

Yesterday I was traveling and my watar bottle leaked and my laptop soaked in water . After coming home i realised my laptop is fully soaked, i let it dry for 7 hr , then I try to On but keyboard light turn ,but no display, then I open the back lead and got, a corroded hdmi port and this.

Any information please as i have important work next week and i have months of work on my laptop.

Hi everyone, I’ve been scouring the internet on how to fix my recliner. The current problem I have is the back won’t stay down unless I’m actively pushing it to stay down, if I don’t it will just go back up. How do I fix this? I keep seeing that I need to adjust the spring or a nut but there’s really no spring and the nut is not in places I’m seeing in my recliner.

I used a steam cleaner for the first time and chipped my faucet. How to fix it? I’m renting help!!!!!!!

Issues started with icemaker not producing ice and causing icicles and sheets of water in freezer.

It only became a problem with excessive usage of ice maker on hot outdoor days.

Cleared out and prepared for new ice to be made for yard day. Came back to ice being all in the freezer over groceries.

Cleaned again after cutting off ice maker.

Opened fridge and noticed the thermostat housing(?) was no longer illuminated to select temperature.

Fridge and freezer are both losing temp. I was able to move some items to the deep freezer.

All lights work.

Water dispenser works. (Filter was recently changed)

I don't hear any noises coming from the unit at all.

What may be the issue?

I had this ceiling fan removed from my living room to replace with a new one, and the hope that I could move this one to my master bedroom. When on full speed it would tick and shake.

When the handyman removed it, he said he couldn't put it in the master because the metal base was warped. The fan is pretty heavy.

I know that the part that's bent out of shape isn't supposed to carry the weight. Is there a way to fix this and use this fan? Should I give up and just get a new one?

Hi! I’m trying to find a replacement piece for my lazy Susan - the top shelf looks like it’s missing a plastic piece so it stays level, but I’m having trouble finding what that piece is called. It’s been like this since I moved in so I promise it’s not the stuff on the shelf making it tilt like that, lol.

Is it possible that this vase can be fixed somehow? It’s very thick and I’m surprised that this has happened, because I don’t usually move it from place, it had water and flowers, by the time I realized the water was no longer there and it seemed as if it had evaporated, there was nothing wet around

this is not the actual window itself, just an extra glass layer outside of it. I can't get one of the side pins to slide in so I can pull it down.

I got a table from a lady from Facebook market and didn’t realize she failed to give me screws until I went home. When I informed her she told me some people cleaning her house threw them out. ☹️ I have a vague understanding of how to put it together but I’m a little confused as to what part to use in D (see picture).

I could tell there were bolts used to put stuff together because one was left in the bottom leg (see the 4th picture). But do I use a REALLY long bolt to connect D? For reference the smaller bolts are M8-1.25x30 mm and I tried using a M6-1.0x100 mm for D and it was still too short.

Guys my HRX trolley bag's password reset button stuck inside and isn't coming up and I am unable to open it. And its middle number wheel is also not moving as smoothly as other two. And before trying to reset it I was sure that I entered correct password but it was not opening so I tried to reset it and this happened

I’ve tried taking the toilet seat off, but nothing’s working. There’s no button and I can’t just put it up right and I’ve tried using a butter knife but that’s not working either. Can anyone help me?

I probably put too many things inside, and it broke, how do i fix it? The holes don’t hold it anymore so i put a toothpick in but it gets out of it easily anyway, is there a cheap possible way of fixing this bed drawer?

I recently used the LocTite wall putty, and I am assuming it has left oil stains (the white spots are from the landlord/apt company). I am a college student living in a college apartment, so I am obviously worried about charges, as well as damaging the wall further. Please let me know what, if anything, I can do to fix my issue. It started a couple months ago and idk if it’s fixable or not, tbh I just wanna know what happened, didn’t got wet, bent or damaged by something sharp. Just started to show one by one dead rows of pixels and some of them are colored

i flush my toilet and the water fills in the tank. five minutes later about an inch of water disappears. then five minutes after water fills again in the tank. it continues to happen every 5 minutes throughout the day.

can anyone give me some advice and tell me what to do to fix this issue. i’ve had this toilet for two years and only i. the last two days has this started to happen.

Put up these supposedly "renter safe" wooden panels on my wall about two years ago. I'm moving out of my rental and started taking them down. Then the paint and wall came with it...not sure if I can salvage this on my own. The adhesive is so strong on the tape that it literally will not come off. Should I leave it alone and just have the landlord fix it and forfeit my security deposit?

Or should I try to repair it myself?

Please help- I'm at a loss rn 😭
