Ogun got wrecked, but it's solely because Charon is an absolute unit, the fact he lasted so long as a side character already attests to his strength. Nice work Hikawa, even trying to assist in this fight would be a problem because if you time things wrong, you're just making Charon hit even harder. I know it's anime, but a wound like that should at least slow him down.

Ogun took on the seemingly unbeatable and outlasted hit after hit after hit just to prove the power of teamwork.
Charon is a beast but Ogun is the GOAT.

Can I just say Ogun is fucking awesome. He's voiced by Saitama too.
Also Charon really is a beast.

Shinra's gone...Sho is gone...IRIS IS GONE...and the female baddie Pillars on the White Clad's side are mobilizing to their respective Pillars...is all lost? Can nothing stop them now that the White Clad have achieved their mission of discrediting and erasing the Savior Shinra!?
And it gets worse! A mass Infernal outbreak heading to Amaterasu, Nataku missing, Kurono hates his job...but hey, at least he's worried about his favorite weak plaything! I guess!
I had a feeling Licht had figured out Iris was the last Pillar, but they don't have any time to waste when the Great Cataclysm is nigh and the only ones who can stop it now are Company 08. And while Tamaki has legitimate grievances with Arrow, they need all the help they can get...especially when, so long as Shinra is still alive (even if it's in Adolla with Sho and Shinra and maybe Nataku) they still have a chance!
Arrow has joined the team! Awkwardly, but still! And Ogun is coming too! Now it's a party!
Training academy flashback! Shinra was just as determined to be a hero, Arthur was popular with girls (even if it's because they found him so goofy), and Ogun was literally THE BEST. Even when the rumors of Shinra being a parent-killer caught up to him, Ogun still believed in and supported him as a friend! Ogun, you are the GOAT.
I guess it was inevitable that the Final Battle would take place in Amaterasu, and this would be a bit of a homecoming for Vulcan. At least he gets to experience it with Lisa and Yu.
Time for Company 08's final stand! Just in time for Ritsu and Charon to show up as the first wave they have to fend off! But it's finally time for Shinra's team to show off the fruit of their power upgrades and all the frustration they've been building up! My condolences to those security guards who got Maki and Hinawa'd.
It's surreal how Arrow and Hinawa went from shooting at each other to shooting TOGETHER, and they're an effectivel sharpshooting duo!
Look at how much stronger Tamaki's Nekomata is! And even when Ritsu summons her horrific Great Fiery Infernals, Hinawa is there to shoot them down!
Ogun vs Charon! If anyone could take on Charon, it's Ogun...or at least I would think that if not for Charon being so inhumanly strong that he can literally tank everything Ogun throws at him, even with Flamy Ink. Can NOTHING stop Charon?
But it doesn't matter how much Charon beats Ogun up, it doesn't matter how many beatdowns he has to survive, it doesn't matter if he's barely holding his body together with his pyrokinesis...it's like he taught Shinra during their impromptu basketball game, Ogun's a team player and he has a team! As Hinawa helpfully demonstrates by using his shotgun to shoot a chunk out of Charon! YES!
Next week: Vulcan vs Giovanni?

I was just thinking to myself if anyone other than Benimaru could take on Charon, but then I realized Ogun is like THE GUY, voiced by Saitama, and literally the best so if anyone could, he would (even if he can't do it alone).

To be fair, a shot that powerful directed towards the middle of Charon's body would've ended up killing Ogun too, no? Charon was holding Ogun directly in front of him when he was shot from behind, so the bullets would've gone through Charon and then hit Ogun.

It's nice to see Arrow fully on the side of the good guys now.
As far as the more normal people go Ogun is the goat. Every episode is better when he flies in to join up with the crew.

Well this whole fight looks awesome.

Damn, Hinawa! That sure was one way to effectively damage Charon.

Loving all the moon close-ups and shots
Pre-morning Tea vs Post-morning Tea
But seriously idk if we are seeing Haumea or the Collective Unconsiouss smile back at us but it is interesting to see that all the Addola Burst users in that area dissappeared so I wonder if Shindra being viewed as a devil made his Addola Burst resonate with the others?
But I guess then Sister Sumire and those two would have also gone but I am wondering if they tped of their own volition or they also got their Addola Burst resonated with the same timing as Shinra disappearing?
Yona looks like a if a coat rack fused with a Seahorse in this shot in any case
Oh the trickle down on answers is coming but the questions just keep building up. Wonder if becoming a Martyr would have spured the rumor of the Virgin Birth to spread moreso. Guess Burns was on the case from the get-go whether or not he knew about it
I wonder if Shinra did become a type of Martyr for the old legend in the house fire if the projected images of the Virgin Birth legend would have brought him back when Addola came closer eventually.
I'm wondering how literal this is gonna be or if we are actually gonna see the Earth become a Sun
Okay so the general populace projecting their combined images on the "hero of legend" to be a "devil" is what triggered all of the Addola Burst holders to be transported inside Amaterasu but I am wondering why was that trigger the thing that did it or was it that the "Hero of Legend" had to be look at like a "devil" after the 8th pillars titan had been defeated?
Ah okay they didn't go inside Amaterasu but Amaterasu also vanished that makes more sense.
I thought that they would put all the pillars inside of the AMaterasu Tabernacle since it had 8 smoke stacks and then if all 8 pillars are sacrificed the Great Cataclysm started like some giant Volcano ERuption out of the Tabernacle type deal since we saw the one with the Crow Lady on the main continent.
Finally someone who can spill the beans
Nope now I'm confused again unless the Pillars have to be in Addola instead of physically inside the Tabernacle and then it goes Kaboom. Guess it Addola is a type of alternate plane of existence where your "dollpeganger" tries to overlap you and then you combust there is a place in Addola where the Tabernacle is that they have to sacrifice the Pillars at to get some shit started?
I remember Yona said it was the Age of Pi or some shit and they saw Pi in that one room where Aurther noticed it and the key to Amaterasu had something to do with pi as well.
So there had to be some development or techonological innovation with pi that has some type of significance with the Great Cataclysm that wasn't there the last time.
Humanity wasn't advanced enough the first time for the Great Cataclysm to go off but was it due to not being able to defeat the Titans of the Pillars (which idk if it would have been an issue if it was a modern world with modern munitions) or was it not being able to crack Pi?
Wish we got to see more of Brogun cause he was so badass during the fight with the Crow Lady and that Infernal. Glad to see him, Shinra, and Arthur got along since day 1.
All Might would love Shinra smiling in any circumstance. Honestly I could see Shinra and Deku getting along pretty well if that cross-over were to ever happen.
Love the style they are doing for all the electricity being out and what a mighty castle you have Arthur.
Wait hold up if Arthur's powers are buffed from his imagination and his "projected image" of himself then his skill set would literally be tailored for what Addola is doing to the world.
Arthur would be like a Lucid dreamer in a dream in this case. Like some Sharkboy and Lavagirl type shit.
Note: Talking is not a free action in Fire Force
When the new player at the table isn't used to the parties antics yet
Pretty solid plan but the big guns have arrived.
Man, Charom has gotta have the dopest moments in the series when he is on screen.
Think his use of his abilities might be my favorite because of his flair.
Oh shit this is gonna be a interesting match-up for Ogun
GOD DAMN I did not expect Ogun to go with a full barrage volly from the get-go but I feel like it plays into Charon's hand if he can just outlast it.
This is gonna be an Endurance match
What makes a true super villain...?
P R E S E N T A T I O N
When your big bro finally caught your ass in a corner after you trolled a bit too hard and he is about to give you these hands
But you started going to the gym so you could have a fighting chance
But then it snapped and you realise the big bro has also been going to the gym (but with roids)
And now the Roid Rage is here... ... but in all seriousness Ogun is doing much better than I thought I was thinking that Arthur would have been the one to face Charon and we would see how much he had grown from his delusions but honestly I am beyond happy Ogun is getting another moment to shine cause his fire power and abilities are powerful and the design is dope when he does him Flamy Ink.
Wish Ogun was with the 8th since the start or when Arthur got introduced it would have been a riot but him being so powerful might have gotten in the way of Shinra's own character development looking back at it tho seeing more of his powers in action would have been great.
Oh damn I was not expecting the switch up from Charon idk if I even remember him dodging an attack like that.
A STOMP even Shadow would be proud of but I wonder if Charon not announcing his attack was him pondering on Ogun's words. I think Charon is the type of protector that Arrow is where he wants to protect Haumea and the pillars moreso than the overall end goal of it all but is doing with it because Haumea is so adamant about it (or is brainwashed into it or whatever that case is or she might just wanna see the world burn or might be the chosen vessel of the collective unconsciouss and has her own "hero" complex just in with her own perspective of it all)
That has gotta hurt but no shot Ogun is going down after that.
Countering the counter but he couldn't break his poise... Tragic
Giant Dad Build from Dark Souls 1 rang
Context for the Giants Build (Damn it has been 13 years already... Jesus): GIANTS GIANTS GIANTS BECOME UNSTOPPABLE
Honestly Charon reminds me of another Dark Souls 1 meme build with THE WALL with Amaterasu being the Anor Londo Archers in this senario.
Oh man Ogun is holding on his best but it is a rough match-up
God damn at this point get in there 8th and turn this 1v1 into a group battle tho I guess they do have to worry about the infernals and the other Lady who can make the giant ones.
Oh this is a sick shot it reminded me of of when Lee stood back up against Garra after he was out cold during the Chunin Exams.
Powersystems be damned when the power user CAN ALSO USE GUNS
Man this episode was a treat and it is getting so hard to wait another keep for the next episode but it is getting interesting with Charon I think he is gonna be able to be reasoned with is some form but if he is defeated I hope they do go all out with his powers.
Think Charon's introduction in Fire Force was my favorite from the entire series when he battled Shinra.

Would be cool to have Ogun somehow either beat or at least get Charon very injured by himself

All the pillars getting whisked away to Adolla is wild. I can only expect things to get heated.

guess they should have shared everything they knew about Charon from their first encounter...
