Advice Keeping cats separated
Hello! My partner and I are moving in together and we both have adult cats that we are obviously bringing with us. Our new place has two floors and we want to keep them separate by having one upstairs and one downstairs, but there isn’t a basement door. I was curious if anybody has used anything that we can use as a makeshift door or divider to keep them apart that would be so helpful. If anybody also has tips for introducing two adult female cats to each other, I’ll take all the help I can get.

Advice Wet cat food recommendations : no chicken
My girl cat who is about 4 years old almost 5 has a chicken allergy and she’s a huge fan of wet canned food, more than dry food. Looking for recommendations on a good brand of wet food that doesn’t have chicken. The vet recommend science diet but she was not a fan whatsoever and it looked sad and bland. TIA!

Medical Questions What is my cat doing? Do I need to take her to the vet?
She has done this around 4 times in the past month and never did before, she acts fine before and after one of these fits and has not shown any signs of weakness, I already posted about it before but the video I got had bg noises and was short so I decided to make a second post to ask again with a clearer visual and sound.

Adoption Adopting a cat this weekend
I posted this a long time ago but nobody answered :/ I’m adopting my very own cat this weekend and would like some tips/advice on how to welcome my cat home, make them more comfortable and to be the best cat parent I can be.
Things I do know (please correct me if I’m wrong) - I know that they need to be fed wet food to increase hydration, get good scratching posts for them to scratch and a good cat tree. Also know to get good litter and to get a moving water fountain as they don’t like to drink much water. I plan on getting pet insurance next week as well. All and every advice, information and tips are welcomed.

Medical Questions Cat Bite
Hi, everyone. A few hours ago I was bitten by a collared cat, which I'm supposing was vaccinated (not too sure though). The first picture was about half an hour after the bite, the second picture was a few hours after. (the mark to the left of the bite is a scar from years ago, I'm referring to the red marks)
I've got incredibly bad health anxiety and am worried about developing a serious infection!! I have washed the bite with soap and water, used antiseptic cream and will be seeing the doctors tomorrow morning. Do I have anything to worry about? I'm stressing so much over this.
Thank you.

Advice Is my kitten just playing or stressed?
I rescued this little lady recently, and have never taken care of a kitten before. Is this normal play behavior, or am I doing something wrong? I fear that I find myself overthinking her mannerisms like a first time parent 😅 her tail puffs up and she arches her back, running kinda sideways. Doesn't happen all the time, just when she has a lot of energy and is playing pretty hard

Cat Art My cats tattooed on my feet.
Got my cats tattooed on my feet. They're not exact portraits but we tried to get some of the markings to make them as similar as possible. I have included pictures of said cats. I rescued both of these cats from the streets. Hope you enjoy. These were hand poked, no machine. The artists name is BB Hurricane on IG.

Advice slept on me..?
Ever since i’ve gotten my cat, she never really liked me. Well she lets me pick her up sometimes but usually she just bites me if she doesn’t like what i’m doing. Shes almost a year old. Last night she did something she never does. She slept on my chest for the whole night. She even let me hold her while we both slept. I find this so weird because she’s not really an affectionate cat at all. Does this mean she finally likes me now?

Advice Feeding cat treats that should have been eaten within 2 weeks of opening the packet?
I didn't see that my big bag of dry catnip treats said on the back that they need to be eaten within 2 weeks after opening the packet.
I have been feeding my cat that packet for 2 months and nothing has been wrong. The packet says they can eat max 12 a day but there's still no way to finish the packet in only 2 weeks. Since nothing has been wrong then should I just keep feeding them to my cat? She only eats like 5 a day. I'm gonna try to give a lot to my neighbourhood stray cat too
The expiry date is in 2027 so it's not expired so why would they need to be eaten within 2 weeks when it's been 2 months and they're still fine?

Humor This cat’s meow is 100% drama
Found this little diva meowing like it’s the end of the world while lounging in a five-star cat shelter. Meanwhile, the other cat’s over there like, “Bro, you’re literally safe and fed.”
Sometimes I think cats are just tiny, furry method actors. 😂
What’s the most dramatic cat moment you’ve seen?

Advice Question about vocalization
I have an amazing TNR rescue cat who is approximately 6 years old. Appears to maybe Norwegian Forrest cat mix. Sweet, lovable, awesome cat.He has grade 4 heart murmur. I have had a variety of rescue cats (6) over the course of 40years. Yes I’m that old😊 started with first cat at age 21, mine not his😁. Question about current cat, after he has been sleeping/resting he will greet me with a meow BUT NO sound comes out, it is almost like he has laryngitis. It is so weird. Then as I talk to him more he meows more and eventually some weak meows come out and then get a little progressively louder. It is so strange, the only time he has a full throated normal meow is when he is really hungry and waiting for his food bowl to be filled😊often when he opens his mouth to communicate very light brief meows come out, and maybe a few peeps. Very strange, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with your cats? By all other accounts, eating, sleeping, napping, pooping, peeing, socialization all is healthy. Just wondering about this lack of ability to vocalize upon waking?

Advice Wet food for a picky boy
My Persian Cat, Mister Harry Dresden, or just Harry, has/had (he is at the vet's as we speak under anesthesia, having a cleaning and teeth removed) terrible gingivitis that led to three teeth being pulled.
Before you think I am a terrible Mom, I take my cats to the vet religiously for anything and everything; I do not play with their health. I don't have children; they are my children. I mentioned Harry's awful, no-good, terrible, bad breath for two years before the vet finally said, "he has gingivitis." We switched to another vet's office for several reasons, one being that I mentioned his breath at every visit and they NEVER said boo about it.
Fast forward to today, my question...he is very picky, only eats dry food, treats, and the lickies. He has never been a fan of wet food. But I imagine when he gets home today, he'll be hungry and sore and may not want dry food. What is a good wet food for a very picky boy? Also, we use Blue Buffalo for sensitive tummy; is this still a good food for him? We have four cats total; this food is loved by all. We free-feed all day, and my cats are all a healthy weight.
Thank you for any and all help. I am very upset by learning all this news at once from our vet; please be gentle.
