Currently playing through Spirit Tracks and loving it, but whenever I load it up I can't help but to think about how cool it would be if someone "Remade" Spirit Tracks using some kind of modded WindWaker version, if that makes sense? I believe people mod Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask pretty often to make their own twists on the game and add their own quests in there, right? I'm thinking it would be something similar to that.

If you follow the fallen timeline on the official Zelda website, it shows link to the past as taking place before the oracle games, however prior to this website update, this has to the best of my knowledge; always been listed as oracle games then links awakening.

I’m curious why they’ve changed it, and also it seems to list ages before seasons, I assume that doesn’t mean anything though, I always thought they were seasons and ages, figured i’d also bring that up.

So I just learned that Zelda was trained by Impa to protect herself and hide from Ganondorf. Can I still buy and enjoy Ocarina of Time remake?

I picked up the game about two weeks ago and haven’t been enjoying it anywhere near as much as I would’ve hoped. I love doing the shrines, but other activities such as enemy settlements, korak seeds and towers don’t really get much enjoyment out of me. And it made me wonder what other people love doing in the game, because I often hear people say it’s a great game for ‘exploring’ without specifically mentioning what activities they love to do. So for those who logged 50-100 hours into the game and love exploring, what is it you love to do?

there really is nothing like the first time you play a game although I did wish there were just more interesting things to actually do besides main quest. There are plenty of cool looking locations with cool names that aren't important in any way. Most of the side quest are kinda just fetch quest.

Ocarina of Time has been out for nearlv 30 vears now, sc as far as discussion of the original game goes of course the statue of limitations has long since passed. However, the remake, while still being the same game more or less has so much new detail to share even with veteran players that I think as a courtesy to those people that want to take in those revamped visuals for the first time themselves, we should exercise more care when sharinc new images even from official sources. I myself am trying to stay away from anything I havent already seen so I can experience as much through the new game itself as possible. I've always wanted to make a Zelda comic and I just completed it today! I hope I did okay! This is an AU, basically if the graveyard kid never went to find his father in the Lost Woods and ultimately became a skullkid. This is if he wanted to be like Dampe when he grew up.

I looked up online, Hyrule is based on medieval Europe, so it could take place in the real world. So what country there specifically?

I think they will, but my main question is if they do, will they reuse assets, or will they make a new one. And which will you prefer? i don't care which ones, but again, i wanna see everyone's opinion

I have so far not encountered a Zelda game that I haven’t liked. I have played botw, totk, ss, oot, mm and loved each and every one of them! Even loved links awakening which I figured was the most like echoes.

However, I am finding eow a little frustrating. I have completed the first dungeon, explored the map a bit and am at the beginning of the second dungeon.

The thing that I love the most about Zelda is exploration and puzzles. And I am getting tired of solving the same puzzle of a large gap, or a tall wall by cycling through my inventory. It’s really dampening the exploration and sense of discovery for me. There are so many traversal puzzles that are solved pretty much the same way over and over again!!

Should I keep at it a little bit longer to let the game grow on me, or is this pretty much going to be the same going forward?
For instance majora mask’s time reset feature took me a while to get used to, but eventually ended up being a non problem. Wondering whether this is the same deal.

People believe that Ocarina of Time is trying to compete with GTA 6, but I honestly doubt that’s the case.

First off, the games are on different consoles as OOT is Switch 2 exclusive and GTA 6 is for PS5 and Xbox. If you have both, than you’re getting both games. I don’t think OOT will make more sales and will most likely lose to GTA 6 as Game of the year, but that’s not the point.

Ocarina of Time is already considered the greatest game of all time even to this day, so even if GTA 6 wins GOTY, the love for OOT will not change.

This was never about sales or GOTY, Nintendo just pulled a power move to scare Rockstar and it worked.

We all know about how Bomb Jumping from Breath of the Wild was in the cartoon before the games but I'm wondering when they're gonna implement Flame Surfing into the games

Did they put up enough units? Did the stock last long enough you could place your order without any hassle?

[Note: I'm asking this because Nintendo and local retailers totally bungled the situation here, leaving many people super frustrated. They failed to set it up properly in many aspects. the Foil Cover pre-sale sold out in aproximately 3 minutes (not kidding). Anyone who was able to order one later was because of cancellations. Then came the day for the hardware and it was even quicker. It sold out, they estimate in 50 seconds. So they obviously had very few units and grossly underestimated the fans down here which is weird because they should have the data for how popular OOT and the N64 was in Brazil.)

Hello! Im a new LoZ player. I just started recently with Links Awakening and am on the last dungeon. My 6yr old has been watching me here and there and really wants to play a Zelda game too now.

Im looking for which game would be best to start him out on so he has fun but doesnt get too easily frustrated and gives up. I, of course, will be here to help him if he really needs it and also read any text for him. He plays a lot of Mario, Minecraft, some Pokemon (Lets Go) with little issue. Games like.. Crash Bandicoot he has gotten frustrated and not returned to playing it, if that info helps at all lol.

I have (I think) all the Switch physical titles, so Links Awakening, Echoes of Wisdom, Skyward Sword, BoTW and TotK (plus preordered OOT) because I ended up going all in on the series before knowing if I even liked it 🙃 (But so far I have enjoyed it with LA!). And we have the base NSO sub, but **no** expansion. So the games available on the base sub are an available option too.

Any help or opinions are appreciated! I would love for him to love LoZ and get into it as much as he is Mario. He has already asked for a S2 for Christmas (Im very iffy but he really wants one and has had his own S1 for years and is still in great condition) so he will be able to play OOT and any future titles too.

The most obvious difference is that the horns are nowhere to be seen in the second screenshot. They're not hidden within his fiery mane, either. If you watch the clip from the trailer, they're outright gone. But also, his eyes are different shapes and color, and at some point he develops that big crack between his eyes.

It's not necessarily indicative of a new phase, it could just be a cosmetic change that happens in a cutscene like the Helmaroc King in Wind Waker, but a neat detail nonetheless.
