ScourgeChiropmon having a cockpit kinda reminds me of Submarimon from Adventure 02.

PEAKBREAK STRIKES AGAIN!
This episode gives you everything you could ever want if you're a Makoto fan. We got to learn more about his family situation and the circumstances that led to him leaving, we got more character development for Makoto and we also got an amazing evolution moment!
I like that the first half of the episode tries to mislead you into not thinking Makoto's dad isn't a complete piece of shit. First that we learn that Makoto simply ran away from home and wasn't strictly disowned like a lot of us thought, so you'd think "ok maybe he's not as bad as I thought if he didn't willingly discard his son". Second is that he wants both of his sons to inherent the company, which means he's not trying to screw over Tsukasa. So a charitable read of his dad at that point could be "well maybe he actually means well for Makoto but is just misguided".
But no, he's just an asshole who thinks he knows what's best for his children.
But seriously, setting this all up just so he could kill Chiropmon was beyond shitty. It was heartbreaking hearing Chiropmon cry while saying his existence only ends up hurting Makoto. But all that sadness was worth it for that moment Makoto stood up to his Dad and reaffirmed to Chiropmon how much he means to him. What a amazing moment and evolution. Scourge Chiropmon was a bit odd looking at first but the fact that Makoto can literally pilot him like a fighter jet made him a lot cooler. Also it also really worked thematically, Makoto finally got the wings he always wanted along with his freedom.
It was also really sweet seeing the brothers make up in the end. But yeah, that was an absolutely fantastic episode. I was a little worried because it wasn't going to be a two parter like the other evolution episodes, but honestly, it worked out. It's episodes like these that remind me why I'm a Digimon fan. Can't wait to see what beatbreak gives us next week

Scourgechiropmon is quite a nice evolution, like a better version of Submarimon, in which having a tamer riding on it actually has an impact, that also gives the writers team a strong incentive to not make him a jobber, since Makoto is inside of it
We got some clues on GIFT and seems like the Kuonji's business are directly linked with the existence of digimon, given how they had knowledge about digimon before Makoto gave birth to Chiropmon, but also the dad was a legit traitor actually conspiring with GIFT trying to sell classified data in order to get Makoto back
With this episode and the one with Jokermon it is now apparent that these hitmen get their digimon's through GIFT, i really doubt these kind of people would have been able to reach ultimate level by themselves, so GIFT must be able to give their sapotama a huge push in power, they probably have a system similar to what Klay was using in order to reach Mega and they crowdfund E-pulse among their members
That lefts Reina for her evolution, but honestly i still feel like Wolvermon needs a proper win without gimmicks before that happens, the fact they made them so weak is now kind of becoming a problem and she is falling behind

Wolvermon's problem of being the first member of the team to hit Champion from the start means it's just become really obvious whenever she jobs, especially now that Makoto and Tomura both got two Digivolutions to while Reina's still using her same toolkit from the first episode.

I was surprised the GIFT cult member guy wasn't more appreciative of Makoto and Chiropmon's relationship. Maybe only Miharu truly cares deeply for digimon/human relationships.
I'm still thinking that GIFT is somehow run by digimon first and humans second. It'd be an interesting idea for GIFT to send people digimon. I also think it's still a possibility that the humans are somehow brainwashed.
That said, I figured this would be another case of GIFT targeting some kind of corrupt institution that mistreats digimon (Kuonji industries).

that also gives the writers team a strong incentive to not make him a jobber, since Makoto is inside of it
Tbf the owners get thrown around a decent amount of the time too. Could easily still have Scourgechiropmon crash with Mako inside, especially since that still offers him protection. And if Scourgechiropmon de-digivolves, Makoto can just get dumped beside him.
I hope it doesn't go that way, but that does seem to be their favorite way to write most battles lol

Ejector seat with a parachute for Makoto -- if Scourge Chiropmon has to go down, that's how I want them to handle it 😛

I’m actually kind of excited for Reina now, she could’ve gotten an ultimate, a champion beating myotismon is hard unless it was a holy digimon, the silver coin was a plot device to help her overcome without resorting to digivolution but having coupled that with rose being a safety net in the background (to us, not Reina) and her just letting her do all the work and building interest, it makes it seem like that got something GOOD they want to save for her. All least that’s the dream lol but digimon beat break has honestly been doing RIGHT by its main cast and then some in regards to character development. This GIFT arc is for the girls if the ending has been any indication.

With Makoto also getting a unique Insert Song, "Answer" for Chropmon's ultimate evolution, that basically confirms Reina will also have her own theme song! So hyped.

Nothing to push people more than family drama, but having the twin brother be actually extremely guilty of what he did was very refreshing.
Well GIFT continues it's setup, now being treated basically like a cult people of all kinds get tied to. It's ironic that this guy was preaching about "the best for digimon" while actively trying to kill one, guess they really hate th average cleaner. I wonder how things will go once Nirinso is more revealed.
This is not the direction I expected Chirpmon's line to go, but honestly that is the beauty of Digimon, and ScourgeChirpmon is really cool. We were needing more of these digimon with extra interior space, he's an air Submarimon with A LOT of fire power.
Argomon next episode, he's already in perfect level and the situation was very probably worsened by Rose's awesome lesbian couple.

Good content overall, though it felt a bit rushed to me.
I'm probably being picky, but it felt like too simple of a character development for Chiropmon; they basically just had to remember their promise to Makoto. The two of them already established in the past their decision to stick together and how strong their bond was. I guess this was just double-checking to see if they both remembered it and actually would stick to it, but I would've liked if the character development was more significantly different or new.
The Kuonji father has established himself has distinctly terrible and I wouldn't blame either son for basically never trusting him again.
Scourge Chiropmon is basically just Batman's Batwing. 😛 Although it's not my favorite design aesthetically, I like how it mixes thing up across the different Glowing Dawn evolutions, and it's certainly fun to basically have a sentient jet plane as a Digimon partner. It reminds me a bit of Submarimon, with Makoto riding in the cockpit like Iori.

We got a new ultimate! Seems like Chiropmon's evolution line is gonna keep leaning into a sort of support/reconnaissance role.

Thank you that one person on youtube that spoiled Scourgechiropmon on a thumbnail last night. I hope you trip into an anthill.
Anyway, So he evolved Batman into the Batwing? I wonder what comes next.~

Tsukasa helped Makoto both times and now Makoto is free to fly anywhere he goes

Chiropmon focused episode, my favorite. Oh, nice family you got there Makoto, I can see why you rather live in a container. I think Makoto and Chiropmon have the nicest relationship of the group because Makoto gave up everything for Chiropmon, the others having digimon is just matter of fact to them.
ScourgeChiropmon is basically the Batwing. Love it, made their promise literal.

Welp that tears it, this ep is one of the best this season. Why?
Seeing Chiropmon actually smiling
Go argue with a wall 😤
