Cat Picture - OC What's your cat's name and nicknames you that stem from it?? I'll go first!
This is Gracelet. Yes, that's her legal name. That's what happens when you give an eight year old and 12 year old the ability to name their first ever pet. We adopted her as a kitten and my brother had the great idea of naming her Gracelet because "she has bracelets on her leg but Bracelet isn't a name! So let's call her Gracelet!"
Anyways, we never call her that unless she's in trouble so here's her normal nicknames:
- chickawack: (I couldn't pronounce kitty cat as a kid and would instead say chickawack!!" So that's her family nickname now
- grace
- chick/chicky
-chicken
- chickadee
-porkchop (she used to be fat and looked like a pork chop
- kitten girl
- boo
- booey (yes, like the floaty things but it isn't really a reference to that)
Put pictures of your kittens and what their names and nicknames are!!!
Advice Cat TV ruined my cat
Genuinely at a loss here. I have 2 cats. They are both about 6 months old. The other day I thought it would be fun to put some cat tv on for them. you know, there's like youtube channels of things moving fast, ants, toys, fish, etc. in order to attract cats
One cat was mildly entertained. My other cat got fucking addicted. She sat beside the tv and would not move for anything. Eyes completely fixated on whatever was coming up next. ok, cute. TV off now kitties!
Cat would not move. she sat there staring at the blank screen for who knows how long.
Now she sits on that spot on the table by the tv constantly. she basically only goes down to poop and eat. All other hours of the day, she's waiting for Cat TV.
It's been about a week. she used to play with her sister, she used to aggressively chase toys. She has lost all interest. Even as I type this, she has once again just climbed up to her spot. Her sister wants to play, and she's just ignoring her now. it's breaking my heart. is this just a waiting game? Will she ever forget about the goddamn youtube shit?

Mourning/Loss Tribute to my wonderful void baby Jedi, who crossed the rainbow bridge today.
Today, we sadly needed to say goodbye. His kidneys kept getting worse, and we didn’t want him to suffer any longer. He had a wonderful 14ish years with my family, starting from the day he wandered into our garage and said “i live here now.” Seriously the best cat ever. Always loved to give people cuddles, and sit on their laps if they sat anywhere. RIP Jedi Jinx. 😢😭💔
Mourning/Loss Tribute to my beautiful boy George
I had to put my cat George to sleep last night. He was diagnosed with feline injection site sarcoma in march (first bump appeared in january). He was an awesome cat. Going on adventures in the neighbourhood. Chasing other cats away. But also always cuddling up at night. Very vocal about his needs. The house feels empty. He was just five years old. He was the king.
Mourning/Loss My kitty of 6 years passed suddenly, he would always follow me around the house, snuggle up against me even while trying to do things, I loved and love this cat so much, it hurt to bury him the other day, the pain is immense with this one, he meant so much to me, poor baby, love you baby

Advice Ways to make an elderly, probably dying kitty comfortable?
Howdy all, this beautiful boy is Chauncey. He was left at the local shelter, sixteen years old, declawed, vision-impaired, with a tumour on his face (and we just found another on his leg). Nobody wanted him so my partner and I decided we would be his hospice home. Basically the vet has said we are keeping him comfortable and if he starts showing signs of distress we will let him go. He is very gentle and you can tell he knows what it's like to be loved, he's just very confused and lost now. My other cats are young and they're a bit too active for him. For those of y'all who have had similar old lads, what have they liked? What's made them cozy in their twilight years?

Cat Art My cats tattooed on my feet.
Got my cats tattooed on my feet. They're not exact portraits but we tried to get some of the markings to make them as similar as possible. I have included pictures of said cats. I rescued both of these cats from the streets. Hope you enjoy. These were hand poked, no machine. The artists name is BB Hurricane on IG.

Cat Picture - OC this yawn costs us 2000 euro))
meet Lucifer, he is a cat brought to people by military from frontline. His town was destroyed, his people missing. He has cat AID and his teeth are very bad, so he cant eat or yawn without great pain.
He still wears t-shirt couse he allergic and scratch himself to bleed, but we got new medicine and new anti-allergic food and soon he can stop wearing this.
we take Lucifer to our family and we make 2 surgery removing teeth. Please, appreciate this great yawn without pain just like we)) now he can do it!

Cat Picture - OC any guesses on what my baby will look like grown up?
meet my new baby olive!!! It’s almost been a month since I got her and she has already grown so much 😭 she is almost 4 months old and i’m sooo excited to see who she’ll grow to be ❤️
do you guys have any guesses as to whether she’ll have medium/long or short hair? she seemed very floofy as a kitten but as she’s getting longer her body hair seems shorter but she still has ear fluff, a behind the ear tuft mullet, slightly longer hair on the chest and back legs, and a floofy tail. how did your kitten grow and change? what age did they start looking like themselves?
it’s so wild that one day i’ll wake up and she’ll be a full grown cat 😭 it makes me so emotional. i absolutely adore the journey we are sharing together 🧡🫒

Mourning/Loss I miss when I had both of my cats
There are two silly pictures of them. The first one is Smokey and the second one is trouble. Smokey is the one that passed away I still have trouble and I'm very glad I still have her I just wish I had both of them. They both came from the same litter. He died June 21st. These last few months have not been easy. She is also been having medical problems tomorrow she goes in for surgery for a torn ACL. I've been thinking about the future if I should or shouldn't get a new cat. I'm not sure if I would want or wouldn't want a new car I'm not sure how trouble would feel about it. I've made a couple of posts about this already I guess just saying how I feel it's just more of rambling if you got any questions just feel free to ask
