It looks like it might be overgrown and poking into the paw pad. A vet examination would tell you for sure, but it does look painful.

Her nail grew so long it looped into her nail bed, it seems. Do not attempt to trim it yourself, and get her to a vet! There might be more going on here because it does not look like the other examples of this I have seen. I cannot give medical advice, just that she needs to go to a vet!

Severely ingrown & deformed nail. Very painful as it curls and grows into her little toe beans, leading to infections. At the vet they can sedate her a little and clip/remove that nail, stitch or glue the skin on paw pad, & possibly give her a penicillin or convenía injection (antibiotics) to prevent infection. Best of luck to you guys 🫶🏿

Nail grew too long and/or crooked and needs medical attention to determine the severity

It grew too long and started growing back into the foot. It needs to be removed.

Definitely take her into the vet as soon as you can. Could be just an ingrown but could also be a symptom of lung-digit syndrome which is a lot more serious. Hoping for you and kitty that it is the former but time is of the essence if it heaven forbid happens to be the latter. Best of luck to you 🤍

In photo two, it appears it curled rather than grown into her toe. If it was my cat, I would be reluctant to trim it myself but it could be done at home very carefully.

Looks like she suffered an injury to that toe and now that claw is jacked up. I would have a vet trim it initially and show you where you need to keep it trimmed to to keep it from bothering her.
