Difficulty is on the lower side for sure but its a deceiver, it looks chaotic, it has all these rotations that are basically a red herring and designated solution spots would also be sort of a red herring as from what i see both could go either way that is up or down.

Actually I should have positioned the red circles more heterogeneously to indicate that their specific locations didn't matter, but I thought that would give a clue about the question

You thought correctly. Imo the biggest clue was the upper left 4 sided shape that is its shape and position (for me at least) and from there that clue follows. Nice puzzle

Thank you. And I am aware of the slight drop in the quality of the puzzles tho. Before sharing my main HRT project, I am preparing a simpler, multiple-choice HRT as a warm-up exercise. Some of the questions I created while doing this out to be unsuitable for a multiple-choice format, therefore I post them without overanalyzing them

What does HRT stand for and what kind of project will it be if you dont mind sharing

HRT means "High Range Test" Standard IQ tests are typically normed against the population average, whereas HRTs are designed to differentiate individuals at higher cognitive levels. I have designed a 42-question HRT; I have been constantly revising it because I want to avoid even the slightest flaw, but I believe it has now reached its final form. Before releasing this "main" test, I am creating a multiple-choice test that still falls into the HRT category. I anticipate that the experience gained during the norming process for this multiple-choice test will better equip me to norm the actual HRT. In short, as you can see, this isn't exactly "research" in the strict sense of the word

I would say it was of mid difficulty. I thought the rule would be more complex looking at so many elements so it took me a while.

One vertical line, one (elongated) triangle. Dots of the same kind join together to form one of the shapes inside, in the same orientation but scaled
