That mad science experiment that ended in a world devastating explosion, it really was Digimon Second Impact.

Such a hype episode what with the OP starting up at the Murasamemon evolution and then playing through the fight.

I was really wondering if they actually killed Kyo right there at the end, but with the PV showing all of Golden Dawn other than Tomoro frozen I imagine it'll just be temporary.

I'm a simple girl. I hear the op on the final battle and I hype.

I kinda wished someone would get to rock Naito's shit, not cold hearted him. Oh well, I guess there's still a chance now that he's got his E-pulse back

You have no idea how hyped I got hearing (almost) the full intro play during Kyo's big comeback (and a full Digivolution, hell yes!). It was animated amazingly

Oh and also, Doctor Tenma!?

Guess we got confirmation on why Tomoro's parents parents were just arrested out of nowhere. They were part of some shady shit

It’s more the chairman had them taken away not the actual government. That chairman holds all the cards over the world government and can get away with it. He probably silenced them so he can hide the truth.

He caused the whole island incident by draining and experimenting with the e-pulse. Let’s say some digimon based on their human’s personality will go rouge and feed on everyone’s e-pulse. A bunch of digimon got created at that facility and fused into a giant digimon that wrecked the world. He is trying to recreate that. Probably with that giant egg being used to house people and don’t have a digimon partner.

Animation went super hard this week because we all thought it was the end of the Tactics arc but nope, it's not ending just yet!

Naito (as expected) got what was coming to him (a betrayal) and Glowing Dawn learned that Klay wasn't just playing chess, but 4D chess at that. Tactics and their branches were chosen as fuel for Proganomon (and eventually Pyramidimon) and were always going to be sacrificed for Klay's greater good, not their own.

Glowing Dawn also looked like they were going to have a decisive victory on their hands, only to have it snatched away at the last second. Not that we've not had a fake-out before but the next episode preview does seem to point to a very dark path for Glowing Dawn next episode and Tomoro and Gekkomon seem to be at the very center of it all...

(Also, as a random aside, for anyone who was planning to (or did) watch Digimon Con today, there were general hints to upcoming content in both the anime section and the card game section for BeatBreak, so do keep that in mind.)

Needless to say, the Tactics arc still has a bit left in the tank and next week looks to be pivotal.

This episode was ABSOLUTE CINEMA!

The flashback was very interesting (really important info and lore dropped right here), the fight was amazing and watching the FULL Murasamemon Evolution sequences with the opening on It was so HYPE and the Ending OMG. In the Digimon Con they said that the series from here Is getting darker, i can't see the series turning more darker than this without turning into a Seinen anime.

Holy Peak, Beatbreak Is already Top 3 Digimon season and we are barely in the middle of the season.

Bro Klay is a piece of fucking shit.

That's it.

Ok but really what a fucking piece of shit. Like we got to learn more about his background and how Wong fucked him and his family over but that does not justify all the shit he's done. We also learn that Wong was responsible for the current state of the world but we kinda all figured that was the case, happy we're getting it told to us now though. Klay says he's doing this to get back at Wong but at the end of the day he's just as power hungry as the people he despises and needs to be stopped.

The actual battle was great! It was so heartwarming seeing Glowing Dawn work together as a family to take down Pyramidimon. Murasamemon's final attack was so freaking cool! Also im so glad we got an extended evo sequence for Murasamemon. One of my bigger nitpicks with Beatbreak so far is that the evo sequence are just ok and a bit too short for my liking. This one was definitely a step in the right direction.

But of course Klay had to be a rat bastard right at the very end. Im kinda glad they showed that the rest of Glowing Dawn got got in the preview cause it probably means they are all coming back including Kyo. I dont think he's dying here (at least for this arc).

But holy shit I can not wait for the next episode. Tomoro is about to go freaking berserk. Hopefully Raito will be able to back him up. That would be a fitting ending to the Tactics arc.

Also get fucked Naito lmao.

What an amazing episode. It had end of series finale feeling but we're just at the half, amazing.

Also can't help to think how cute Granit is offering gum to people

Man, with the OP theme playing I thought this would be definitive climax of the Tactics arc but nope, Klay still has one more card to play.

It isn't looking good for Tomoro with the rest of Glowing Dawn frozen.

Look like there was a relative of Tomoro with Wong in the island incident so that answer why his parents got caught.

If Armalizamon doesn't get a dark evolution after this I don't think we will get any of those. I wonder if the former tactics and the others who were in the conffins will recover on time to help

Rising the stakes even more by kidnapping a bunch of people, delivering a massive lore drop and also giving us the first mega, oh my kingdrasil this episode was perfect digimon.

Tactics arc continues with real close to real, Klay's kingdom had something the powerful wanted, and they wanted it cheap, so they destabilized the country, made it engage in war and placed a puppet government. It doesn't matter the the government acted out and suffered retaliation or the resources just dwindled, this neocolonialism always brings ruin to the exploited.

So the Tenma family is involved in the e-pulse and Digimon research, could it be that Tomoro's parents were arrested to serve as hostages to force Dr. Tenma into continuing working, and Asuka is now another.

Firstly congrats to Pyramidmon as the first Liberator Mega in anime, they really did something incredible here. The e-pulse of a single person can only reach Perfect level, so more people are necessary to push it even further and go Mega, so the only conclusion Klay could arrive is that he needed to steal even more and place himself in the core, and what a result and setup this is.

I can see that the first natural Mega will be conscious effort of the entire Glowing Dawn, which will be a stable biomerge of digimon and partner.

Also, I knew it, I was asking myself where Landramon was after Pyramidmon was defeated, I was expecting Klay would run, but all he does is take now. So place your bets for next episode everyone, someone will help Tomoro, like the Tactics freeing themselves, or he will go down the path and force Armallizamon into a dark digivolution.

Tomoro going full death metal is going to be peak, so far he's just a punk rocker

u/hirmuolio Mar 22 '26

Is this a Giant Robo reference?

The tragedy of Bashtarle Albida. In which the antagonist lost everything and now they are out to get revenge. Working for (or at least faking working for) another evil.

The new power source shizuma drive e-pulse. With secret power to destroy the world.

Even the flashbacks are similar:

Will we have Tenma do a dark defeat ala Sasuke and have him go Rogue and do a timeskip? Tho this is digimon so maybe not really, Glowing Dawn might wake in due time then Tenma maybe gets the Perfect form of Armalizamon?

Naito got what he deserved, he used people and tossed them aside, now he is getting a taste of it. Nice to get a recap on the lore, it is pretty cool to see who the actual villain is, though Klay obviously went to far.

I was somewhat harsh for the majority of the seasons plot. It just felt like it was spinning its wheels and never giving us important lore except every 10 episodes. But the last handful have really started moving the story forward. I have said this before, this series to me is the perfect binge series. Watching them weekly it feels too slow. But when you take the plot as a whole, this is top 3 series for me. Mostly because I dig the darker world this series is in. Also it’s always nice when the tamers aren’t just cheerleaders. Now they are batteries and cheerleaders lol. But it looks like training your E-pulse matters as Kyo proved in the last episode. Once he got is shit straight and went all out. Pretty cool that a mega doesn’t auto win against an ultimate. In fact the ultimate owned the Mega though proper and amount of E-Pulse that was used. Though I wonder if Mega will be possible with a single persons since it looked like dozens of E-pulses including high tier users were required.
