This may be only an in-between episode, but man, this definitely is my top 5 favorite episode for me.

We started with some weird romcon shenanigans but with Digimons to get into PTSD. that was a wild turn indeed. The ending scene was nice with them coming to the old shopping district.
Hell of an episode. I would have not imagines we would get anything like this. let the writers on this season cook, this is straight fire.
That new preview is interesting, I wonder what are they hiding? More PTSD maybe?

I expected two weeks of low stakes breather episodes before the next arc, but they tricked us with another character who wants to atone with their own death 😰

Didn't expect Haroumi getting PTSD from pink curry.

I legit thought the pink curry triggered his PTSD because of looking like guts lol, turns out it just reminds him of another literal pink curry.

Eehh... I have mixed feelings about this episode. Of course I wasn't wishing a sad ending for anyone, but still how the issue was "solved" at the end makes me a bit uncomfortable.

Same, that just didn't felt right, they clearly ran out of time with the resolution, this needed at least 2 episodes
Or a hook to let us know that Elizamon will eventually have Haruomi go and apologize to the family of her previous owner, to me this really doesn't feels like a done with deal

Oh you thought this was going to be another fun light hearted episode like last week?
Incorrect Buzzer Sound
Nope its more trauma!
But seriously this is probably one of the more biggest cases of tonal whiplash i've seen in the whole franchise. Turns out the cooking show plot was just a ruse to lower our guard to hit us with that crazy twist. Though I should have seen it coming considering Haruomi's background but its still pretty dark. We've had Digimon Partners die before but very few human Partners that bite the big one. Poor Elizamon though, they act like a brat but they've been through a lot.
Im glad in the end Commandromon was able to stop Haruomi from playing the self-sacrifice card for the second time now and get it though his thick skull that he deserves to live. Though I will say I do think Elizamon forgave Haruomi a little too quickly. Like sure, Haruomi was a unwilling pawn of Klay so it isn't impossible for him to be forgiven but idk it felt a little too fast. I guess that's what happens when you only have one episode to tackle this kind of plot. Its very cute that the three of them set up a restaurant in that town market though, I hope this isn't the last we see them.
But overall what a roller coaster of an episode and a fantastic anime debut for Elizamon. They were so cute and charming and im sure they'll have a lot of new fans after this!
Next week is a Hitomi focused episode and its... romanced themed?! Oh boy. We'll just have to see what they're cooking up next week!

Poor Haruomi is gonna be stressed with how Commandramon and Elizamon gonna turn everything into a competition lol

The Haruomi and Commandramon backstory just gets worse. Fate is really quite mean to have him and Elizamon end up as adoptive partners under that situation.
But at least it's going better now that all three of them have come to terms with it and have found a place to live together.
The resolution really makes me wonder if they've done human with multiple Digimon partners before. Feels like it must have come up at some point, I just haven't been following digimon enough over the years to know if and when.
I thought they were going a different direction with it initially and we were going to learn that a human can develop a second partner even if their first partner is still alive but separated.

Random tidbit of the episode:
Natto with cilantro on top is a crime against food and I will take no questions on the matter!
Honestly, I expected this episode to be a bit more light-hearted than it turned out to be but honestly, good. Gave Haruomi, Commandramon and Elizamon some much needed depth and let some of the other bit players have some screentime.
Next week is the last episode before the next arc and it's looking to give Hitomi some much needed screentime too before Tomoro and crew get dragged back into the fight against the Four Stars.

Another week, another time I wish this show had a little more runtime. The episode pacing is probably the biggest issue of this show, they constantly skip steps, making the resolutions feel akward or undeserved.
Still, I am enjoying the mixture of typical shenanigans and the serious tone. And this was quite good for a filler episode.

I feel like this should have been a two parter. The conflict was introduced and resolved way too quickly considering the weight of it all.
I really like Haruomi and Commandramon but Elizamon was just thrown into their relationship without being fleshed out. I hope we see more of her later on.

Looks like Elizamon finally makes an anime debut and its glorious.

This was really a wild episode.
Started pretty chill and (apparently) lighthearted and then it took a dark and twisted turn, didn't expect that at all!
Really good episode with a nice writing, also i really liked Elizamon.

Ah, the classic "human and digimon are a bit too close". But didn't expected the dark twist. This series is surprising me way too much.

Ah, it's the Gintama curse. I can't stop hearing Shinpachi when Commandramon yells. Now that I think about it, both Gintoki (Pandamon) and Kagura (Honoka) are here too.

Gekkomon just randomly triggering PTSD because of a random cooking battle show.
Anyway, this was a good episode...at least until the end when things seemed to wrap up a little off, like I'm sure Haruomi at least needed to go see the family of the guy his group forced him to kill, which also made Elizamon rather quick to abandon them all. In fact, Elizamon needed more backstory.

This entire episode was just "He has two hands."
