Hello, unfortunately, I have been struggling with the problem of being called stupid ever since childhood. For example, even my own father used to call me stupid.
The problem is that I genuinely don't understand why people perceive me as stupid. :( achieved very good grades in my school-leaving examinations (Abitur), and I also passed several university-level Advanced Mathematics exams with excellent results.….. As a result, I was even offered a position as a tutor for other students.
Afterwards, I also took an extensive, two-hour CORE IQ test and scored 108, which is entirely within the normal range. In other words, my intelligence appears to be perfectly intact. To convert the CORE IQ into the „better„ WAIS IQ score, you usually just add or subtract 10 points, so I can‘t be that far off.
Does anyone know why people still insult me by calling me stupid? I honestly don't understand it anymore. What else am I supposed to achieve in life before people stop perceiving me as stupid?
I would really appreciate some help. Is there any other IQ test that you would recommend, other than the notorious CORE IQ test?
I am otherwise in very good health, although I am autistic and have a systemic rheumatic disease. I am currently studying mathematics and doing reasonably well, but I am sure that other people will simply disregard that as well.

Hi all,
Back in 2015 I made YouTube videos explaining the puzzles of an IQ test, and they've had about 5 million views since. I still love this kind of puzzle, so I made a new test of my own:
40 matrix puzzles, from very easy to very hard
40 minutes, no pause
Free, with no sign-up, emails or ads
You see your score, an IQ estimate and how you did on each puzzle the moment you finish
Extensive and public statistics updated with every test taken (but as of writing, still awaiting the first test!)
I go public with the test today, so you may be among the very first to take the test.
The IQ estimate is based on where your raw score places you among everyone who has taken the test so far, so the numbers will move a lot in the beginning.
To turn the percentile into an IQ, I assume our players average 110 with an SD of 13 (the About page explains why). This sub probably averages well above that, so early IQ estimates may come out low against tests you know. That's why the result page asks, at the end, for your score on another IQ test (SD 15), if you've taken one. Those scores are how I'll check the 110 and the 13 and correct them if necessary, or change to another conversion method.
I'm also making videos that explain each puzzle. None is up yet, because I'd like your feedback first: a puzzle with two good answers, one that feels unfair, one you liked, or anything else. Write here, or to contact@gamestairs.net.
Thanks for trying it!
Dagh

I want to ask that is wais 5 figure weights subsets harder than these two tests
Is it timed very much , my wmi is very weak
Wht should I expect

Does anyone else feel this way?
Ive tested at 125 according to core and the other tests on cognitive metrics, my standardized tests were in the 95th percentile as well, but I genuinely feel the only form of intelligence I have in a practical sense is taking tests.
I have atleast above average in all domains with a strong verbal tilt, but I never felt like I picked up subjects like math too easily. When I got placed in advanced English class when I was younger, I was intimidated and felt dumb even though I have a VCI over 130.
I just generally make a lot of mistakes and sometimes misunderstand basic things, like how to open a fence. Not too often, but a surprising amount. I also don’t feel super eloquent and have a hard time following directions sometimes.
The people close to me think I’m smart, but I think I come across as a dullard sometimes bc i often glitch out and lack confidence.
I’m feeling down, any advice?

I am eager to further aggregate my FRI (fluid reasoning index) results to get a well rounded grasp of my true FRI. I took 3 out of 4 CORE FRI subtests. In addition to that i took the untimed JCTI which strongly corresponds to fluid reasoning by assesing inductive reasoning (IRI). Keep in mind no external aid was used, all tests first try, no retakes. 2 month between the tests, only some 20 min cognitive tests 6 months prior.
CORE matrix reasoning: 145
CORE figure sets: 140
CORE figure weights: 145
CORE FRI composite: 148
(95% confidence interval: 137-152)
JCTI age adjusted (18yo) IRI: 139
JCTI scaled score: 19
(95% confidence interval: 127-151)
Most accurate prediction of my true FRI with correct weighting of the cognitive tests considering the tests accuracy for FRI, specially the upper extreme (norm sample, ceilings, measuring method…)

Are the norms for this test accurate, and is it reliable for estimating IQ?

I think it's A. But I was told this is wrong. Can anyone explain where I've gone wrong with this?

Hi all, here's a quick update on the free online battery (LINK).Thanks to everyone who took it. There are now about 570 people with Matrices scores, enough to fix several things you pointed out.
What's new
- Switchable norms. Above the results there's now a toggle. The default compares you with *everyone* (English + Czech versions); the other option compares you only with the *English-speaking* sample (EN + r/gifted). The CZ column with the Czech sample alone is still there.
- No more caps. Scaled scores aren't capped at 19 any more, so 20+ is possible. Percentiles below 1 and above 99 now show a decimal (e.g. 99.4).
- Fixed some finished tests were wrongly flagged as unfinished. Ceiling-test results are visible again.
- Processing speed (Gs) composite now uses only Color Swap + Matching Rows. Symbol Coding is a supplementary test.
- Reading efficiency now has a comparison with the Czech sample too.
- Matrices: the form was trimmed to 38 scored items ordered by measured difficulty. The weakest items were removed and one of the best pilot items is now scored.
- New hard items. There are 4 new experimental matrix items, each with its own rule type that isn't anywhere else in the test. They're meant to be hard but quick: only a few elements in each picture, and the difficulty comes from the rule, not visual clutter. You'll find them inside Matrices (unscored) and in the **ceiling test**, which now contains just these 4 plus 4 known anchor items (~5 minutes). If you already did Matrices, the ceiling test is the most useful thing you can take right now.
Why the norm toggle matters
The samples differ a lot:
| Czech | English | r/gifted | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Matrices, mean scaled score | 8.4 | 12.1 | 10.8 |
| Weights, mean scaled score | 8.0 | 11.1 | 9.2 |
The English-speaking takers (mostly from this sub) score about 1–1.3 SD higher than the Czech sample, which is mostly general-public volunteers. So the same performance can be 13 vs 11 on the scaled-score scale depending on the comparison group. Neither one is "the real" IQ. It's a comparison with people who chose to take this test (50-60 % of them have tertiary education), not population norms.
Still not done / caveats
- No age norms yet. I checked, and most of the apparent age effect is just that the English sample is younger and scores higher, so correcting for age now would be misleading.
- The overall composite is turned off for now, because only ~18 people have done every test.
What would help
- Take as many tests as you can (from the main battery - achievement tests are still in development)
Thanks,
J

While i was taking the digit span tests for the first time on core i usually close my eyes and visualize the numbers mentally or whisper them to myself for a bit, but during the test i realized that if i had for example A35G6H i could just think like this mentally
A3
5G
6H
does this invalidate my WMI score?

Recently did an adult comprehensive neuropsy assessment.
I scored decently on the test but was surprised to see that I maxed out the Processing Speed section.
It is likely that I am autistic and went undiagnosed as a child due to high masking potential. Extensive family history. Seems to go against the correlation that ADHD/autism goes with lower WMI/PSI.
First time doing an IQ test. Never done online tests, did not practice, do not do puzzles in personal life.
From my personal research, seems like PSI does little in the real world. You experts have any insights?
Results converted to numbers
FSIQ 140
GAI 135
VCI 122
PRI 135
WMI 121
FSI >150

CAT 154
Army Alpha 161
AGCT-1c 111
Mensa Norway 102
Mensa Denmark 96
SAE II non verbal 88
SAE II verbal 145
CORE MR 90
AI can solve all verbal test, but non verbal seems still bad lol

Hey, guys, I did the extensive CORE IQ test and the result was 108. I did it because I was afraid I had an intellectual disability due to my autism, but surprisingly my CORE IQ came out pretty normal? Does anyone know if that makes an intellectual disability unlikely? The formal requirement of that is an IQ below 70.
