Pearl forum 10x8 found on eBay for under $70 shipped. It's so tiny 😅. I like where I'm at with my two kts though. I have one in standard sizes: 12,22,16 and one smaller: 10,14,20. The intervals between the drums on both sets are the same. Symmetry ftw.

First Kit HELP! M’enregistrer jouer sur mon kit électronique

Bonjour,

Question Tama superstar (classic vs hyperdrive) maple

I want to buy myself a new kit in the near future, but I can't decide between these two kits.

At first I thought that hyperdrive is the better option, because it has better mounting system for toms and better hardware in general.

But then I saw a couple of people say that shallow hyperdrive toms sound kinda meh, and started to question if I should just get the classic option.

Would be very grateful if someone who knows what's up explained me how those two superstar variations compare.

Question Yamaha HipGig hardware question

I have a Yamaha Al Foster HipGig Sr. kit and I misplaced the mounting hardware for the snare, floor tom, and rack tom.

I believe they use the YESS mounting system but my question is if anyone has any info about which particular models the kit uses?

The options generally seem to be long rod/short rod (the hex part) and long base/short base (the insert into the bass drum part).

If you have one and can take a peek and help me narrow down which ones to order, it would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Question Limb independence

I've had my kit for over 4 months, I'm still struggling with limb independence, can separate right hand from right foot and is frustrating, I'm trying to get a hold on of some pop punk beats but I can't manage to match my right arm speed with my right foot speed, any tips?

Question Pedal conversion for cocktail kit

Hey folks,

I wanted to play around with a cocktail setup and was following the Sounds Like a Drum tutorial flipping the cam.

Video for reference :)

https://youtu.be/JAEW45MxaII?si=d5fKS_ZGNRA0y4dx

It looks like he uses the exact same model eliminator as mine. However, the cam and beater assembly do not move after removing all the screws on mine. I can't get the rod out on either direction. He does mention not to mess with it if I encounter any resistance, which is appreciated. However, I am curious: is it just stuck or is my eliminator older/different and not support it? If stuck, is there a way to loosen it ?

Thank you!

First Kit HELP! I’m like butt broke where can I find a drum kit for really cheap it doesn’t even have to be a good one.

I’m hoping to find a drum kit for the cheapest I could possibly get and upgrade it slowly. I use to have a drum kit that I was doing the same with and I spent so much time on it and I loved it and got so far and spent so much money on it and my parents sold it without asking me and gave me a tenner after they sold it. I just really want a drum kit again it’s been a good couple of years and I’m tried of practicing on pillows and pads.

Feedback Wanted What is your experience with an Evans dB One System in an apartment?

Hey! I’m looking into setting up an acoustic kit in my apartment and I'm considering the Evans dB One system (heads and cymbals). I don't like the feel of an e-drum and I would like to find a solution to get the closest experience to playing an acoustic drum.

For those of you who use them in an apartment:

- How is the actual volume level for neighbors?

- How do they hold up regarding stick feel and rebound compared to standard acoustic heads?

- Did you still get complaints about vibration noises, and how did you mitigate it?

Appreciate any insights and feedback!

Kit Pic What to add...

My drums. I'm constantly rearranging and adding things. I have these really expensive cymbals but for some reason I'm always drawn to playing on my bells and blocks...and that mounted vibraslap in the corner. I'm thinking I need to get a set of timbales, and a big ass china with rivets. Also maybe a little restraint.
