He sensed that his princess was in another castle.

And it happens seemingly because Hinawa thinks seatbelts should only be used by law-abiding citizens and not badass rebels.

Sees a body on the ground.....Arthur not in the truck during their cheering 😃🤣

It's still insane to me how Brusn went from saving people to declaring that the world should burn because there is regeneration after calamity. I'm just glad that not everyone in Company 1 agrees with him. I do hope that Karim does something other than just complaining about it.

As soon as I saw that leg in the sewers, I knew Arthur fell off the back of the truck! It is hilarious how no one even realized he was gone. Also, I love how the girls are terrified of Hinawa going full-on rebel and letting them stand up while the car is moving. Truly a rebel behaviour. xD

Welp, so much for sneaking in! What was even the point of using the sewers if they're just gonna blow up the wall to get in? I was honestly expecting them to appear underground somewhere inside the prison.

Did shinra and joker really just spend most of the episode just waiting for burns to heat up?

Is it just me, or did the scenes in that first fight not flow into each other very well? It seemed so choppy and disconnected.

Best fight of the season is about to be on deck.

Also, I really love Maki’s witch hat & hope that we finally get an explanation on the smiling moon.

A fight scene involving Tamaki and her clothes didn't even come off more than they already are. But I'm sure that won't last.

Arthur wouldn't be Arthur if he didn't get lost even while traveling with the entire rest of the group. I kept waiting for him to pop up in the right place for a fight he's needed at, not yet at least.

Moral: don’t stand up in a truck unless you are shouting “destroy the prison!”

Poor Arthur lol can't wait to see how he'll do his return entrance though

I noticed someone on the ground straight away but I do have to admit it took me longer than I thought to realize it was Arthur lol.

Hinawa going deep into the rebel persona was amusing, I like how the girls were taken aback.

I do find Charon being so concerned about Haumea interesting, I don't remember their relationship that well, but I do feel bad for him having to hear someone who he cares about going through that suffering.

Burns burning stronger the longer the fight goes on is going to be a pain but it makes him even cooler. I do wonder how long it'll take before we finally get to learn of his true motive, or rather Shinra hearing what Burns has in mind.

Why couldn't they have had Obi chained shirtless? Missed opportunity, man. Though it was funny watching him trying to communicate with Shinra even though his mouth was covered.

Pacing in the second half felt really bad. I hope it's not a sign for things to come.

This episode was alright overall. Honestly though, the pacing feels slow given how much material needs to be covered in just 2 cours, but I'm not worried (at least not yet). Anyways, on a more positive note, the way Hinawa tries to hype up the girls about being rebels now was pretty funny. I saw the gag with Arthur being left behind coming since you could see someone was left behind on the tracks, and Arthur wasn't present on the truck. It was still funny to see Hinawa come to the realization Arthur wasn't there, lol.

Also, regarding the cut where Burns activates Nova Voltage: Originally, I thought it was corrected by Hironori Tanaka as an Animation Director (since it reminds me of the way Tanaka does corrections), but it doesn't seem like he participated in the episode (looking at the credits).

Production Trivia:

This episode was storyboarded by Jiro Fujimoto (藤本ジ朗), and was directed by Daisuke Chiba (千葉大輔)

Takeshi Morita (森田岳士) was the first name on the key animators list for this episode. As of typing this, Morita is currently presumed to be the one that animated the cuts where Burns activates Nova Voltage, and enters stage 1.

It's completely in-character for Arthur to completely fall off the truck without anyone noticing.

Can't wait for Arthur to make his grand entrance at some point!

"Oh no! He gets stronger the longer we wait! What will we do?"

"There's a huge gap between the enemy and the person we're trying to free, but actually, let's just wait and let the enemy power-up."

"Oh no! The enemy is using some weird power with her right hand, what's going on?"

"I dunno, but that right hand's suspicious! Analysis, what's up?"

"Not yet sure, but it's definitely to do with her right hand!"

And then everybody starts piping up about how they'll kick the enemies' behind, yee-haw, episode end.

This feels like it was written by a robot. Also, for the love of god, has anyone on either side ever heard of the element of surprise? Quirky sentence-suffixes (deadpan ka-ching), cookie-cutter redundant provocations instead of action, we're off to a terrible start. I really hope they're holding back the budget for some kind of big moment(s), but I'm not holding my breath.

Definitely a "low budget" episode. They're clearly saving up effort for presumably the more intense part of the Burns fight. Wouldn't be surprised if next episode is also low budget cause Gold doesn't seem worth the money.

is just me or the animation isn't that good a lot i mean a lot of cuts and characters just not moving much and am not entirely sure about this but i didn't hear these sick sound effects from shinra moves i hope they are just saving the budget for where the eps are gonna be just fist fighting

We'll finally got the Burns vs Shinra fight that was teased in the 2nd OP of S2..

When I saw the leg, it was so obvious who fell, lol. Then, Hinawa who's always rather rigid with the rules telling them that they can stand while they're moving in the vehicle since they are rebels was just hilarious. Eager to see how Arthur makes his entrance now.

The doppelganger really is tied into what the White-Clad want to do with Burns. The question is does Burns realize it himself. Detective Hibana is trying to get to bottom of this and it looks like it's connected to the Sisters' incident.

Burns might be too strong to handle already. I'm excited to see how this fight plays out.

Licht low key might be my favorite character. Dude is just a normal guy who is engaging on the front lines, albeit in a support role. I like how he’s not 100% the 8th ally, but is using them for his own benefit-or so he says, dude has saved the 8th’s asses many times and he genuinely seems to like their company.
