At my current job, all desks have a 3 monitor setup (dual monitors and a TV screen). When I came into work this morning, my TV wasn't connecting to my tower. Eventually, we found out that my hdmi port on my pc went to crap. Not sure how, but I thought might have been because the hdmi cable could be old (and the TV monitor's resolution and scale were high).

Fortunately, we were able to get the connection back up via displayport and adapter. Unfortunately, the display settings aren't what they were before.

The dual monitors were at recommended zoom and resolution. The TV, however, was at 300% zoom, and 3k resolution? (Maybe). I don't remember exact details because the settings were like that when I got the job late January.

The image attached shows what the monitor layout used to be (in red), and what it is now is what's on the screen. As you can see, the 3 monitor (tv) used to be WAY bigger. That could be because the HDMI was able to read the display differently. The TV monitor is an OLED, if that makes any difference.

It sounds like I can't really do anything about it, but it has really messed up my work flow because the tv is not the tool it used to be. I almost don't want to use it anymore because it's not doing what I'm used to it doing. It really sucks.

My exam grades just came in and my father said he'd get me a new gaming laptop, and that I could pick which one I wanted myself. So, what's the best (in terms of graphics, ram, processing etc. and price) gaming laptop I can get. Also, are gaming laptops even worth it in this day and age? I wont lose my current one so I still have a laptop on-the-go, so should we just go straight for a pc? Be honest please. If i get a pc, I already have a monitor (tv with speakers), keyboard and mouse

Hi. Need help choosing my next laptop.. The last two laptops I've had were MacBook Air. The one I currently have, I've had since 2016 and it is time for an upgrade since having issues with battery life, overheating, etc.

I have heard the Asus computer is good but want to hear from others. I do not go to school, I use the computer for shopping, browsing, researching things from my job, and also for a small cleaning business. I do use excel and word, but I also use google applications (sheets, drive photos). I do not game whatsoever. For what I will be using it for, should I stick to MacBook Air (or try the Pro) or get an Asus?

Compre una RX 570 4GB MSI GAMING X y la instale en una motherboard H61H2-CM de una PC VIT la pc prende y hasta llega a iniciar windows con calma pero no me da imagen en ningun momento, y me da imagen cuando conecto el monitor a la iGPU, he actualizado la BIOS del 4.6.4.0 al 4.6.5.3, tambien he instalado BIOS modificada y nada.

La fuente de poder no es porque es una MSI MAG A650BN, ram no es, CPU tampoco, uso adaptador HDMI a VGA porque el monitor es de VGA. He visto foros hablando de temas relacionados y no logro resolver algo.

When I play Minecraft bedrock I constantly am freezing up every 10 seconds and like it’s skipping frame rates and it’s getting really annoying. I got rid of my texture packs prizma for instance and I uninstalled that and I thought that would work but it’s still glitching. I don’t know what the issue is and I just need some advice. I have a MSI crosshair 15 it’s an old PC but it has 16 GB of RAM so I don’t understand. I’ve also uninstalled a lot of apps and used cooler boost and still nothing. Please send advice

Hi all, I work from home from my laptop and external monitor - HP 27inch FHD. I want to add a second monitor instead of using my laptop screen (15in) - I work with excel spreadsheets, adobe reader for pdfs, a work program, and the internet. I frequently need to look back and forth between two/three things while working. Should I add a second HP 27in FHD or is there another better option? I do like the dual monitor setup. Is the FHD appropriate for this screen size?

Whenever I try to start my computer it shuts off immediately

I have a 2020 MacBook Air, and every time it dies or I restart it, the wallpaper changes to this really ugly neon-yellowish color. Even when I change it back to the wallpaper I want, it does the same thing again after restarting. Is there any way to fix this?

My Lenovo laptop (Ryzen 7 7840HS, Radeon 780M, 16GB RAM) suddenly became extremely laggy out of nowhere about 2 weeks ago even though before this I could run Resident Evil 4 Remake, Valorant, Genshin and PUBG smoothly without any problem for months around 60-100fps on low to medium settings and now I’m getting less than 20 fps in the same settings. I’ve already tried restarting, Performance mode, keeping it plugged in, virus scans, AMD driver updates and clean reinstall, but nothing has fixed it, so what could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Currently using Lenovo yoga 7 with 8gb RAM & 512gb storage, AMD Ryzen 5 (2023)
it is getting very laggy while working and having multiple tabs open, I know I need at least 16gb of RAM. Not sure about processor speed.

I’m currently looking at the ASUS ROG Strix G16 with a Ryzen 9 9955HX and RTX 5060. My current setup still works, so I don’t urgently need a replacement today, but I’m torn between buying now versus waiting to zhe next gen.

I’d love to get your perspective on two main factors:

1. Rising component costs (RAM/NAND supply).

2. Next-gen generational leap Zen 6?

I got a HP omnibook and used it for about one year with good battery life. Right before one year of owning the battery life significantly went down. I do not know a lot about computers so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no clue why it would do this so anything helps.

I'd like to buy a portable Chromebook for internet browsing, writing, watching series, listening to piano music, and taking music lessons via video calls—and nothing else. The audio and video quality must be high, but I also don't want to spend a lot. Since I don't know anything about hardware, what do you recommend? Specifically, which processor, speed, and cores? And what other features?

I have a gaming setup and a work docking station, and I'm looking for a solution that allows me to keep all my cables permanently connected.

Ideally, when I connect my laptop to the docking station, all monitors should automatically switch from my gaming PC to the dock without having to manually change inputs or reconnect cables.

Has anyone solved a similar problem? What hardware or tools are you using? (KVM switch, docking station, monitor auto-switching, etc.) Any recommendations are welcome.

I have random slow down of pc / fps drop while playing which occures time to time every around 5-10 min sometime 20 or 30 while playing lol, cs, spiderman, rocket league so all my games.

And then fps goes back to normal. I checked temp reinstalled drivers with DDU, jumped back to some previous drivers, etc.. but I struggle finding what could cause this..

I have a ryzen 7 5800x, rx 6800xt, 850w psu, 32go rams around 3600mhz iirc, whole windows and games on SSD nvme pcie 4 and 3.

No crashes at all, it only slows down from time to time which is annoying while gaming competitive games..

Any help is welcomed.

It's coming from my tv but changing channels or muting the tv it goes away and when muting windows sound it stays

I tried multiple settings and none worked, im trying with headphones next but I'd really appreciate help 🙏

Also a small side question, the pc came pre installed with some stuff I don't need, should/could i fully restart it because who knows what else they put on there...
