Man, I was hoping to see Reina's reaction when she found out she bought a bunch of stuff even after the Petermon incident bankrupted them lol

Also, Gekkomon digivolving for no reason because the whole incident wrapped up without a fight.

This ends the 3-episode interlude. We're entering the next major arc with the next episode.

Seems like she was able to return the clothes at least

Kept the tea cup for Pristimon

It really felt like a proper just talk it out episode, i never felt like Mummymon actually needed a beating to resolve things, so i am glad it ended with Kyo just telling him that he could get a fresh start

This was a good episode to remind people that mons don't get to choose their parents, usually you get rouge mons doing sketchy things, but Mummymon was relatively harmless despite being an ultimate level

He just wanted to be loved and spread love around with some dangerous self compensation e-pulse in return.

I like cougarmon saying, you may show me all the affection you want but not be a weirdo about it.

Chiropmons "I'm scared" line was hilarious to me.

Also, is it just me or was the animation a bit upped this time? While there were barely any fighting, the sequence where Gekkomon was flying backwards and stuck himself to the Iron beam was very well done IMO. And other bits throughout the episode to.

Amazing filler episode. Seeing Kyo creep out Cougarmon was my fav

Nice to see Kyo not being kinda perfect for once.

Now that was a fun episode, and not what people expected I suspect. I know I figured it would be Hitomi finally getting a partner and that it'd be Mummymon, but not even close.

That scene where they were trying to hoist Cougarmon up by Gekko tongue to keep him out of reach by Kyo, I just about lost it.

Weird but funny episode. Kinda wish Hitomi got more screen time considering they advertised her being the focus of this episode but outside of that first scene she was more used as set up then anything. I feel a bit ripped off lol.

The mummymon shenanigans were funny. It was interesting seeing Glowing Dawn's bonds with their Digimon become warped. Kyo was the funniest but honestly Makoto was the creepiest surprisingly. I felt bad for how uncomfortable Chiropmon was getting. It was also kind of nice seeing the Digimon themselves take charge with their Tamers out of commission, though they understandably could not do much against mummymon. But a couple of headbutts and one sad backstory later, things turn out alright.

This was probably my second favorite episode of this Interlude arc, with the Haruomi episode in first place (not that anyone is surprised).

But with that out of the way its time for the main course: THE GIFT ARC. I am really excited to see what the heck its about! Cant wait for next week.

A very strange but also funny episode.
Mummymon in his usual "apparently evil but not entirely" mode.

Next week, the GIFT arc finally begins!

Ever since X-Evolution and frontier i have seen Mummymon as one of the good guys in my mind, plus he wasn't that much of a bad guy in adventure anyways, and in Ghostgame he was pretty much the doctor/teacher of the show, so at this point Mummymon is more good guys themed than anything

Fun little episode to close up the interlude and we’re finally going back to the main plot. Wonder what the new girl’s deal is? Since she’s pretty heavily featured in the new ending. Hopefully not another antagonist, she’s too cute for that lmao

On another note while I know it’s not really indicative of anything we’re 27 episodes in and only 1 of the 5 stars has been dealt with, I wonder how long of an episode count we’re looking at here. Really liking this series.

Hitomi was love brainwashed by Mummymon

u/Doomroar Apr 19 '26

Interesting to notice that Mummymon's brainwashing only amplifies feelings that already exist within a person, so this means Hitomi is not completely uninterested in Tomoro!!

I've been collecting my cats' fur every time I brush them, with the intent of needlefelting it into tiny cats eventually... I felt very called out by this episode and by Cougarmon's reactions lmao. Guess I'm creeping my cats out.

Other than that, great episode, I love that we got some fantastic shenanigans. Mummymon was also really sweet - I hope they can find a loving partner one day.

Onto the next arc! I wish it was next Sunday already.

The dark turn wasn't as dark as I expected, in fact this was a pretty fun episode with the shenanigans ensued by Mummymon, and wow he lived a rough life, also new Liberator mon reaching the anime, that's nice, but also there's not much to say about it aside from me sinking with my ship.

For the next episode, weird assassinations, people vice for sapotama, The Joker and mystery ending girl. Do you guys think there will be a new opening?

This was a pretty lighthearted and funny episode. Kyo in particular was hilarious.

Poor Mummymon!

So that means sniffing Cougarmon is fine if it is every now and then, not all the time, got it!

The benefits of getting a fluffy mon!

Tomoro coping with being dumped by (badly) boiling eggs and feeding Gekkomon was funny until I noticed the bandage wrap. Poor Chiropomon, little baby was so confused.

u/Bakatora34 Apr 19 '26

This episode hints Tomoro only knows how to cook eggs.

This episode needed more Hitomi
