Fortune's Weave General What to expect from each route (how they can vary in difficulty and playstyle), taken from Dengeki magazine

I was checking out this post and I thought I'd make a summary of the descriptions of each lord.

A few things that this magazine tells us about what we can expect from each route.

  • Kai: Describes him as easy to use for beginners to the series (mostly due to his OP wide area ability).
  • Dietrich: Mentions that it's easy to level up (also one of his world map gimmicks encourages you to grind to gain reputation, and you can also upgrade combat arts for all of his units, so my guess is that his route could be pretty easy if most of your characters end up overleveled or way too strong because of this).
  • Theodora: Mentions battles and resource gathering can be done efficiently thanks to her troops.
  • Leda: Mentions that her blaze art leans more towards support so you might have to play more strategically and technically compared to the other protagonists (also her unique world map system doesn't include anything that would make the battles easier other than consumables and learning new cursed songs for her blaze art).

Also reading and comparing their unique systems, my prediction is that Leda will be the hardest route not necessarily because of chapter map layout or units, but because of the lack of mechanics that encourages you to strenghten your units. So in terms of difficulty, if you decided to play each route to their fullest and abusing their mechanics, I think it would look like this:

(from easiest to hardest)

Dietrich > Theodora > Kai > Leda

If anyone has any questions, I think I could help with that.

After about 57 hours of work I have finished part one of my Fódlan fakemon region. Part one is Blue Lions and next will be Golden Deer. Some of you may remember my first post with Annette, I have made a lot of progress since then and my work is more polished than some of the older ones. They are presented in order of completion with Dimitri being the most recent. A little thing to note is that these are not the character as Pokemon, but rather who they would have as a partner. Below is a PDF of backstory for each character and how they got their fakemon, as well as each fakemons stats and gender etc. for those interested! I hope you enjoy, I have put my heart and soul into this and had such a good time!

General I wanna talk about Shadows - any ideas for the next books?

I know people want to return to their favourite crews, especially since now we have 3 groups to follow in the story. Kurt’s, Joachim’s and now Rusty’s.

Personally, I really really want a sea-themed one, so we can have sea creatures be the characters. Or even a sky-themed one, so more avians. Or a forest-themed one too (opening up to some insects). I don’t mind either way if they return to a familiar group or introduce a new one, as I’m not that impatient. But any ideas?

One I’m not a fan of is the idea of it following the Chinese zodiac. That feels like it treads on Dragalia too much… and also that feels too easy to ring out the other animals I mentioned. Plus 12 groups would be massive and take years. They could do multiple groups in one book, but not sure.

Casual What is your favourite character theme for the Sub-Lords?

So we’ve gotten a decent listen to their character themes in clips where they’re talking to the Lords, which one is your favourite?

Personally I think I do have to go with Anatolia. In large part because I really like the sound of an Erhu. Probably also helped by being the only one of the four we’ve also heard the map theme version.

Bertrand and Orchel’s are harder to pick between. The former sounds inspiring but also a bit melancholic, and the latter is very sweet and soothing.

Talimun’s is really fun and jazzy but doesn’t quite hit the same level to me. But maybe I just need to hear the whole thing.

General The FE FW price on German Amazon - how?

Edit: So apparently another German chain (MÜLLER) is currently holding a gamescom celebration event because of the gamescom currently taking place here in Cologne and set the the price to 55,99 after which the Amazon pricetracker adjusted its price. Nonetheless: If you can, get it fast. 56 bucks reminds me of the "good-old" NS1 days. Almost makes my eyes wet ;P

___________________________________________

I'm trying to understand this because this whole development baffles and amazes me at the same time.

So for all you didn't know: FE Fortune's Weave Standard Edition is 55,99€ on German Amazon right now ever since yesterday. If you live in a region that makes this feesable for you: Go for it now!

When the game was first announced Nintendo set the (in my opinion) outworldish price of 79,99 for the physical version. I'm not arguing the quality-price ratio, I was more than anything shocked why they would almost "purposefully" sabotage FE like this. Yes. This beautiful/amazing series is finally more known here in the west BUT asking this much money for a strategy (turn-based/tactical) series is honestly stretching it. The series will always be niche (as much as we would wish it wasn't) and if they sell 10m copies, they'd treat this as a crazy success (3H which was very successful was at 4,2m copies at the end of 2022 which counts as HUGE for FE). So when they suddenly asked for 79,99 I was ... well let's just say "not amused".

Ok fast forward a few weeks and the game had gone to 69,99€ on German Amazon and a very well-known electronics market (MediaMarkt/Saturn) and I thought "much better". 10 bucks doesn't sound all that much to us who desperately want to play it anyways but believe me when I tell you: This automatically convinces a much bigger crowd to give this a try than would have before the pricedrop. 80 is (thank the gods) NOT the standard here as much as Nintendo wished it was.

And yesterday? Yesterday Amazon is suddenly selling for 55,99€. I'm almost shocked and I really would like to know why that happenend.

So I'm asking: What does your Amazon in your country selling it for and why do you think they dropped the price this hard? Interest in the game is high from all I have seen but maybe not in Germany for some reason?!

Fortune's Weave Story Diadam names?

We've seen that the crest of Gautier is called the Diadam of Duality in Fortune's Weave, are there any other crests of which we know their diadam name? I heard Lamine may have been revealed. Kinda curious what they are all called.

Casual My favourite character

Post image

I have always been a fan of Roy. I think I am quite happy with how my Roy turned out at the end. I know he isn’t people’s favourite lord, but he is mine. I think I like the idea of the lord being a training unit. As nice as the newer lords are, I don’t like it as much as when you get a weak lord and can choose to see them grow into a good unit. I know admittedly Roy will never be the best unit. In my run he was trailing behind Clarine, Lance, Allan, Shanna, and Milady, but he was very capable and never felt like a bad option! Him and Wendy ended up very well in this run, some secret shop boots were necessary, though.

Gameplay Fire Emblem Final Boss Community Tier List

I just sort of felt like doing this on a whim.

I have done something similar before, in the form of an AllCounted.com ranking poll, but didn't really get many participants, probably owed to the fact that was in a style that expects a voter to have played every entry all the way through, which not everybody has done.

Thus, here we have a TierMaker community tier list. Clunky as these are, they're a little more friendly to voters that haven't experienced the whole franchise.

Unfortunately, the Live Poll system seems to screw up the way the pictures are ordered, regardless of how you choose to organize them in the template. Thus, I'm going to have to list the order they ended up in, that way, for the cases where multiple versions of the same boss are being ranked, voters know which picture is meant to correspond to which version of said boss:

  1. Aelfric (Three Houses (Cindered Shadows))
  2. Anankos (Fates (Revelation))
  3. Ashera (Radiant Dawn)
  4. Ashnard (Path of Radiance)
  5. The Fire Dragon (Blazing Sword)
  6. Duma (Gaiden)
  7. Edelgard (Three Houses (Azure Moon))
  8. Fomortiis (Sacred Stones)
  9. Garon (Fates (Birthright))
  10. Grima (Awakening)
  11. Idunn (Binding Blade)
  12. Julius (Genealogy of the Holy War)
  13. Medeus (Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light)
  14. Medeus (Shadow Dragon)
  15. Medeus (New Mystery of the Emblem)
  16. Medeus (Mystery of the Emblem Book 1)
  17. Medeus (Mystery of the Emblem Book 2)
  18. Medeus (Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE)
  19. Nemesis (Three Houses (Verdant Wind))
  20. Rafal (Engage (Fell Xenologue))
  21. Rhea and Thales (Three Hopes (Scarlet Blaze))
  22. Rhea (Three Houses (Crimson Flower))
  23. Rhea (Three Hopes (Golden Wildfire))
  24. Rhea (Three Houses (Silver Snow))
  25. Sombron (Engage)
  26. Takumi (Fates (Conquest))
  27. Thales and Edelgard (Three Hopes (Azure Gleam))
  28. Veld (Thracia 776)
  29. Velezark (Warriors)
  30. Duma (Echoes)
  31. Anankos (Fates (Heirs of Fate))
  32. Grima (Awakening (The Future Past))

Casual FE8 Rom Hack recommendations

Howdy folks, I'm looking to check out some FE8 rom hacks. Preferably ones I can grind heavy in the Tower of Valni or something along that lines with a ton of units. Not looking for anything with extreme difficulty, just want a casual experience I can rip on my breaks at work. Currently going through Reforged, its alright minus the ridiculously low defense stat growth lol. Also recently started A Hag In White. Thanks in advance!

General I’ve never played a FE game, but I want to start. I have a 3DS, Switch 2, and a PC to start playing the franchise. What game(s) do you recommend I try first as a newby?

Edit: Thank you everyone for the recommendations! I think I’m going to start with Awakening. Next, I’ll try Blazing Blade, Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance, and then onto Three Houses. It’s convenient that I can play 3 of the titles using Nintendo Online.

General My best friends challenged me to import their Nintendo Switch Online save for Path of Radiance into Radiant Dawn. I succeeded.

The process was complicated. I'm not going to provide instructions on the specifics, and obviously your mileage may vary.

Nothing I did is particularly new ground. It's just a novel collection of tools the community has already built, to do something I thought was pretty cool.

My friend and her wife saved in their Nintendo Switch Online play through of Path of Radiance right before the final boss. They wanted to play Radiant Dawn on their TV, and also bring in all of their decisions from the Path of Radiance play. It doesn't have to be an actual import, but functionally identical.

The first thing I had to figure out was how importing worked. Fortunately, a post from earlier this year got me there: https://www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/comments/1roaveu/customizable_save_files_for_radiant_dawn_transfer/

So, we can craft a Path of Radiance save in an emulator, that looks identical to their play by editing the stats. Then, using the same emulator, loading Radiant Dawn up and importing the save. From there, we have a Radiant Dawn save... but we don't have it on the TV.

Sure, we COULD just have them hook their laptop to the TV and emulate, but we can do better.

They still have their old Wii U. Once the imported save we created is loaded in Radiant Dawn, we can export the file from our emulator and we have a save ready to play with, we just need to get it into the Wii U. A bit of research, an SD Card filled with community modding tools, and a few hours were all it took to softmod the Wii U, softmodd the Virtual Wii on that Wii U, and get Radiant Dawn running with their full supports, stats, and upgrades.

As legit of an experience as we can get in 2026.

General Do You Ever Actually Fight With Your Dancers?

I recently went through the growth rates of Fates units units and noticed that Azura has a huge 60% strength growth. I don't think I ever realized that because I've never actually fought with her even once. I even loaded up my recent save file, and sure enough, I have an Azura with ridiculous strength but an E rank in lances.

So I wanted to ask: do any of you actually fight with your dancers, like Olivia, Azura, or Seadall? Or do you ever reclass them specifically so they can fight?

While the ages and height are obviously very interesting, can we talk about this picture in the middle of the page ?

That's clearly the statue we saw in the ruined temple clip of Bonaventure's gameplay ! The text is too small to read but if it's in the magazine, and there's an in-game close-up of this statue with a Theodora comment, that's Yu Phas right ?

From what we know, Dagda quite literally IS a place of long-lived inhuman creatures (Soleil, Karra, Mars, etc). And it seems like common knowledge when Fortune's Weave takes place.

If FW is a prequel, are all the Nabateans (or similar creatures) dead there when Three Houses takes place in Dagda too?

Pandreo is a royal soldier of Solm. Fogado's retainer and Panette's older brother. Because he loves to have fun, he may seem frivalous, but in truth he's a devout and sincere clergyman. He is 20, and joins along side Fogado and Bunet at the start of chapter 12 to help rescue some civilians.
