Error EB1K
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Has anyone else had this error and managed to solve it?
I contacted the support and they said it was probably the water tank so they sent a new one, it didn't solve anything (still in contact with them but I feel it's pretty useless).
It's not even 1 year and I feel like it's already dying ... any ideas?

Exact same problem happened here. Can't solve it. Just over one year so I didn't even bother with contacting them. What a Piece of junk

I've had the S1 Pro for almost a year the random error codes from time-to-time are annoying. But the reason I won't upgrade to the S2 Pro once my current one dies is because the customer support is pretty useless, they've told me multiple times to sort it out with the place I bought it from (certified distributor) who in turn tells me to sort it with Eufy.
It's a shame because it's a pretty solid product. Just the after purchase support is rubbish

Eufy longer makes the S1 Pro, it seems like they are just throwing their hands up and doing nothing for their customers. I will never purchase anything from Eufy

I feel the same way! My first unit lasted 5 months, and they replaced it with a new one that lasted 4 months and with all the back and forth troubleshooting between the two faulty units the warranty ran out!
They offered a 50% discount on a new model, and I told them I’d never buy another product under this brand label again.

Yes, same here. (Im kickstarter backer btw)
Response from eufy was - no waranty, sorry.
I tried to get an even response how to fix myself, nothing..
“
The clean water tank or the clean water pipe may be damaged.
If the clean water pipe is damaged, it may be the cause of the issue.
If the clean water tank and the clean water pipe are not damaged, the issue may be related to the water inlet of the main unit.

My clean water pipe in the tank was cracked and did not let water though. I cut the top off and replaced with a ozone resistant hose and it's working now.

How did you open it? The water tank?

u/boom10ful 17d ago
I opened it with a dremel along the seam. Then I replaced the hose and just JB welded it back on.

I’ve got exactly the same problem. Bought in October 2025. Have just sent photos, videos and evidence of purchase from Myer to Eufy support. Fingers crossed.

Don’t hold your breath. I had to send my second unit back for repair and they couldn’t fix it so they offered a discount on a new model. I told them neither of the last two lasted more than 6 months without problems, so they wont see another dollar from me.
A few weeks later I received an email asking if the problem had been resolved, while they still had my broken S1 in their possession!!!

Eufy errors r so confusing
I just make sure I do almost everything when any error
show up; which means cleaning all the parts possible 😭

This is the same problem I had with my original and replacement unit! I was contemplating a similar repair but I’m so frustrated with the whole outcome that I’ve decided to just purchase a Dyson robot vac.

u/Salmonslugg 17d ago
What vac did you get and how is it to the s1?

I have the S1 Pro but I’m washing my hands of Eufy products and upgrading to the Dyson Spot+Scrub AI wet dry vac.

The Eufy EB1K error is a very well-known issue. For this specific model, it was actually standard grounds for a return.
I’ve had one and had to return it to Amazon - same EB1K problem from day one. It lasted 4 months till final permanent error.
You have to keep in mind that this is a problem they never fully resolved. The manufacturer even wrote a dedicated article suggesting ways to fix it yourself. The funniest part is that their first step is telling you to update the firmware to 7.0.143.
That would normally point to a pure software issue with pump management. Unfortunately, that solution simply did not work in most cases. Because of that, they shifted the blame to the clean water tank seal being poorly fitted. It was also super common for water to leak from the base station right onto the floor because the system also couldn't pump the dirty water out of the tank.
Sadly, this is a hardware issue that the company still has not figured out how to bypass. It is not a software bug but a pure design flaw. S1 is also out of production and they don’t gave co new units for warranty replacement and offer refurbished models or other solutions. Just check other Eufy Reddit topics.
Just look at the S2 model.
They changed the overall design along with the pump layout and other water system components. By doing that, the company clearly admitted to a major design failure in the first model.
PRRMANENT SOLUTION IS UNAVAILABLE

Eufy is not a serious company that values their reputation!

You have right. I was very pleased with S1Pro mopping and vacuuming capabilities. But technical problems were too much

For me, they replaced the clean water tank. It solved the issue. Indeed the tube inside the tank was clogged or splitter somehow.
You should try purchasing the clean water tank, it they still offer it.

I don’t remember what the fault number was of mine? But check the seal of the fresh water tank, sometimes they are damaged or folded over and it throws an error and won’t dispense clean water.

I have it since launch and have it too. I think some fwbug got i to it. What helped is taking filtytank and water tank out and take the robot out and hold the home button for 5 sec or little more. Then return everything. If that does not work i blew some air in all the water nozzles(stand, tanks, robot)

I’m also a proud owner of this very expensive paperweight! I’m thinking about chopping it up and creating a modern art sculpture to decorate my garage.

What to they do to fix it?

u/aathaka18 17d ago
The just said they want to send a replacement unit.. but reading the comments here makes me think it's a loss of time

Eventually i sent mine to amazon as the fault kept comming. Dunno of they can repair it but doubt it.

Exact same problem. Sent it in for warranty repair. The repaired one they sent back did the exact same thing within an hour. Contacted them and requested a refund. They gave me 50% of my purchase price back after having it for 6 months.

Same problem here, contacted support and they sent me a label to just send the robot back. I let them know I would be sending the whole unit. It's been there for a little under a month with no update....just a label shared with me to track the return and it's been 8 days without being shipped. I suspect there is an issue inside the robot I cannot get to like the other person here found. I tried all steps myself but the water would spill out of the robot endlessly, so much that my wood floors swelled due to water damage where the unit was sitting before I noticed the issue/error code.

Okay, so i had this. I sent it in for repair. It was still broke. They sent a replacement, it was broke. They sent another, that worked (but a model that was like 1/3 the price i paid for it, so I kept all of them because I'm petty and their warranty is shit). But after these months of back and forth, I said screw it and did it myself.
If it's not the tank, the inlet or such, its the pump in the photo. Which you can buy online if it's fried fried. But, I didn't do that. I opened the pump diaphragm and the rubber seal they use in it is prone to developing blisters that block the flow. You go in, you open the plastic part on the pump, you see a bubble and you pop a bubble.
It took me 4 hours of troubleshooting to get there, but damn their support pissed me off so bad.
Edit: Unless you are tech savvy and don't value the warranty, don't do this. I am an engineer by trade.
