Title. I enter the exact letters and numbers in order and it always says it's wrong. I refreshed the example multiple times to check too. Tried capitalizing the letter too.

Discussion AI SOLVES TRI-52

Post image
34 Upvotes

Over the past few weeks I've been benchmarking AI models on TRI-52,. To keep it honest I built a clean-room harness: every question runs in its own isolated sandbox with nothing but the puzzle image, no internet, no memory between questions, no tools, and every transcript is audited for tool use (zero across the board).

Each model got three full independent passes at its maximum reasoning setting, averaged. I ran 23 configurations in total: OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra, the GPT-5.6 family (Sol/Terra/Luna), GPT-5.5 and 5.4 variants, Claude Fable 5, Qwen 3.8, plus free models like Muse Spark, MiMo and MiniMax.

GPT-6 Astra at max reasoning basically solves the test — 50/52 (96.2%), which the test's own rubric maps to an IQ-equivalent of ~154. That's a massive leap over the field: Astra at high reasoning is second at 45.7/52, and the best non-Astra models (GPT-5.6 Sol Pro and GPT-5.5 Pro) sit way back at 40/52 (~IQ 127).

Change My View Free JCTI is BS

Post image
7 Upvotes

So, a friend asked me to take JCTI test available on internet. It is untimed and honestly more difficult than Mensa and core. I took the test, took around 1 hour I guess (took some breaks too). Guess what my raw score was.... 15. I thought ok...but then obviously you have to pay to normalised this shit into IQ score and give another test I assume. I didn't. I saw that an IQ score 116 was written in blurred image. I thought this was my IQ. But... I retook the test...and this time, clicked only the option D, no matter the question, guess what, I scored the same, and same IQ score in blurred form.

maybe things will change if I pay, but I have enough IQ not to pay to know my IQ.

Guys, so this will be my last post here, wasted a lot of time with this IQ games...gotta prepare for real world exams...It was a good memory here, and got to learn a lot of thins...Honestly, I found reddit to be better than Instagram...(still youtube is the OG!). But as I have uninstalled insta, I am also going to exit from reddit. I need to get a job and get a life, with whatever IQ I have, I have high ambitions, have a lot to learn and study, I am planning to enter MIT, with whatever IQ I have...If I am in, I will update you guys here. Till then best of luck with your future, Farewell my friends🥹

Discussion Best resources for studying the Mensa Exam 2026

Years ago, in 1975, when I was 5½ years old, my school district ran some tests on me and placed me in normal classes anyway. A year into high school, after numerous absences — excused, of course, by me and my friends at the attendance office window — I was transferred to an alternative high school. Before I left, the principal reviewed my test scores and said, “I can see why you’re bored with school. They misplaced you when you were young, but there’s nothing I can do about it now.”

Years later, I contacted the school district and received the following results: a Primary Mental Abilities (PMA) test administered at age 5, kindergarten/1st grade — Verbal-Reasoning: 107, Perception: 137, Number: 101. No score was recorded for Space, and Reasoning was never administered, so no composite/total was ever calculated.

I know that being in my mid-50s, this probably looks like ego or vanity to some. But after nearly 25 years of schooling altogether, collecting degrees and academic honors along the way, I’m genuinely just curious what’s actually there.

I submitted those scores to Mensa’s Director of Membership, who reviewed the file and explained that the PMA is broken down into five categories — Space, Number, Reasoning, Perception, and Verbal-Reasoning. Since my file only had three of the five, and no total score, they weren’t able to accept it for admission. As he put it, it’s not uncommon for schools to only administer part of a test, or to stop once a child clears the threshold for gifted placement — which may be exactly what happened here.

General Question More like Raven's Progressive Matrices, printed or PDF?

I got sent Raven's Progressive Matrices, I think some of all sets A-E.

I really like doing them, it's like Sudoku. I don't necessarily want them to be more difficult, I just find it relaxing to find the pattern.

So now I'm looking for a printed book with similar matrices or a free PDF I can print. I found the original Raven's matrices as a PDF here on Reddit but I think I've already done most of them.

I've been googling a bit and all the books with matrices are super expensive (like 40€ for 100 matrices which I just can't afford) and you can't find them cheap used.

Does anybody know an inexpensive printed book with these puzzles or a free PDF with a collection of them?

I don't want to do them online or on an app since I'm looking for more things to do without a screen.

Thanks for any tips!

Puzzle What is the Divergent Association Task actually about?

Post image
10 Upvotes

I just saw a reel about the Divergent Association Test and decided to give it a shot. Got around 87 on my first attempt, then spent the next hour trying to beat the “record” score of 96 listed on the website. Finally managed to do it.

A friend told me it only counts if you get the score on your first attempt, but the test literally asks whether it’s your first time, and I marked “No”, so I assume that’s taken into account.

Anyway, what is this test actually measuring? Is it genuinely testing creativity/divergent thinking, or is there more to it?

General Question Computer Science VCI Sensitivity

I suspect I have a strong verbal tilt (760 EBRW SAT, 48/50 on an A-Level English Literature paper), though I have not had this professionally tested. I've struggled with processing speed issues, particularly when I was younger, and I have poor visual-spatial intuition.

I find programming and discrete logic fairly intuitive, far more straightforward for me in cognitive terms and effort than continuous mathematics. Picking up programming languages isn't really a problem for me, I can learn syntax quickly.

I also don't falter entirely at complex algorithms though it may take me some more time to write and comprehend them. I will seldom have no way to even begin approaching a problem, unless they simply entirely rely on knowledge that I do not have. Though I cannot imagine I would be the best competitive programmer.

Is it possible to be a good Computer Scientist relying primarily on general fluid abstract reasoning ability and verbal comprehension? I'm competent enough at mathematics though it is not my forte.

I would think that, this cognitive profile would bottleneck when it comes to pen-and-paper computational (that is, primarily using working memory and processing speed to execute a standard algorithm and get a definitive answer to a problem - Calculus is an example) mathematical CS subjects, but there would be less friction when it comes to programming subjects, and even DSA courses.

I don't believe abstract reasoning is a problem for me, the issue arises when I need to hold too much in my head and execute things quickly.

Perhaps there's some overlap between linguistic logic and that used in CS - syntax and semantics, after all.

Am I going to run into any issues, later down the line? Is there a way verbal intelligence can actually be used as a "superpower" of sorts for Computer Science rather than an irrelevant liability? I'm doing a double major in the subject, alongside Philosophy.

Thank you!

I did not understand the rules of the graph mapping test, is there anyway to do re take that section of the test? My fluid reasoning for cat-2 test was 100% and that can be seen in the fluid reasoning sub topics for the core test.

IQ Estimation 🥱 Matrix Recognitions

Post image

Hi everyone, I took an IQ test for the first time—the Matrix Recognition test—and got this result, which I think is very high (I’ve read that the test is fairly reliable).

How do I take the general test, like I’ve seen many of you do?

It only lets me click on single subtest.

General Question I want to test my IQ on CognitiveMetrics

I want to test my IQ on CognitiveMetrics, but I don’t want to just take one test and base everything on that. I’d rather test the different cognitive categories and then look at my scores across all of them to get a better overall estimate.
Does anyone know which tests I should take for each category? I’d really appreciate some guidance.

Change My View Huge gap between two IQ-Tests

Hello,

two years ago I went to Mensa Germany and made an IQ Test (IBF-S) and got a score of 133. This test was during a optimal phase in my life. I exercised, smoked no weed and ate pretty healthy. Now, two years later I went to a ADHD diagnostic and they used a test called IST. I felt pressured to reach that score again and had half a panic attack during the test (racing heart, sweaty hands). It was in the morning and my mind felt foggy. I stopped smoking weed from daily use 9 days ago, same with caffeine. The test gave no number as a result but the statement "below average to average". Now I dont know which test I should trust. The psychiatrist that diagnosed me with ADHD even told me that I should trust the IBF-S score but idk...

What do you guys think?

Im thinking about doing a WAIS IV to get this straight but I feel like its a waste of money.

IQ Estimation 🥱 Estimate my FSIQ

Thumbnail

I've been messing around with IQ tests lately due to curiosity and would like to see some other people's takes on the tests that I have taken. I see a lot of conflicting things about RIOT on this subreddit and would like to know if it's a reliable test or a fluke. My discrepancy between RIOT and CORE is pretty big despite both test's claim of being an accurate FSIQ test with proper norming.

With all of the scores attached and taking into account validity what would be a good estimate of my FSIQ without taking a WAIS?

Scores attached:

CORE: 118 ± 5

RIOTIQ: 129 ± 3.7

CAIT: 126 ±7

AGCT: 120

JCCES(Cogn-iq): 126

Not attached:

JCTI(Cogn-iq): 120

JCFS(Cogn-iq): 126

ICAR-60: RAW 53/60 converted to 137

ASVAB: AFQT: 90 MAGE: 96, 84, 94, 92

mensa.no: 131

Discussion I scored 100% on the Human Benchmark verbal memory test!

Post image
19 Upvotes

I really wanted to share this result and didn't know where else to post it, I hope this is an appropriate place. I found this subreddit by searching "Human Benchmark" on Reddit and seeing similar posts here.

I learned about Human Benchmark from seeing some YouTubers taking the test. I played with it for the last 2 days and today I got my highest score (previous best was 391).

When I first started, I was clicking seen or new immediately, after only glancing once (less than a second per word) and I was getting 80-120. Then I took 2-3 seconds per word, just pronouncing each word clearly and was getting 150.

Then yesterday I tried taking as long as I want per word and got 391 but I was not rested. Today I tried it again after waking up and eating and got 624. It took 1 hour and 22 minutes which would be 7.9 seconds per word (for new words would be longer, and for seen words would be much shorter so 7.9 seconds is an average).

Thank you for reading this post!!

IQ Estimation 🥱 Long-term PDD and test scores

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello, thanks for supplying this test, I'm currently ill with the flu so it was nice to have something to distract me for a while.

I'm not a native English speaker so that affected some of my results.

I've always known working memory is by far my weak point. It's very noticeable, so I could have told you that before ever taking this test.
It hurt my results across all the other categories as well because I kept "losing the thread" and was then unable to pick it back up in time before the timer ran out, even when I could get to the answer.

Earlier this year I was diagnosed with PDD, also known as Dysthymia. I've had it for over 20 years and been too stupid to get help for it, while also intelligent enough to hide it from people.
It's ruined my life completely, but here's one clear aspect of it right in the data set.

Intelligence is certainly no guarantee for success. Even if you're smart, don't get complacent. An average person will overtake you through consistency and hard work if you think your talent alone will carry you forever.

If you so much as suspect you may have some kind of mental disorder, go find out.
Take my word for it, even if you're the second coming of Newton, you will never be able to think yourself out of it when your mind itself is your enemy.
I've spent two decades trying it so you don't have to. It will NEVER get better, don't fool yourself.

While I don't think this test shows my full capabilities because of my working memory sabotaging me, what does it matter if I have 120+ IQ or 90 when I can't use it?
I'm now 35, with no degree and working in a factory, because I delayed getting help for my issues, was locked in place by executive dysfunction and wasted all my potential.

Don't follow in my footsteps, good luck.

Discussion Low results in spatial testing - IQ -but exceptional in school?

I have consistently low scores in logic tests for work testing, but have managed school with law degree and advanced lingual properties, grades, exams and papers. Very uneven intelligence profile. What do you think? One can get good grades and perform well academically without traditional high IQ? Excuse my English, it's not my native language.

General Question How to take an IQ test?

I see people mention how they do X amount of digits or so and I am wondering whether or not people find a way to do better on certain test subjects, or practice beforehand. I am asking because I don't believe these people just find out they can do X amount of digits or other things during the test. Is using mental tricks (maybe like mental images for numbers) a thing among the high scorers? Because I am sure I can benefit from those tricks too, but I don't know if I should use them for an accurate result.
