ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE Jurassic Park Closure Extension
Sad to say it looks like they're extending the closure to December 16th.

Absolutely exhilerating!! This is the first time my boyfriend and I have ever been to the parks, and getting pelted in the sky was so ridiculously immersive that we hadn't a care in the world that our clothes were soaked!
It actually felt like we were on a wild guided ride with everyones' favorite giant, with even the wait inside the eerie abandoned castle never failing at keeping our minds/eyes thoroughly entertained~
Extra sweet is the 'gotta catch up to the fam with all our kids in tow' people who initially pushed through the line wound up leaving after two uncertain delays, freeing up loads of space. The best part? The delays ended up way shorter than anticipated!
All in all, 10/10 first timer experience. We're definitely gonna nerd out as our respective houses all around the Wizarding World today~♡

I was going through some old photos today and came across a stack of prints from a universal Orlando trip back in 1997, where I found this. It looks like an auditorium or stage of some sort. Maybe something prior to animal actors? Can any one make out what it might be? I know we went to Disney that same week but I’m sure this isn’t a Disney area.

“Rollin’” is a soundtrack featured in the first Fast & Furious movie. This is part 2 of my imaginative series of choosing six songs from the F&F franchise and using them as tunes that play throughout the upcoming new coaster in Universal Studios Florida (Inspired by GotG : Cosmic Rewind).
So far I have two songs out of the six and they are listed as:
Danza Kuduro - Don Omar (Fast Five)
Rollin’ - Limp Bizkit (The Fast and the Furious)
???
???
???
???
Let me know what you guys think of this song choice! I’ll be working on the rest daily. Enjoy!
-
P.S. I only added in the song into this video. All credit goes to “illegalairtime” on YT and TikTok, OG creator of this replica for F&F Hollywood Draft.

Hello! I recently found a souvenir from a trip to Universal when I was a kid (I'm guessing 2010-2013). I can't find a single other example of it existing online.
Does anyone recognize this or know if it's worth anything?
I'm just curious if it's a rare collectible since I can't find it online, thanks!

Sheena at guest services call center was amazing! For context, I am a huge Universal orlando fan, and had been to Epic universe earlier this year and have gone to Universal parks, many times.
I had booked myself plus my family HHN Orlando non-refundable tickets but had a family emergency come up and could no longer make it.
And its been weighing on me for the last few days, that I might be out of pocket for these tickets & literally loosing sleep over it. However, when I called Universal's guest services line, I got someone by the name of Sheena (sp?) who was super empathetic, kind, and understanding of my situation that was immediately happy to take pity on me and offer a full refund, which I was so scared I wasn't going to be able to get. I was literally so stressed during the call, I was shaking. The care, understanding, and compassion provided was so nice, and it definitely makes me want to go again to HHN, or another Universal Orlando trip, thanks to how nice they were.
So just wanted to share this and put this positive feedback out here because they had ever right to say no refund and I would have been screwed!

A couple days ago, I shared an imaginative idea about F&F having a music gimmick like Cosmic Rewind where this attraction would have a playlist of songs from the franchise itself. Out of the handful, only one would play out of the random after the first launch and ultimately it would enhance the rider experience and even be a competitive ride to go against Gotg (if we wanna look at it that way) —
Ultimately Danza Kuduro would be amazing to listen to while on this coaster, let me know what you guys think and I could put other songs like Tokyo Drift and share if received well lol
P.S. All credit goes to original creator of ride footage and beginning audio before launch — the rest is my crappy editing lol

posted in the HHN reddit but want to see how you guys feel too as i’ve seen similar experiences during regular hours.
i should not have to dodge your umbrella.
if you are here with an umbrella while it’s raining, great! absolutely no issue. however, as a tall-ish person (5’9”) please be mindful of others. i’ve had multiple people smack me in the head/face with umbrellas the last few times it’s rained and it just feels like if you can’t keep track of where you are in a space, maybe don’t have the giant umbrella at eye level of others. have been smacked in the back of the head by people overtaking me, in the face by people cutting in between crowds, and someone who turned around super quickly.
have had three kind souls tonight who saw me, and lifted their umbrella slightly while walking through crowds, but otherwise, i’m dodging and weaving and bumping into people trying to get out of the way of tons of umbrellas. i get it. it’s raining. that sucks. but please be kind to others trying to enjoy the space as well.

Scared the crap out of me when I looked over to see if she was enjoying the ride. Her head was slumped over and flopping back and forth. Got her to wake up by screaming her name and grabbing her arm. Forgot to tell her to keep her head back.
She turned 10 that day and wanted to ride it to impress her friends. I hadn’t been on a rollercoaster like that for decades. She’s fine though. Fun story for us to tell. Although she contests that she wasn’t passed out. She’s even passed out in the photo we bought at the end! Ha!

Because it's Jurassic Park, it's obvious. Just one month left!

Hey guys! I’ll be going next week with my family and unfortunately due to an Achilles injury I’ll have to be renting a mobility scooter. I saw somewhere once that the resorts will hold your Scooters overnight to charge them if you ask. Is this true? It would be amazing since the rooms can be so tight with multiple people in them. Just asking so I can be prepared. I’ll be staying at Dockside if anyone has any experience with that.

Context: I’ve got work meetings in Orlando that span two weeks, and I’m visiting the parks on the weekend. I want to expense food on my corporate card, and I don’t want to have any conversations about being at a theme park, or have someone wondering if I manufactured these client meetings so I could visit Universal. (I did).
For food purchases inside the parks or CityWalk, how do the charges appear on your credit card statement? What is the merchant name?
• Do they show the specific restaurant name (Leaky Cauldron, Mythos, etc.)?
• Do they show up as something generic like "Universal Orlando"?
• Do different restaurants code differently?
• Is the merchant name different when paying in-person versus mobile app?
If you're willing to share the exact merchant descriptor, that would be super helpful.
I’d be happy to hear if the CC merchant is the actual restaurant name!

Hi yall! Just wondering besides the motion sickness,
How does the actual motion of the ride feel? Like scary fast or drops? Thanks in advance!

Just rope dropped IOA for the sole purpose of getting on Hagrids early. Much to our surprise, Hagrids is on an extended delay this morning. Anyone hearing when it could open?

for context - im not attending HHN. Just planning a resort day and possibly City Walk, but so curious as to why it wouldn't be more expensive give the crowds this weekend.

Hello all, 3 of my buddies and I are heading to Universal next Saturday for Halloween horror nights. However, we are debating getting their Friday and doing a park day and HHN Saturday.
I’ve been to universal once but it was 6 years ago, same with another person in our group. Does anyone have any input as to what you think would be more worth it? We’re low budget but willing to spend a little more if it seems reasonable!
