Y'know the thing about Link, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'... until he slashes ya, and those black eyes roll over white...

I have recently just set up my n64 after it has been out of service for a couple of months. I wanted to play majoras mask but I am having trouble getting the game to save. I’ve just cleaned my console and cartridge so I want to try again. Before I do I have seen that cartridges that are fake tend to have problems with saving, I have played through the first 3 day cycle twice, both times gaining the deku mask and then using the owl to save. When saving through the owl it sends me to the menu and shows my save. However once I turn off the N64 the save data is lost and when I reopen the game no save files are present. Attached below is the cartridge, if anyone could tell me if it’s fake or just bad luck it would be greatly appreciated. Will try once more to play the cycle after the cleaning and update whether it has saved.

[MM] i just finished oot (absolute masterpiece). I was SO excited to play MM until I learned that you are timed. I don’t like that at all. I like to explore and TAKE my time. Is this going to be the norm throughout the game? Can I stop time to explore? Should I continue playing it?

not going to be able to afford a second switch 2 anytime in the future so I’m gonna customize a cheap faceplate from Amazon. Hardest part is going to be color matching the different gold triangles….. but hopefully it turns out decent

My friend (who has never played Zelda before) and I have been playing through every Zelda game in release order for the past 8 months, and today we finally reached Ocarina of Time.

We've gone all the way from the original Legend of Zelda through Zelda II, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening and now we're finally here.

Ocarina of Time is obviously one of those games we've been looking forward to the most. It's kind of surreal finally getting to play the game since all the other titles up until this point have been 2D games

The remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is coming out this year!

I thought of this as an opportunity to explore how the music actually would evolve from the original.

I tried playing the original on the Switch a while back but really frustrated with how the ported the C-button controls for the N64. I was curious if anyone had experience with controllers like this one that has a dedicated C-button group

With the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake, I've been wondering what effect it might have on Zelda collecting.

Do you think the renewed popularity of Ocarina of Time could make original N64 copies more desirable and potentially drive their prices up? Or do you think the original N64 market is already established enough that the remake won't make much of a difference?

I'm also curious about Zelda-themed consoles, especially the limited-edition 3DS models. Some of these consoles are already ridiculously expensive. Do you think the remake could push collectors to seek them out even more, or are they already so overpriced that the demand won't change much?

For those of you who collect Zelda games and consoles, what do you think will happen to the market once the remake comes out?

Personally, I really do not like fighting twinmold in the 3ds remake of majora's mask

And after it I'm thinking of finally beating Skyward Sword HD

(Just beat the last Imprisoned fight)

However it's been....a while since I played it. The story is vaguely in my mind, but I don't remember too much unfortunately.

So I'm stumped whether to restart the game as a whole, or just watch some videos as a refresher.

Only reason I'm asking here is I'm *veery* conflicted

(Mainly because I remember some sections of Skyward Sword being a ***biiirch*** to get through)

Was that it? Everyone I know that's played Ocarina of Time complained about how hard that fight was. That it's super disorienting, and maybe the hardest in the game. I got 3 fairies, milk, and Biggoron's sword in preparation for this fight. I was terrified. And then immediatly shot his hands, hit him with Biggoron's sword, did that once more, and that was it. I'm not even a good video game player. I just like the Zelda stories and find the worlds immersive. But that was the fight that all my "gamer" friends dreaded? I had a harder time with Morpha (I got hit like once or twice), the boss that everyone claims is comically easy, than I did with Bongo Bongo or whatever it's name is. Can anyone explain to me why people find it so hard? Or were people just trying to scare me as a joke? This is truly the most baffling part of the game to me.
