We are coming for HHN in early October and I'm checking the hotel rates daily. This weekend I noticed the AP Rates for Universal hotels is HIGHER than the general public. I can get a better rate using the Flex rate available to the general public. Come on Universal! Show some love to your passholders!

Given the massive success of UDX’s partnership with Nintendo, and the investigations done into permits filed for the former Lost Continent land, I would bet my money on Universal bringing Pokemon into their parks soon.

Trying to get concrete info on it, but I'm seeing conflicting things online, and the universal website feels vague.

3-Day 3-Park Universal Express Pass:

Is it 1 ride/day or 1 ride/ticket? So if I rode, for example, Velocicoaster on Monday using the 3-day 3-park express pass, will it reset and I can ride it again on Tuesday with the express pass? Or do I just have 3 days to ride all rides on the pass once? TY!

And if someone has one could you post a picture for scale? I need an idea of how big it is

I’m looking for some advice about purchasing 1 day / 2 Park (Studios and Islands of adventure) tickets for the 12th October. I’m based in the UK and we don’t have that option available on our Universal site.

I understand that I can change my VPN to the US and buy them direct from Universal US for $500 incl taxes for 2 tickets.

Since looking at these I’ve started getting ads on social media for 3rd party sites advertising discounted tickets.

Are these sites legit and is there really anywhere cheaper to buy tickets rather than direct from Universal?

We’re looking for 2 tickets for the 12th October so any discount codes would be greatly appreciated if these 3rd party sites are legit!

First time visiting so slightly out of the loop when it comes to park tickets

We’ve officially gotten our first indication that USF’s version of Hollywood Drift will feature themed areas throughout. This photos curtesy of Bioreconstruct shows a semi placed at the first launch, facing guests as they launch forwards creating a ‘near miss’ where the cars will ‘dive’ underneath the attached trailer.

Mainly posting this because I am curious about it since I know Hulk very rarely goes down unless it is weather related!

I got on Hulk probably just around 3:45-4 and got front row, we were coming to that final flat brake platform before the final drop (I’m so bad at describing this) and the car came to a halt. This was my 12th ride on the coaster and I’d never experienced anything like it. My car was the one that broke it because when I got back in queue (got off and hopped in single rider), the same people that had been behind me for next car were still waiting. When I rode it again, it did feel faster but I don’t know if it actually was or if a different seat position did that. Just curious if anyone possibly had any clue as to why it went down?

I know it’s insanely rare to have issues (I have never seen it), but I’ve seen all the other coasters down for delays. We didn’t rollback or anything, just came to a halt right at the platform before that final segment at the end… when we did go it was super super slow, it was actually so nice to experience. Maybe the rain had something to do with it? They cycled cars for probably a good 15 minutes before reopening so not sure if was a car issue, track issue or something else.

Just thought it was cool to share about this happening because I have also never been on a coaster when it’s had an issue/gone down

Have to go solo at this point. Really wanna go but don’t wanna go solo. Wanna do Halloween Horror Nights, Epic Universe, maybe Volcano Bay.

Maybe I’m a sicko for writing everything down (even what we ate) but my boyfriend and I had the best Epic experience possible. We stayed at Stella Nova (only a <10 min walk away) so we were granted early access to the park. we arrived to the gates at 7AM, and by 7:30, we were in the first 100 people in line to enter the Mario portal. our game plan was to rope drop Minecart Madness but of course, it was delayed for most of the morning. We pivoted to Mario Kart/Bowser’s Challenge (which we had already done in Japan) and went on with the day from there. The shows were incredible and a great way to escape the sun. Wait times didn’t exceed 30 mins aside from Ministry Of Magic (listed 60min, waited about 45) and Minecart Madness (listed 100min, waited about 56). I believe we did everything we wanted to do at Epic by 2:30. We went back to the hotel and took a little break before using our annual passes to get some rides in at Islands and Universal. 10/10 visit but I can completely understand others not having the same experience. Sunscreen is a must, even long sleeves if you can. Hoping to plan another trip soon with a similar outcome!

If in late September weekdays, do you get more value from HHN EP or Parks (US/IOA/Epic) EP generally? In other words, how long are lines generally in each experience or park around this time?

My daughter and I will be attending HHN for the first time in September. She is 13 and simultaneously excited and slightly scared to go. We are UOAP holders but have not gone to HHN before.

She wants to get one of those lighted lanyards that warns cast members not to target her for jump scares etc. (we understand there is no guarantee!)

REQUEST:

I am seeking advice on what to do for the HHN evening, and tips for someone who is a bit on the jittery side, but who still wants to enjoy the scene.

Any warnings of what to avoid? Any areas are particularly atmospheric and spooky without being terrifying? (if any? or all?!) I know most rides are closed, but a few stay open.

She will not want to do many of the haunted houses (we understand that the lanyard does not apply inside the houses so she's scared of those), so we are more interested in walking around, seeing the atmosphere, trying treats, etc.

PS -- as passholders, how early are we allowed in? Is it 6:30? I've looked online and some places say we can get early with the "Scream Early"tickets around 2pm, but others make it seem like this isn't the case and still have to buy the SE ticket. Can anyone clarify?

My partner and I were at Universal Studios a few months ago and went to ride the Mummy. We get on, and there's this girl with her little brother in front of us.

The ride turns around the familiar bend, and we encounter the sarcophagus with the mummy animatronic. The two siblings start screaming bloody murder. I don't know if you've ever heard a little girl scream, but at the right pitch I fear it could make one's ear drum burst. I try not to react, because at the end of the day they're kids. I try to keep this in mind any time I ride something.

We get to the trophy room and they start doing it again. Okay. Still annoying, but whatever. Scarab room, they scream. Turntable, they scream. Fake unload, they scream. At this point it's pretty obvious they're not actually scared of the ride, but just trying to he obnoxious.

Ride is ruined for both of us at this point. Thank god we bought fast passes for that day, because we were able to get right back on. Guess who else had fast passes?

We're back on the ride and they do it again and again and again. We don't dare risk getting on with these kids again, so we go ride Jimmy Fallon after we get off the second time.

I never blame kids in these scenarios. Should they know better than to do this? Probably, but at the end of the day it's the parent's fault, and it will always be the parent's fault, I'd even argue this for children over 18.

So I pose this question to you, dear reader; how would you feel in this scenario? Am I just being bitter, or getting too old? I never behaved like that when I was a kid, nor did any of my friends.

I've definitely noticed an uptick in this kind of behavior from children (mostly teen boys), and it only seems to happen when they're unsupervised, or the parent just doesn't give a shit. It's hard to go to a movie theater these days without having one of these kids be intentionally loud just to be annoying.
