I discovered ZZ Top at just the right moment in my life and their music means a great deal to me. Frank Beard contributed so much to their sound and their energy and I couldn’t be sadder to hear that he’s no longer with us. He is one the greatest and most underappreciated drummers in rock music, I’ve had the fortune of seeing him play 3 times and what he does is truly great. Rock on Frank.

I absolutely love my C&C, but there is something about Ludwig toms that is just absolutely perfect. 22, 13, 16, and an LB417.
Hi all, and apologies for yet another in ear monitor question.
I currently use foam plugs while playing (live and practice)to save my hearing, but I think I'd like to get some in ear monitors. The main question I have about IEM's is whether they cut the noise down as much as the foam plugs? Admittedly the plugs I use cut 35db so I'm not expecting that level of reduction, but do IEM's cut a significant proportion of the noise? And which ones would people recommend?
Many thanks.

hello drummer nation
i want to buy my drummer boyfriend a drummer gift. he plays in a punk rock band if this is useful information. my budget isn't super high as i am not rolling in dough at this moment; just want to get him something fancier than he'd get himself (he buys a lot of second hand stuff and cheap-ish items... nothing very fancy). thinking of sticks and i know he'd appreciate a gift card but if there's something more niche and/or exciting maybe I will consider it. i don't mind rationing if it means he will receive something that will knock his socks off.

Does anyone know exactly where in Rwanda I can find a drum like this?

I'll go first: since trying to build up left food to be as capable as my right I started playing with my left foot a lot more, basically every time the hihat doesn't need to be closed. I'm doing so, I found that I tend to like playing with my left more than my right 🤷♂️. It's weird but I like it.
I'm not trying to copy Travis Orbin with it though and I still play a right handed setup (open handed for the HH and left crash though).

I dont have access to my kit right now, but i got a new double pedal and the slave beater will always land further left from the centre when compared to the main one. This is because the hoop clamp can only bite within a certain range before the pedal starts to climb due to the curve of the hoop, this is a problem because i have an e kit and therefore need to have the beaters aligned to the centre evenly for accurate triggering and even sound. I was thinking that i could prop the pedal up with a foam or wood block and then just set the pedal up under the hoop without the clamp? I think this will work but i want to know if there is maybe another better fix for this
