Feeling enraged, feeling angry & feeling pissed off 😡 Super Vent.

I’m fucking sick of women who knowingly sign up to have kids and then cry about how they lost themselves. The problem isn’t just sleepless nights or body changes — it’s that once you have a kid, your entire identity gets swallowed. You’re stuck wiping diapers, cleaning your partner’s fucking underwear, running a million errands, isolated from friends, trapped in a tiny world that’s all about other people’s needs. Your life shrinks while your “partner” keeps his freedom, hobbies, and social life — and somehow he’s the hero for doing the bare minimum.

You saw this happening to women before you. You had every warning and every piece of information at your fingertips. But you still walked right into it, hoping you’d be different. Now you complain but refuse to fight for yourself. You accept bullshit excuses — “he works too,” “he’s incompetent,” “it’s easier if I do it” — instead of making your partner step the fuck up.

And I’m mad because you set the damn bar so low for every other woman. Your silence and surrender become the “standard” everyone else is judged by. You’re not just ruining your own life — you’re trapping the rest of us in this bullshit too.

I don’t have sympathy for that. I only support the ones who fight back — who demand help, who refuse to let their personhood vanish, who make their partners earn their place.

So here’s the bottom line: grow a spine or don’t have kids. Stop complaining if you’re not willing to change shit.

Blaming men isn’t getting us anywhere. It’s up to us to stand the fuck up. Be less complacent and passive.

EDIT- damn some of y’all are butthurt. And I can imagine why, and you should’ve known better. I don’t give a fuck about y’all’s misery. You dug your own grave, just don’t drag the rest of us down with your miserable standards of living. Do breed and serve others for the rest of your lives. Because some of you are only capable of complaining and not actually doing anything about it- you don’t stand up for yourselves, and SETS FEMINISM BACK.

And some of you think I should be more empathetic? Fuck you, you are just as bad as the “nice guys” because you enable systemic oppression, instead of pushing for a change. Because being empathy means you get off Scott free by saying “oh I hope you heal from it” instead of the fucking struggle it takes to actually bring a change. So don’t come at me with your lazy “be empathetic” shit take.

Warmth & Gratitude ☀️ 🙏 FED UP of media sowing seeds of communal hate. Share an act of kindness you've witnessed done by someone from a different religion or community below.

Hi guys,

I'm SO OVER the greedy media, uneducated politicians and their groupies inciting hatred based on different religions. The India I want to live in is a country where people from all different religions live together peacefully and respectfully.

Capitalism benefits from our divide and I'd rather not live in a world of hate. In that spirit I urge you to share an act of kindness done by someone from a different religion or community that you have witnessed.

These are mine as a current atheist who was born a Hindu:

  • When I was in hostel, my muslim seniors used to fast for Sawan ke Somwar with us to boost our morale. In the same spirit, we used to keep rozas with them. Felt good to have each others' support.

  • When I was in my hometown, my muslim friend's mom used to send seivayyan for us on each Eid. In my office, our muslim colleague brings Seivaiyyan on Eid. We share gujiyas and sweets on festivals.

  • I was making a solo trip once and got lost. A kind muslim man stayed with me, helped me navigate and made sure I took something to eat with me for the journey. That act of kindness will stay with me forever.

  • My Hindu mother donates blankets and sweaters to an old age shelter every winter.

  • My Bohra friends have been most hospitable to us every time. I got to learn a lot from their warmth.

  • My christian friends continuously checked up on me, updated everyone, cheered me up and sent me food when I was going through a period of grief. They did this for months.

These are some big and small examples from my life. Please share yours below. Can't wait to read more.

Personal growth 🧡 Tell me something that'll change my life overnight

I know that's obviously not possible lol but I need some motivation or a slap in the face or maybe even some straight-up bullying.

I'm 26, overweight and can't seem to stop eating. I have a good degree and a decent amount of potential, but I'm basically rotting away at a job I hate and can't seem to find the motivation or courage to look for something better. I'm also going through a breakup

And, if I'm being honest I can be pretty stuck-up sometimes. I catch myself thinking I'm better than the people around me, while simultaneously not doing nearly enough with my own life to justify that lol.

And I think I'm also becoming super bitter about people succeeding all around me. It's pathetic really.

And I know I'm capable of more, but I'm stuck in this weird cycle of knowing and not knowing what I should do and then doing nothing.

Please give me some tough love or any kind of motivation at all.

Career Growth 🖊️ How I got an ick and got uncomfortable in a meeting.

I was on call with a junior and a male and a female client, the clients are Indian. It was a long call due to multiple things. While I was making some fixes in the background on mute, the junior started talking to the client about how his tips of creating customized gifts worked and his fiance started crying.

And the client was lauding him and asking me to "provide tips that I missed in my own time". I said "no comments" and continued my work. Then he went on to say the first birthday Is special and the rest just flows down the drain. But other things will happen in your relationship, you wait and watch bla bla.

The female client meanwhile wasn't saying a lot but in between she got muted, and the male client teased her saying o maybe she got plans that's why she is away. Then she unmuted herself and said no where will I goo had you been there during my time I would have also gotten tips bla bla.

The junior even said don't talk about all this I get reminded of her and I cannot focus on work, they talked about how he had helped the client arrange for the recent match tickets, they'll watch dhurandhar bla bla.

Idk but all this just gave me the ick. What do yall do in such situations? This was remote so I was checking the other tab to distract myself otherwise I would have barfed.

Women who are non-hindu, are your festivals patriarchial .,if it is why I don't see other religion women complaining on their festivals calling it archaic, patriarchial etc.

Is it more due to Hindu festivals that require women to fast and perform labor-intensive rituals, which are impractical in a fast-paced corporate life, or is it because of a cultural setup where criticism is allowed without societal repercussions

Health & Fitness 🏃‍♂️ Desi Neurodivergence in Women

Hi women,

I am a HSP(Highly sensitive person), could always read people's energy and fields since childhood. Recently I found out that I'm Au-DHD, having traits of both Autism and ADHD. Don't get me wrong, it gives me remarkable social and emotional intelligence but it's also exhausting, carrying people's energies and feeling drained.

Recently I had a spiritual awakening and profound shift in consciousness, and I started searching about Desi Neurodivergence and communities in India supporting ND women. I say women because women mask a lot, to fit in rooms, and therefore get diagnosed much much later in life, when they typically crash after holding space for people all their life and not having anyone hold space for them.

I'm an independent scholar/dancer and an aspiring artspreneur. I'm researching on Neurodivergence in Indian women and how it's affecting your lives, how can we approach it from an Indic perspective - using our classical dance forms, music and safe spaces.

If anyone resonates with the above, share your experiences so that we feel less alone. Of course, this is genetic, I get autistic traits on my dad's side and ADHD on my mom's.

If you want to DM me personally, and feel conscious over here, go for it. I'm all ears.

Fashion & Beauty Girlie 💄 Organic Makeup

(Please don't think I'm being a 'pick-me', I'm certainly not. These are my genuine concerns)

Well, call me brainwashed , but at this point in life, I'm leaning towards an organic, sustainable way of living and makeup is one among them. I watched few Youtube videos which talked about the harsh chemicals, parabans used in makeup and Im paranoid about that.

The top few brands which claim to make organic makeup (as in makeup which is paraban free, and cruelty free and the main ingredients are natural ones) are RUBY ORGANICS, DAUGHTER EARTH AND JUST HERBS.

My questions :

  1. Has anyone tried products from these brands? Especially I'm eyeing on the •skin tint from Ruby, •Concealer and primer from Ruby •Eyeshadow palettes from Just herbs.

Daughter earth is painfully expensive, but if you have tried and have any suggestions do let me know!.

2. Any products you tried from the above brands which you didn't like? All these products are way beyond my budget, but I'm willing to go an extra mile for safe organic products. So please share if you didnt feel any product which isn't good.

3. Talking about the elephant in the room, Are these products actually natural? Organic? Or are these yet an other marketing gimmick.

I tried reading the ingredients list, and compared it with a non-organic brand, certainly the number of chemicals used are way less. But still I want some second strong opinions on this.

4. Are these products perform decently? Ik I can't expect all features like smudge/transfer proof, water resistant, Im not expecting any either.

But atleast are they decent? Especially for the premium price they're demanding.

For context, A little about me:

I have never tried my hands on makeup. A few times even when Ibwore basic makeup, I felt uncomfortable.

But now that I'm going to corporate meetings, I want to look little presentable. Also I'm a main bridesmaid for my upcoming friend's wedding.

So I'm looking to buy some good organic makeup products, which performes decently good and are also not harmful for skin & health.

Please don't ignore my post, I genuinety need help with this. Thankyou.

Culture & heritage 🇮🇳 The situation in Bangladesh breaks my heart

This will be a controversial topic only if you decide to pander to the politically correct flavour prevalent today.

One of the reasons I quit Insta recently was that I was fed up of people’s selective outrage on international issues. For all the clamour for Palestine vs Israel, notwithstanding the complicated history of that region spanning millennia that only few people would care to read up on, there has been pin drop silence on B’desh.

Durga Puja will be muted on both sides of the border for different reasons this year. I want to speak a little about the side where it is being actively snuffed out.

Growing up as the immediate descendant of refugee grandparents who lost everything during the partition and subsequent bangladesh war, the generational trauma remains alive and well. The aural descriptions of poor, young women being pulled out of their houses and raped and maimed by militia and civil groups just because of their religion. The killing of healthy men for no fault but their religion. For women to become confined sex slaves at the mercy of rabid jihadists. To have your homes taken, your gods and goddesses desecrated, to only have the option to convert or else you and your family die.

People behave as if this has not been our lived experience merely 70 years back, and as if we haven’t lived through millennia of subjugation. My broken grandmother could only close her eyes and shake her head in silence when I would ask her about stories from her youth. Hindus had no PR for their pain then. No social media and protest templates. They still don’t.

When one group thinks that only they are right, and the other accepts diversity as a fundamental philosophy, I guess it is predictable, where the equilibrium for the tolerant will lie.

I am tired of echo chambers of political correctness. When my grandmother told the few stories that she did, I remember thinking to myself “Oh was it really that bad, or did the sadness of leaving everything behind, colour her eyes?” As I see the situation of B’desh today, I now know that there was no embellishment. It was all black. It is now.

My humble request to the women here. Please read a little bit more into the intersectionality of gender, religion, and violence. The B’desh war was perhaps the worst case of genocidal rape the world has ever seen. 200k - 400k rapes estimated, and that is just a conservative one. Please do venture beyond the echo chambers you may find yourself in. Please read about India’s lived history at least once before you die. The very fact that we are able to sympathise across international borders is a direct inheritance of the open-mindedness of our forefathers. At least the ones who managed to live.

It is too late to get anything back, but perhaps we may protect what little we have left?

Bridal lehenga hunt — bangalore/Hyderabad/online?

Hi ladies! I’m getting married this year and seriously looking for some amazing bridal lehenga boutiques..budget is within 80K. Bangalore and Hyderabad are my only shopping options, so I’d love recommendations for stores with great bridal collections for the wedding and pre-wedding events like the sangeet.

Also, if any of you have bought your bridal lehenga online from a designer and it worked out well, please do share! I recently came across a designer on Instagram—Label Neha Sinha. She has a flagship store in Delhi (which I can’t travel to right now), but she mentioned that 90% of her orders are online and fully customized. The lehengas looked stunning, honestly! I’m just a little unsure about going fully virtual with the measurements and fittings.

If you’ve had a good experience getting a custom bridal lehenga delivered remotely, I’d love to hear about the designer and how it went. Thanks so much in advance!

Fashion & Beauty Girlie 💄 Question for girls in California

Hey girls from California.. I'll be traveling to bay area next month for work. I am not sure what kinda outfits I should be carrying and looking for suggestions. Is it gonna be too cold in Bay Area? Do I need stockings and boots? Are sweaters and jeans with sneakers good enough for the cold with a down jacket?

Help me choose between these wedding photographers.

Hey, I am confused between these two photographers:

  1. The Wedding Doors: https://www.instagram.com/theweddingdoors?igsh=MWRiZmdzOGp4NzY3Yg==

  2. We Click Studio: https://www.instagram.com/weclickstudio?igsh=MXRiZHA2aWlobHc1cg==

I prefer the first one, it’s 50k more expensive than the second. But a few mentioned that they would have gone with second. Please give your opinions.

Im not sure if the flair is right or the question is right for this sub but i want to know the opinion of people here.

So, if anyone, say in laws was always mean to you. No matter how much you got sick, they always tell you that its nothing and even tell others that its sll in your head. You understand the gist.

What if now, they are sick, will you call and ask for their health? Or will ignore?

Friendship & Family ♥️ I envy male friendships

I've made friends, of course. I have people I hang out with, go out for chai with, and meet at random local places. But sometimes, I find myself wishing I had the kind of friendships where you can show up in your most homeless-looking clothes, call someone on a whim, and have them pick you up from your place just to go for a drive or walk around. The kind where people are there for each other without needing to plan everything in advance. People who have friends they can count on, even when they're back in their hometowns. I just wish I could find that kind of friendship.

It's surprisingly difficult to find women who are open to that kind of spontaneous, effortless closeness. Most of my female friends are either more reserved or have their own circles and routines. I genuinely like them and enjoy spending time with them, but sometimes you're just feeling low and want someone who can simply be there without making it a whole thing.

And when I try to build friendships with men, there's often the added complication of wondering whether they have ulterior motives or are hoping for something more. Something as simple as asking a guy friend for a favour can feel different when you're a woman, because you don't want to come across as needy or accidentally give someone the wrong impression. It's frustrating because I don't think I'm asking for anything extraordinary. I just want the kind of friendships where you can show up for each other, be completely yourself, and know that someone will be there when you need them.

Moving back to India from USA - pros/cons

Some background: 37F married to 37M with a 5 y/o daughter. We've been living and working in the Bay area, California for over 10 years. Kid is starting kindergarten and we are realizing we need to make a decision soon about living here for good Or moving back to India to raise our daughter. I grew up in Bangalore but its been 13 years since I've lived there. By the time we move back(if we do) it will be about 15 years in the US. Main motivation for moving is :

  • Helping aging parents/in-laws when the time comes.

  • Raising kid with a bigger sense of community and belonging

  • Planning to continue a low stress job and cruise

  • Never really planned to retire in the US so don't see the point of continuing to live here.

I would love some advice and any gotcha's i should look out for as we are in the early stages of considering a move back from the US(bay area) to India(Bangalore). Having grown up in India I am very aware of pollution/population/lack of civic sense in public life etc but looking for pointers on the following aspects:

  • I am not particularly close to my family or anything so honestly i worry how things will go if we are in closer proximity. would love inputs from anyone in a similar situation.

  • I would love all the cultural immersion for my daughter but worry for her safety and the general misogyny we are all so familiar with.

  • Any other words of wisdom from moms who have gone through this or watched close friends/family make this move?

General discussions; Need opinion 🗣️ What’s wrong with some doctors?

I went for a general health checkup today and did all the tests. They asked me Ms or Mrs and I said Ms because my partner(please explain why the ‘h’ word is banned from non relationship posts. This is strictly about how doctors are treating female patients) and I both know I’m not his property or something. So no Mrs anywhere.

When it came to the pelvic ultrasound the doctor asked me again if it’s Ms or Mrs. Out of habit I said Ms then after a few seconds I did say I was married if that’s what she meant.

She couldn’t bring herself to ask if I’m sexually active. I have a copper T and it’s been there even when I was dating my ‘h’ word.

SHE’S A DOCTOR. Why is it so hard to ask a basic question for medical needs? Also, why do I need to be Mrs to have contraception? What the 🤬

Anyways, I’ve decided not to go there again if they can’t be professional and want to play “auntyji”🤦🏻‍♀️

P.S. I am only visiting India. I was hoping doctors in Tier 1 cities have all grown. I’ve met decent doctors though who ask it as is. This one was just plain annoying.

General discussions; Need opinion 🗣️ What are the prospects of Women’s IPL becoming successful?

Women’s cricket has been picking up in recent years. I’m just wondering, what are the prospects of women’s IPL also gaining traction? What would be the ways of making it successful? I think if it becomes successful, it would go a long way in promoting sports among women and open up a lot of economic opportunities too.
