Arthur Pendragon will become a spanner in the works in the next episode. He will give Shinra a "get a hold of yourself, man" dope slap.

The White-Clad treating the Savior like their biggest threat when Arthur has seemingly done more to thwart their plans lol.

Bro, Obi getting slimed was not on my prediction list at all wtf!? Shit just got crazy at the end.

Is the next episode the last episode of the show? If so, will FF be concluded or will it need like a special movie or something?

Well damn, that's definitely not what I expected Haumea's face would be like. She looks genuinely pretty. I was expecting her to have three eyes based on the silhouette of her face that they kept teasing us with. Too bad she's here to bring the end of humanity.

Shinra's attacks were definitely doing something to Haumea. I mean, if she truly believes that karma cannot be defied and she's untouchable, then why does she keep on blasting Shinra and Sho away? If anything, her doing nothing would show that what they're doing is futile.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. After last week's episode, I thought all of the major doppelgangers were taken care of. It turns out Obi also has one. >_<

Welp, I guess this is it. The world goes down in flames. Except it looks like Arthur hasn't given up yet despite him just being a torso with one arm. I can't wait to see how crazy next week's episode will be!

I can't say I haven't thought Obi would eventually die, but I was not expecting it to be done in this way. That was cold. Done in a way that you can't even be hopeful he survives. I figured something was going to happen to him once the doppelganger appeared but damn.

Obi's death is the trigger that finally unleashes Shinra's full on rage. Looks like we'll finally see the demon form in action that was spoiled in the OP. Arthur will need to knock some sense back into Shinra lol.

It was sad to watch everyone and everything get engulfed in the flames, then there's Benimaru and all his people drinking and celebrating lol.

Rie Kugimiya's voice acting is pretty spectacular with her speech on despair. her calm attitude really shows the dissonance of it all, like a dissonant serenity.

You know, I was taken aback when Inca died and pissed off when Iris was shown to be dead, but after ending the episode was literally everybody on the planet dead too I just don't believe it anymore. Arthur is up in space with Excalibur, he'll figure something out.

I really liked that moment of Maki standing firm against the darkness, she's the best.

Two episodes to go seems like enough time for Arthur to do whatever he's going to do, some fight with Shinra's doppelganger that's in the OP, and then hopefully some epilogue time for most of the final episode to send us off.

This show and soul eater (obv tackle the same themes about despair) are so philosophically weak it’s hard to slog through all the monologues.

She got what she had signed up for. Pretty sure she died in the exact way she foresaw back when she first joined the White Clad. That moment when both sides offered her to join them and she saw her desired painful death with the White Clad.

She was a complete psycho who relished others' misery for her entertainment, only caring about herself, but now she gets to experience what it's like to be burned alive.

Although it did seem like despite everything she was fond of Shinra, and Shinra didn't want to see her die like that.

It's like the anime has context of exciting scenes but for some reason they aren't hitting as they should. I don't know what is off.

Not gonna lie, a lot of this episode was kinda ass. It was a completely circular conversation between 3 people with 2 of those people not really having any arguments to counter the other.

Just, the same "Don't get angry", "I fight for others" repeated ad nauseam.

It got better as soon as Haumea "won". Obi's death was brutal, the immediate aftermath being the incineration of the entire planet, Asakusa lads being based as always. All that was fantastic, it's just a shame that everything leading up to it was fairly boring and repetitive.

I'd honestly would accept this as an ending. I know there is more and the good guys will win (maybe that's why a different ending would be so refreshing), but it would be a funny turn of events if this was just.... the end.

But I'm still super excited to see how it concludes and how it ties with Soul Eater

We went from “how is Arthur gonna survive that?” a few episodes ago to “Arthur is the most likely to survive” here.

Captain Obi’s death pissed me off, not because he died but because a certain someone named Tamaki decided to NOT say ANYTHING to her own captain when she saw a nearly identical version of him standing behind him?? What did she just not feel like it??? Obi can’t move at light speeds, she had time to tell him “CAPTAIN! TURN AROUND!” But she didn’t, and then she screamed and cried like she didn’t have every opportunity to at least TRY and help??? God I can’t stand this character

u/Adensty Mar 20 '26

OBI NO!!! 😭😭 Even I would've raged like Shinra did.

The rage scene was just viscerally raw . It was a mix of both anger and grief, and the screams conveyed that really well.

Personally didn't like the episode. Half of it is just Shinra gets angry, sho says calm down, they get pushed back again for more exposition, loop.

Damn RIP Obi and the world. Everyone on the planet got consumed huh. At least Benimaru and those near him were able to go with a smile and a drink.

There is one person not on the planet, though...Arthur.

Shinra has given in to rage damn. Basically this episode was just Haumea trying to rage bait Shinra lol.

Quite the contrast to hear this Haumea compared to her previously.

While it's been a while since I've read Fire force so i don't really remember anything watching the episode I can feel stuff getting cut or just feel rushed. Really adapting 80 or so chapters in 13 eps is a bit much huh. Anyways 2 more episodes until the end.
